what is the ugliest car currently in production?

The Honda Civic Hatch

It probably isn't the absolute ugliest out there, especially after seeing some of those listed in this thread. However when you look at how significantly the design has gone backwards I feel it is definitely worth the mention.

This is the Generation 8 which I absolutely love the aesthetics of (nolonger in production):

This is the Generation 9 (currently in production) which I hate - especially the rear:
Every time I drive behind one of these it makes me angry >:-(

Not the worst in my eyes, but the Crosstour and the Fit, two of Honda's most versatile models in terms of their ability to tote both stuff and people in a regular car, both really miss the mark on design for me.

I would say there's a chance the Fit could be my next car, but its appearance, with that annoying little front-corner window, is a strike against it in my book.

how can you complain about an extra window? it's awesome.

I happen to really like the Cube, they look naff in standard form, but put some 13" deep dish rims on them and they look pretty good in an interesting oddity kind of way.

lol what?
Worlds best truck is available in australia. the toyota hilux.
mericans are just jelly that Toyota doesn't sell it in the US.

They dont sell it in Merica because the engine isnt ridiculously large and yet some how underpowered.

Americans love a big truck with equally big engine producing little power and interior finished in that plastic shit you get in chocolate boxes.

until this day i thought that the Honda civic generation 9 would be gen 8 and vice versa, gen 8 looks like a refined design of gen 9.

EVERY goddamn time I see that car, I want to destroy it. It's driven by people who don't like to drive. It's ugly, slow and cheaply made. It's a renault in drag.

Top gear UK has the Morris Marina... this car would be my equivalent.

No. The Reliant Robin is mocked pretty extensively in Mr. Bean.

Then I need to watch some Mr. Bean, because I do not remember the RR.

Here is a pic of an ugly car. I cannot get used to this design no matter how much I see it.

Also I really dislike the mini variations. Like the Clubman, Coupé and Countryman.

The thing I hate most about newer cars is that not only do most of them look bland and boring and designed in a meeting room, they're all converging toward this ugly bubble-shaped "futuristic" look as well where apparently having an actual hood/engine bay and trunk on your car is bad. It's like every auto manufacturer is trying to turn their entire vehicle lineup into a Prius.

For example, look at the Honda Civic.

This is the 6th gen civic, which in my opinion is the best looking one.

Yeah, it's obviously an economy car, and yeah, this is the most-often-riced one, but it actually looks like a car.

This is the 7th gen civic.

Sure, the aesthetics are a bit more conservative and it definitely looks a lot less aggressive and a lot more like an economy car, but it still looks like a normal car.

Then came the 8th gen civic.

Ugh.
Look at how.... bubble-shaped it is. The angle between the hood and the A-pillar is so shallow that it's almost like they wanted it to be one continuous line, and the trunk is tiny. It looks more like some sort of ugly futuristic concept vehicle than an actual car, and unfortunately Honda isn't the only manufacturer doing it. Not to mention that the entire front end is flat out ugly.
A huuuuuuuge step backwards in terms of design.
(Well, I guess it's not technically backwards because that would have been like, 80s-ish boxy styling, but this is certainly a step in the complete wrong direction.)

The Acura TL also took a huge step in the wrong direction as well.

When the third gen came out, it was a legitimately nice looking car. The aesthetics might be a bit dated now, but it actually looked like a legitimate luxury car at the time.

Then it turned into this.

Guess I'll throw this in as well. It's not the ugliest by any means, but compared to how it was supposed to look, it might as well be! From 21st century design to a 90's Japanese sports car look.

Funny enough, the Aztec was designed by the same man (Tom Peters) that oversaw the team that designed this:
