What is the longest you've ever sat and played a game?

Possibly some of the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance or Champions of Norrath games. Used to run through those games in one night with friends because why not?

Recently I know Crusader Kings II or Destiny sucked some hours out of me but surely nothing over 6 hours.

Might have been GTA V on release day. Can't remember exactly but it was somewhere between 15-20 hours.

Usually I can only play games for an hour or two at a time but this week I have been putting in about 9 hours a day playing The Witcher 3. Finish work at 9AM. Start playing at 10AM up to 7-8PM then go to sleep. Finished it now though and taking a break before starting the expansion.

Yesterday I played Rise of the Tomb Raider for 3 hours and today from 8AM to 5PM.

When Halo 4 came out I played it for 3 days straight stopping only to get more Mt Dew and Doritos or take care of mah bathroom biz. Ordered a couple pizzas too.

It was a legendary play session. Had a blast with old and new friends alike.

The aftermath though... my god why didn't I drink any water...

Probably close to a whole day. That was a decade ago. Today, I can't go more than an hour without a break.

Without any real breaks (5 mins for a quick snack/toilet doesn't count), I'd say 8 hours. Was playing Kingdom Hearts and boy was that game gripping.

Probably something like Secret of Mana or Super Mario RPG on the SNES, I remember playing those games for entire weekends when I was a kid.

36 hours straight to do Donkey Kong 64 100% in one sitting when it first came out.

32 hours for Banjo-Kazooie 100%.

I've done plenty of 24+ with WoW and some other games.

I'm 31 and still can do long binge sessions but they don't often last longer than 12 hours anymore, but that can still happen on days off sometimes. I don't often play games during my workweek so some weekends I'll just decide I'm going to play games and I stick to it.

With a baby, I'm lucky to get one hour of free time to do ANYTHING. I guess I played WoW the most in one sitting though, when I used to be single and living at my parents.

I remember back in the day playing stuff like ff3 or phantasy star for over 12 hours straight easily. Lately I'm crazy lucky to get in a solid 4 hours with anything. Witcher 3 was the last long session.

I think it was around 26 or 27 hours back in vanilla wow, trying for na first naxx kelthuzad kill. We didn't make it and it took me days to recover. I was in my 20s then, no way I could do that now.

World of Warcraft would be a good second indeed... Three of my mates would bring their computers to my house and would party up with me and my roommate and level like mad. It still sort of reminds me of that South Park episode...

I did a crazy 72 hour sitting of EverQuest with a bunch of friends in the same room back in the day. We even had a couple of GMs come say hi because they caught wind of our antics.

Good times.

FFXI for 16 hours everyday for 4 months
I was running away from reality after worst breakup/shock of my life.

I was forced to stop because I burnt through all my savings and had to go out to find another job.

I'm sure I sat for hours with Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer back in the day.

But recently I'd say The Last of Us, did not stop playing for 7 hours straight because I was too gripped onto the story.

Finished TLOU, Halo 5, MW2 campaign on one sitting. btw I am talking about 3 different sittings lol

So about 6-7hr? Medium difficulty. Little longer for TLOU I think.

Draw between Trine 1 for 15 hours straight couch coop or Dead Nation for a series of 8-10 hour stretches with breaks in between for the first few days..managed to be top of UK leaderboards for a few days...worth it

I can only play games for 2 hours at a time before I have a break, the only exception was Kotor. I played it for at least 8 or 9 hours on launch day.

So about 6-7hr? Medium difficulty. Little longer for TLOU I think.

TLOU is a 15 hour game man! Ye may want to revise that number upwards a fair bit!

Wanting to get server fists on various beginning raids in Wrath of the Lich King, most of the guild's core raiding group were up for two and a half to three days getting to the level cap. We ended up getting server firsts on every raid available at launch. So I guess it was worth it? I've been clean from WoW for six years and I look back on some of those playing sessions and wonder how I did that.

I got sick after that, there's only so many 5 hour energies your body can take.

edit: Yesterday a friend and I played Division together from 8am until 1am so that's pretty long. Luckily the wife brought me food and drink.

World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade launch I played for about 18 hours with stops for food and the bathroom. Those were rookie numbers compared to some of the people in my guild, though.

A long time ago. Either Runescape or crappy Naruto games on BYOND. I use to sit down for 12+ hours straight only getting up for food and bathroom breaks.

Now I try to limit gaming sessions to two hours max before taking a decent length break.

Maybe.......six hours per session and spending over 6 days playing through Persona 4 Golden on my Vita. Loved that game so much that I kept replaying it over and over....until I clocked in 200+ hours on one of my save files XD!

Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. I expend full weekends passing those games, just standing up to pee and grab some food from the fridge.

I worked out one time that I friend of mine spent half his waking life for 6 months straight playing Destiny.

He had a full time job at the time.

Me, probably like 8 hours or something when I was a kid, most likely FF7 or OoT.

around 48 hours when burning crusade came out for world of warcraft went from 60-68 only got up for food and bathroom but no sleep and powered through that was my longest session without sleep

When phantasy star came out on the gamecube i bought the broadband adapter and spent my whole summer vacation playing. from the second i woke up till i went to bed i'd be infront of that 13" tv

It was the first online game i ever played and it blew my mind.

Several years ago I started replaying Final Fantasy Tactics and I got so hooked on it again it turned into some crazy all-night binge. It was at least 12 hours and maybe even closer to 24. The whole thing is kind of a blur.

CS 1.6 lan with my friends during winter break. Played all day untill 9 am the next day, went home to sleep then back at it around 6 pm. That went on for several days, im too old now for that kind of stuff but its some of my best gaming memories.

Some 16 hour WoW sessions here and there.

My third playthrough of FFIX after several years clocked in at around 11 hours

19 hours straight on GTA4 and Soul Calibur 4 I think when I was watching the clock. Probably more around pokemon x/y and Monster Hunter 4U with breaks to go eat with friends.

I don't usually play much, but at launch for very select games I can put in the time.

I think I did 13 hours on Twilight Princess HD the other day.

For Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and Link Between Worlds I did 36 hours over three days. Spending pretty much every waking moment playing.

I don't recall the longest ever but the longest most recent was on Mario Maker. Started around 10pm and the next time I looked at the clock it was 5:30 in the morning. Didn't even feel like that much time had passed.

Back when Halo 2 online multiplayer was at its peak my cousin and I started playing around 5 or 6 that evening. I quit playing around midnight and he stayed up. I woke up the next morning to go to work at 8 and he was still playing.

When I got off work around 5 that day, I went back to our apartment and walked into the living room where he was still playing. He even admitted he had been playing the whole time. He quit shortly after that and slept until the next day around 1 or 2.

I think I played Rugrats: Royal Ransom like 6 hours straight to completion when I was like 7 since then I think I also played Persona 4 a similar amount one night over summer break.

I played through the first 3 Onimusha games in one sitting each, tried to keep up the "tradition" I started with the first one.
The first two games weren't hard as they were pretty short, but the third one was tough since it was a lot longer - I started in the morning around 9 or 10 and credits rolled around 2 am if I remember correctly. Took breaks to pee and eat a snack here and there though.
