Seriously Squaresoft, WTF?

There were always silent skins in the game (Marco polo and Ghengis Kahn) they just added tons and tons more. I agree that they were annoying and had no place in the game though.bandresen said:Uncharted 2 Multiplayer
The fucking skins. The game game was balanced around that you could hear the enemies walk, the enemies would scream when you threw a grenade at them.
And then the skins came. No sound when they walked or ran. They didn't say anything.
And that's just the gameplay. Many of the skins are not recognizable as being either good or bad.
Guy in hawaii-shirt used to be good, now there is another guy in a hawaii-shirt that is evil.
Too much of some things is just bad. There is a reason Team Fortress 2 uses red and blue for their teams.
I didn't know those two were part of the original game and not a post-release patch.Yeef said:There were always silent skins in the game (Marco polo and Ghengis Kahn) they just added tons and tons more. I agree that they were annoying and had no place in the game though.
It used to be that those were only displayed if you got closer to a different player though.I have to disagree with the team color thing though. Teammates always had a big green arrow and their PSN name over their heads so it's fairly easy to differentiate between allies and foes.
Agreed. My main point are the silent skins and the ones that have no place in the fiction. Not only that, but if you'd played the single player it was easy to tell by voice alone who was good and who was bad

I think a lot of the changes they did with Battlenet 2.0 in SC2 are pretty bad. They are slowly improving on it now, thank God.
I don't get the GTA IV hate, San Andreas was the third installment on the old engine so it was pretty normal that it had so much features. GTA IV compared to GTA3 is a much better experience, nostalgia aside.

I agree 100%, but you're going get a whole bunch of people screaming about how you're a PC elitist. It happens to me now matter how calmly I explain why I like BF2 more.slamskank said:Bad Company 1/2 I expect to get flak for this because for a lot of people this series looks like the savior of online shooters next to MW2. I just can't play it frankly, it's inferior to BF2/1942 in every way save for destruction. The maps are small and narrow, the classes suck, the gunplay manages to somehow be worse than BF2. The game is dumbed down in size and scope, and what's left is a shell of what Battlefield should be. Playing it, the classic BF moments just don't happen and I hate it for delaying BF3 by just a day. Worst of all, because of this series' success, BF3 is multiplatform now and will likely be horribly gimped on the PC.

I hear the VC version is the one to get. I suppose I could rephrase and say I want my Zeldas 2D again (with a normal control scheme, thx).StarEye said:Zelda 3D has never been challenging. OOT was not hard at all, neither was Wind Waker, and I haven't found what I've played of TP hard either. Majora's Mask was perhaps the hardest of them, but only because of the time limit and all. That said, I never got to finish it... how is the VC version?
The Gamecube version (in Zelda Collector's Edition) is the worst because it has an emulation glitch in MM where it can erase your entire memory card. So I'd recommend the VC version.StarEye said:Zelda 3D has never been challenging. OOT was not hard at all, neither was Wind Waker, and I haven't found what I've played of TP hard either. The ironic thing is they were talking up the "realism" of the story in San Andreas.Giard said:Really disappointing after San Andreas.
Not a bad game by any means, but I wish they would've kept the "realism" far away.

No exploration, completely linear, awful and intrusive story, boring level design, poor controls, stupid design decisions like the pixel hunt bits, and a mediocre combat system that gets old halfway through yet is the main focus of the game.
Pretty much everything about the game made me scream this thread's title.
