Maybe they'd go with the original setting of the story, which is a fictional Chinese setting but everyone has an Arabic name and is Muslim. They would find someway to make the setting fictional European.

In the movie? Hollywood Arab, which is a mix of Arabic and Indian culture (Tigers, Taj Mahal, and Agra(ba) are Indian). Are they even Arab/Muslim though? It's so hard to tell.

What?
I know we are on a videogames forum, but come on....
Nah, he'd just be voiced by Seth Rogen.
I don't know why it's a stupid question. There are a lot of Indian influences on the story, not to mention Disney movies rarely mention real location. And the only allusion to Islam is "praise Allah".
Would conservatives be shocked that there is going to be an Arabian Disney Princess? Or that the characters are Muslim?
And throughout the movie you can expect some Seth Rogen laugh's.
Genie: "No matter what anybody says, you'll always be a prince to me. Ah ha ha ha."
The opening song to the movie is called "Arabian Nights".

In the story? Muslim Chinese, in the age of Caliphate (so more Muslim culture and names rather than Chinese).
Everyone would call ISIS propaganda. Seriously.

Who would voice Genie?
Oh I haven't gone out of my way to hear the soundtrack.
Voices for animated films are usually recorded years in advance. So it would likely still be Robin Williams, but just be bandied about as "his final performance" or something.Who would voice Genie?
