No, there is no fucking way. 6 feet 125 lbs is unbelievably skinny. I'm surprised you're not dead.

O_O
StormyTheRabbit is talking about kilograms of course :lol. If not, even I would be shocked.

You do not eat too much. The only reason I can think of where you are actually eating enough and do not have a possible eating disorder is if you are hyperthyroidic, which is rare. Do you get the jitters a lot? Do you have problems sleeping? Fast heartbeat? Anxiety? Attention issues? Those are signs of hyperthyroidism.

I'm not ragging on you, I'm just a little concerned. Your weight isn't healthy, and you can damage yourself via undereating.

As for the 130-150 6'5" guy, same thing, only worse. Eat more, and possibly seek medical help. There's thin, and then they're so-thin-there's-something-wrong.
Many people like me exist outside America, I guess.
Everything is perfectly fine, dude. My only problem is my eyesight, which isn't that bad.

I told you I am very healthy and I spoke with many fitness experts. Many of them were actually impressed by my stamina. I can also handle more weights than some slightly more body built people. That's just my body type, in addition to that, I am cautious about what I eat. I have never eaten fast food such as McDonaldz or anything like that. I also don't drink soft drinks. I can't stand the thought of drinking black liquid.

How are people here so tall? I'm 5'11" and feel very short, when in fact that height is the tall end of average...

Edit: Short compared to GAF of course. Otherwise I am a pretty good height in my class.

People weigh themselves in kilograms? What is this backwards world I live in.
Yes, many countries actually use kilograms and centimetres in measurements. In my opinion, they are better than feet and pounds.

Um dude, I'm 5'6 and 130lbs. I'm thin as a stick. Unless you're missing a few internal organs, how can you be 6'5" and 130lbs?

I dunno, 130 isn't my normal weight. There have just been times in recent history where I'm at it for a few days. I'm generally between 140-150. Sometimes, like after thanksgiving I'll hit 155 for like a day but then be back at 140ish the next day.

Oh, I'm talking about pounds.

For whoever wanted pics:

Geez, it's like Jason and the Argonauts in here.

GAF is full of freaks or liars (or both). I remember in the past, "post your height" threads have probably had an average of about 6'1"/6'2". Apparently nerds are tall nowadays.

6'4" here and currently about 220. I was heaviest at roughly 235-240 when I was in the army about 7 years ago. Now I just work out to stay in shape, I prefer my agility now to what it was when I was in the army.

It's so hard to gauge weight, everybodys body is different. I'm 5'10" and weigh at any given time between 134lbs - 140lbs and look perfectly normal. Yet I have a friend thats the same height and weighs roughly the same and people constantly give him a hard time for being too skinny not realizing we weigh the same thing.

I'm going to go with the mirror thing, if you like what you see then your good to go.

Well, weight distribution around your frame and the ration of heavier muscles to lighter fat can make people look very different.

BMI is always a little suspect to me, at my height (173,5 cm/5´8") 56 kg is healthy? I guess it depends on how you define healthy. I´m hovering between 74-76 kg myself right now, finally got tagged as "overweight" :D But to hit the "obese" BMI I´d probably have to take steroids on top of my training.

Eh, and Stormy, aren´t you afraid that one day a dog will mistake you for a twig and try to play fetch? A week of dieting or so and you´d look like Bale in The Machinist o.O.

at 6'4 and oh probably about 260 lbs I'm not horribly overweight, but heavy to be sure. I have never exercised (well I did for about a week a couple years ago) and I drink pretty much every day. Going now into my 27th year, I think that way of living is finally taking a toll on me. I have terrible hypertension, my hands shake, heart races all the time, and always feel short of breath. Hopefully I'll get to working on that sometime soon.

Lump me into the "freak" category. Frankly I hate being this big. It's tough to get through everyday life when everything is "too small" for you.

Maybe it's because the thread starter is so tall, so it's natural that a lot of tall people post in here?

It's not rocket science..

I wouldn't say I hate it, but it sure does suck sometimes, especially when you're tall and lean and you want to buy clothes. Apparently XXL (in europe) is only for short fat people, thank god for skinny fit..

But I prefer being tall and skinny over short and fat, thats for sure.

I'm 6'4" and weigh around 250.

I've never understood my weight because I don't carry much body fat but I don't look like a linebacker either.

Must have heavy bones or something...

BMI is gender-neutral. Women tend to be near the low to middle, guys in the middle to high since guys are broader and carry more muscle.

So I'm on the verge of being Obese.
5'11" and 210.

BMI is only useful if you aren't lifting weights. If you are, then the increased muscle mass you'll get throws the whole thing off.

I'm 6'0-6'1, and ~150 lbs. Last time I measured myself on an electric scale I was 160, but I've definitely lost weight. And stupid bathroom scales are never accurate. I look very skinny due to very thin and long arms and small wrists/ankles. Have very skinny calfs and somewhat developed legs/core.

In North America I am definitely very thin. Ideally I'd like to add about 20-25 lbs of muscle, but def want to avoid being "skinny-fat". Small bones + fat does not look very good at all.

I'm 6'4", 180-190lbs I think, haven't checked recently though, and can't put on weight to save my life. Soooo, any suggestions on HOW to put on weight. I mean I eat quite a lot, and even during periods of time when I'm not very active I don't gain weight. I'm pretty skinny obviously, and don't particularly like it, but it's not like it's stopped me getting a girl or anything.

Basically, anyone who's had a hard time putting on weight and found a way to make it happen, give me some tips. :P

I'm 6'3" and about 217 and I feel a bit overweight. I'm currently on my own diet/exercise system to try to get down to around 190-195. Not worried about muscle yet, just losing weight. Last summer I was at 240 though, which was the heaviest I've ever been. It served as a good wake-up call though.

Those bmi calculators are bs though. According to that I can go down to like 147 and still be in normal weight range. Wtf.

190 isn't a bad weight at 6'4". If you do want to gain weight, then the answer is to eat more food. Milk, butter, pasta, beef, chicken, tuna, pork, etc. Unless you've got a medical condition, eating more always makes you weigh more.

Personal tips:

Whole milk, lots, every day
Fork held in hand until done eating. Put down the fork, hard to pick it back up.
Eat a big breakfast.
Lots of water.
Eat constantly, and eat big.

If you want to make that weight gain muscle and not fat, then lift some weights.

Jesus H, you people are huge. Had no idea there were so many 6'5"ers on GAF. I mean, I'm pretty tall, but ITT I'm a fucking dwarf.

Damn.

I'm 5' 11" and weigh 190lbs or so.

I have a 44" chest and a 34" waist I also have big fatless thighs naturally. BMI charts are fucking stupid, supposedly I'm 'overweight' but if I lose weight I look underfed.

I don't lift weights at all. :lol
I'm just a ninja and I hide my fatness.

I've eaten more, I still don't put on weight. Pasta, milk, beef, chicken, pork, etc... are all a major part of my diet. Milk especially was during the time I tried eating more. Eventually, I ended up feeling heavy, but I wasn't putting on sustained weight. I'd just weigh more after eating, then go back down. lol

I'm 6" even and weigh 178 lbs. I'm pretty thin aside from a gut. I'd imagine at 6'5" you would want to be at least 220.

I'm 6'5" and I'm at 194 pounds. Funny thing is a lot of it was gained within the last few months of last year. Up until then I had been 173 pounds since highschool. Guess the old high metabolism finally slowed down.

6'5", I rock climb and play basketball and maintain about 180lbs. I'm definitely thin, but not unhealthy. I eat well and put down more food than anyone I know throughout most days. My body just metabolizes it very quickly. My doctor suspected I could have marfan syndrome because of my long appendages and pectus excavatum, but all heart, cartilage, and blood tests were completely normal.

I think most people who are very into fitness will tell you that there is no ideal weight for any height. Strength is function of muscle type and even distribution of muscle, rather than sheer mass, and genetics and diet determine how well your body holds up as you get older.

for awhile i lived in a self refurbished basement and one of the doors was slightly shorter than i am tall, but because it was the only one in the house, i often forgot about it.

I'm 5'6" and weigh 145. I could do well by losing like 10 pounds. Anything more I'd be scrawny and nerd like. As it stands I have a slight gut and my face is puffier than I'd want. That's about it though. I've been as low as 125 in the past couple of years and to be honest, my gut didn't go away, but my face was very thin and I think I lost a lot of muscle mass then.
