What game did you play the most this past gen?

1200+ hours for L4D 1+2 combined (Versus mostly)

500 hours for Halo Wars on Xbox 360 (online, not including campaign)

Unknown amounts of Halo 3, Reach, Gears1-3. But lots.

World of Warcraft from launch until first expansion.... disgusting amounts.

Almost at 18 days of play time.

Probably more than 50 days of play time on XIV, 500+ days on Final Fantasy XI before I was banned.

Does WoW count?

Came to post the same =)

Then thought probably Gears 2. Then read the thread and thought nope, Rock Band. Oh, wait, maybe Burnout Paradise. Played a lot of Minecraft and Lego games, but probably feels like more due to all the time also watching my son play. Then I remembered.

Tiger Woods '09

Yup. I wouldn't want to see my time on that. Nothing that competes with two bajillion hours of Elder Scrolls or some of these other comments, but I sunk some real time (for me) into this one chasing that 1000/1000.

One of these

Tekken 6

Little Big Planet 2 (Create Mode)

Garry's Mod (had a lot of fun with this now-defunct RP server)

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Dark Souls
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy XIII-2
MGS 4

So many playthroughs of these games. Hell, I think next gen I will be playing through these four again. I just can't quit them. Dark Souls probably has the most hours spent.

World of Warcraft by a country mile.

Black Ops 2 a ways back.

I didn't count WoW as it isn't really part of this generation time-wise, but if I were to then yeah, nothing will probably ever touch my WoW playtime at this point.

80hrs in zelda tp

how do you see hours in ps3/ i know how to see in wii.

Not all games tell you, usually you have to look at the Info of your save file in the XMB or in-game.

I've sunk hundreds of hours into MvC3/UMvC3 and Rock Band 2 this gen.
I put quite a bit of time into Halo 3 but man, that seems so long ago.

Yeah I forgot PS2 and FFXI

2.5 Years... Jesus... Never Again!...

Wait FFX|V is coming out, it's a MMO... DAY 1...

I never fucking learn ; ;

I think I sunk about 60-70 hours into Red Dead Redemption, including single and multi.

That's probably the most.

MGS4 might be a close 2nd, with maybe 50-60 hours total across multiple playthroughs

Holy shit. I can't imagine putting 1200 hour into anything. Good for you, I honestly wish I liked any game that much.

Counter-Strike: Source. Over 1000 hours wisely invested since Steam began tracking time played with the 2010 UI overhaul. I couldn't even begin to guess how much time I've spent with the game (and indeed with the series as a whole) all up.

Does Counter Strike Source count as this gen? If so, it would have to be that. Probably over 500 hours. Played it before Steam tracked playing time.

Technically, he didn't specify that the game has to be current-gen. ;)

Final Fantasy XIII - 4 seperate play throught.

Honestly didn't stick with any game for a super long time this gen. Moved from game to game a lot more.

Unless we are counting WoW in which I have 35 days played.

Halo 3 - 1847 MP matches. That plus spending entire nights in Custom Games with friends and campaign probably gets me close to 300 hours played.

Brawl and MW2 are probably somewhere behind that.

That's true. He really only asked for a game you played during the generation.

Man, I loved me some 24/7 cs_office and de_dust2!

It's either Call of Duty 4 or Battlefield 3.

NBA2K would probably be first if you combine the game time from every year I bought the game.

Minecraft might be up there as well. I played that an unhealthy amount early on in the Alpha.

This thread makes me realize that I enjoy to talk and read about games more than to actually play them. It's kind of weird but I guess there are lots of others who feel the same way.

Edit: Mine are SSBB and Skyrim.

I've barely played CS online since I switched ISPs a couple of years ago. :( ADSL prices here should reduce a little bit across the board in a few months, so hopefully I can switch to a more reliable ISP (without sacrificing my download habits) and get back on that horse while I wait for the fibre rollout in my area to finish.

Good god man. I think we have a winner. I must ask: how did you manage to hit that in DXHR?

I enjoyed playing the game and screwing around with all of the gadgets so it kept me entertained for a while with different strategy playthroughs. *shrug*

BTW that Last Remnant total doesn't even take into account the many hours that I put into the X360 version. It's one of my favorite games ever.

During this past gen or from this last gen?

If during is good enough, it's Super Smash Bros. Melee and Persona 3 & 4.

Out of games actually released for this gen, it's probably Team Fortress 2, but I'm not proud of that. For handheld, the Ace Attorney series and Pokemon Pearl.

There has been quite a few games this gen I've dumped an insane amount of hours into. First and most obvious is WoW, depending on what we mean by "this gen" that time amount changes. From launch, though, I have close to 10,000 hours clocked in.

Past that into normal non-mmo game territory the second highest would be the collective Pokemon Gen 4 games. 400 hours into Pearl, 350 into Platinum, and something like 30 into Diamond, so nearly 800 hours between the 3 games. Minecraft comes in second with around 400 hours total (I've actually been playing in the same single player world for almost 2 years now! It's amazing how much I've done in that world). After that Pokemon Black comes in at around 350 hours, Final Fantasy 12 (if we're including that as well, since it came out in late 06 for us) with around 300 hours, and then Final Fantasy 13 at around 200 hours.

There are a few other games I've sunk about 100 hours in like Civ 5, L4D2, Last Remnant, or Binding of Isaac, but 100 hours is pretty measly compared to anything listed above.
