What is the longest you've ever sat and played a game?

I beat Black Ops 3 story in one go last week, that was probably the longest I've gone at once, in a while. It took ALL day. Like, early morning to late late at night. I used to play Test Drive Unlimited for long periods of time years back too.

With Zelda: Majoras Mask a long time ago.

I got it on a friday night and I was not allowed to play.

The next day I played from 8:00 AM to 23:00 PM only pausing to eat, bathroom...

Just a few weeks ago I played Dead State from something like 2pm-4am. No food no bathroom breaks, just full on Korean net-cafe levels of straight binge, it was really weird.

Prior to that it was something like 6-8 hours, playing a game of Civ 5.

Not sure...

The longest binges I remember recently is playing Warfame for 23 hours on PS4.

I'm pretty sure I've played a game longer then that before.

Probably at LANs back in the day with like 30 hours of counter strike. Slept under the table for like 2 hours and back to playing.
When I was 14-16 this was like every weekend for me. We just left ours PCs at a friends house.

The max is probably around 10 hours and that would be mostly from my MMO/Diablo 2 days. Now I usually average about 3-5 hours on games that I really enjoy.

Probably had like a 8-10 hour session playing Mass Effect 3 a few days after it came out. I was racing two friends in who will be the first to see the allegedly shitty ending.

I won. It didn't feel good.

2 days of Destiny straight when it launched, so 48 hours is probably longest I've played without sleeping. Had LAN with friend so it was super fun.
Another really long session was when PS3 got released and friend got it day one we spent the weekend playing on it and messing around with Linux etc.
Most recent I've done is 34 hours of Dark Souls 2 when it launched on PS3.
I only play games I really get hyped for so I usually do long sessions.

World of Warcraft...in the weekend i came home from work went to bed to the early morning sleeping for a few hours and went off to play again the whole day and night and that went on for a few years. But Diablo 3 seasons keeps me busy when the new patch is out and the season starting i go full in every time it comes out.

I beat Bioshock (X360) in a single sitting, started in the morning and ended sometime around near the next morning.

Since then I've never really had more than a 3-4 hour burst of gaming. Usually do bites of an 2 hour or so these days

So far I've had two ridiculously longest game sessions by my standards. I've logged 28 hours in The Last Story as I really wanted to beat it and I thought it was almost ending for the final 5 hours, and ended up beating the whole game in one sitting. The other was Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn which was the first game I played in the series and first SRPG I've ever got into. Turned out it's my favorite genre now and series now, and I've had a couple of 20 hour marathons in Fates so far.

Super Smash Bros Brawl's Subspace Emissary. After seeing the credits, I recall playtime clocking in at around 10 hrs.

I can't recall the exact time length but I'm pretty sure it was a session of Everquest Online Adventures on the PS2. I started playing at some point at night and didn't stop till about 6/7 AM in the morning. Long grind with some guild mates. I still miss that game to this day, it was my first MMO, so many memories.

I'm not sure for me but last year my friend came over to my place and played MGS1 all the way through in one sitting - he had never played an MGS game before at all. Took like 11 hours.

Mass Effect 2 release day.

I took a half day at work and started playing as soon as I arrived home. By the time I started work on Monday I'd completed it.

My playtime was 65 hours. Between my finishing work and it beginning again after the weekend was a total of 69 hours.

I slept for a couple of hours on the Sunday night, but other than toilet breaks I didn't move the entire weekend. The funny thing its the only time I played ME2 yet I think of it as one of my favourite gaming experiences.

Thankfully my body was still young enough and had enough experience with late night weekends that I wasn't totally destroyed. If anything I probably felt better than usual as I hadn't had three hangovers in that time! Things are different nowadays. Work and adult life means that it took over three months to match that same playtime with at the start of DA:I last year.

Can only think of Skyrim, had at least one 12+ hours session shortly after installing it. Loved that game.
Was on holiday break, so it was okay... Mostly.

I'm really not sure what my all-time longest session has been, but I know I've had many in the 8-12 hour range and a few a bit longer than that. It's rare for me to play a game uninterrupted for more than a few hours at a time now, but when I do I always make up for it with some serious biking or hiking the next day.

I once spent about 12 hours a day for 5 days playing Star Wars Galaxies. There was a godly rotation of high stat carnivore meat on Dathomir. I put Rancors on the endangered species list that week and then had enough credits to do whatever I wanted the rest of my time with that game.

However long it takes to finish Until Dawn. I finished the game in one sitting. I literally finished the game at dawn because I started playing at midnight.

Probably 12 hours, though recently I took a week off to play MGSV and I was playing that when I got up till I went to bed so that might have actually been over that.

You people are crazy, I can't do more than like 4 nowadays. Back when I was really young I'm sure I've played stuff with friends for like whole days but probably took breaks at some point

Dark Souls 1 and Mass Effect 2/3

Probably 4-5 hours with small 5 minute breaks interspersed here and there.

I always lose track of time when I'm playing Mass Effect. It's that good.

Heh, my friend and I did that, though I had already beaten it twice prior. It was pretty great because the in-game time was almost perfectly in sync with real time.

Recently I think I played MGSV for about 8 hours straight without a break. Back when Smash Bros Brawl came out three friends and I played it for about 16 hours with only short breaks.

When I was younger I'd go a good weekend where the only reason I stopped was to eat, restroom and sleep. Not even a shower.

Recently (year or so ago) I'd easily pull 10 or so hours in warframe when I was really into it.

Right now I think I just pulled 12 hours on the division. Since I start this job where I get 4 days off...whoo boy it's about to get gud.

These days I always play for 3-4h max (and only if I really love the game)....but I remember one time back when San Andreas came out for the PC, my parents both had night shifts so I was alone. I started playing around 9pm and was planing to play maybe for an hour or two. Little did I know that I was at the "flying school" part of the game. Fast forward hundreds of tries to beat that part I suddenly started hearing birds, that's when I realized that it's 6 am in the morning and that my parents are just about to come home...In short, I played San Andreas for 9h straight.

I think I must have played KH2 for somewhere between 8-12h straight. What I certainly did do was finish it over the course of a weekend, on a single rental.

When Advance Wars 2 Black Hole Rising came out, my parents got it for me to play on our drive home from New York to North Carolina. I think the only time I stopped playing was to switch out batteries. Played for about 12 hours straight.

When I was unemployed I remember a week where for 5 days in a row I played the same game for 12 hours straight.

I think at the end of the week I had put in 76 hours into. Absurd, really. Now I can barely find time to play for 1-2 hours a day, or the motivation to do so after work.

I think mine is recent. For a weekend I had nothing but my PS2 with me. So I just spent a day (not a full one, just like, 12 hours) playing nothing but Yakuza.

The next day was the same but with Yakuza 2.

Normally my play sessions tend to be less than a fraction of that though.

I did a Civilization IV marathon with my old roommate back in 2007 that took at least 30 hours. We had very few breaks and these never lasted longer than 15 minutes. We also didn't plan it. It just happened. Crazy stuff.

These days I can barely play anything for 3 or 4 hours straight.

Most recently, I went to Redbox to pick up Until Dawn on release. Played through the majority of it that day/night. Fun times.
