The largest forum I know of that through dedicated and active moderation manages to not be a stinking cesspool of human refuse. It has the high levels of activity that always give me something to read well actually offering responses that are (mostly) worth reading.

for years I've been living a double life between two forums. i try to fit in on one, and i try not to fit in on the other. mostly it just makes me hate myself.

NeoGAF.com is the main outlet for my internet addiction. i need constant validation without having to form actual relationships, and the easiest way for me to do that is to be an iconoclast in a huge expanding crowd full of nerds who consider everything they're discussing to be extremely important. it's cheap and easy.

Please don't be so earnest blame space. It upsets me.

NeoGAF is the love of my life. Like the girl that holds every interest, and desire as I. Nothing will ever keep me apart from her, no matter what we go through.. I will always come back because I could never truly be upset with her.

When you found something dear to you, something with many similarities.. Yet so much things you can learn, never expressed interest with, or even something to share between the two. That's when you know you found something special.

That is what NeoGAF is to me.

A social network as much as it is a gaming forum where I can read news about the game industry or some random sap's adventures about finding him/herself in a hilarious predicament that he/she turns to GAF and makes a thread to ask for advice. I initially made an account to talk about games I like. However, I would have never have imagined making friends out of it, hanging out in bars, and organizing meet ups had I not made an account. GAF members that I've met in real aren't my BFF's per say, but they're good people all around. It's become much more than just a popular online message board about video games as a result.

haha I doubt it...I bet we too skim over many posts without bothering to read them closely.

Its just there are so many posts and things to read that its hard to reply to everything..So the average post can get overlooked.

I guess many users experience that too.Even posters who contribute meaningful info.

I guess its part of how large and fast moving everything is.

A terrible place to be if you're a fan a ubisoft games, seriously, half the time I can't even participate in threads or give an opinion with some person getting pissed for no reason. Especially if that thread involves a rockstar game, as if there's some rule that I can't enjoy their games or provide a valid opinion.

Otherwise it's a very nice forum full of great individuals. I don't even visit other sites for gaming news at this point.
