So I have a galaxy s8 and usually have a screen protector. Sod's law that I haven't had one as I wait for a replacement. Drop it once and now have a crack on the bottom right.

Phones are too fragile! Have you got a cracked screen?

I have a 1plus 5t and I drop that phone all the time and no cracks or scratches (it has scratches on the case). I love 1 plus phones.

I have a Samsung galaxy S8 with no cracks or damage to my screen or the phone in general.

I learnt my lesson with a previous phone, I had no case on it no screen protector no nothing, it slipped from my hand and smash the panel for the phone, not the glass on the front, the actual panel which meant it was useless when this happened.

Then with my next phone, I looked after it got a glass screen protector the works, and when I was done with it, it was in near perfect condition.

Moral of the story, look after your phone. :messenger_beaming:

Galaxy Note 9, have had a few nasty drops with tempered glass and no damage to the phone.

I just went back to clear film screen protectors because the glass ones seem to have a lot of issues with the curved screen. No problems yet.

Those long posts don't cover that red neck boy
Wileyfox Spark+. No broken screens. Just a few small side dents, very minor. I have a leather packet where i put it in.

Never broke a phone, not this one nor my previous phone. That thing still looks as new. I took good care of it and of my current one.

My impression is that you are too inconsiderate with it. Although some phones have a bigger tendency to break than others. Then again, i don't use expensive phones.

Galaxy S8 with a case and a cheap screen protector.
Have dropped it a bunch of times and so far no damage. At first I didn't want to get a screen protector because from my experience a good case is enough, but the screen kept getting small scratches from just being in my pocket (someday gorilla glass will actually be worthy of the name) so I got a cheap one.

Huawei mate 9. Phone been going so well no need to upgrade yet. Just use a screen protector.

I'm interested to see how the new folding phones go next year though. If price isn't to crazy may upgrade.

Note 8. No marks or scratches since launch. Dropped it a few times so I’m quite fortunate. My previous phone, Nexus 9 I think it was called. That was falling apart, the screen literally pulling away from the board. Htc phone before that, multiple breaks during the 2 years I had it.

HTC Envy... No idea why they would name it Envy of all things, its a POS. It's like 5 years old too. I don't need a new phone.

HTC Vive, in pristine condition.

Here's the trick: Never use your phone. The only thing I do on my phone is the occasional texting; though I use it mostly for GPS, during which it sits still on the seat of my car.

Anything that will break your screen will break it just fine through 99% of the screen protectors out there. Only phone I have ever broken a screen on got stomped on. :) What you do need is a case that protects the corners and makes the phone itself more rigid.

iPhone XS. Have a glass screen protector and a TPU case on it. Feels great, looks great, and can deal with small drops just fine :). Otherwise it has AppleCare+ on it.

I have an iphone 7. Dropped it a few times but not from a great distance onto a hard surface, so no cracked screen. I once had a Nexus 4 and I gave it to my toddler so that she might stop having a tantrum out in public. She threw it onto the ground and smashed the shit out of it. Showed me good.

Gotta buy her the NoPhone.

I have a Note 9, with the Official Note 9 led flip case which flliped open the 1 time I dropped my phone, and it fell face first, slid on tiny pebbles, and got 4 Niiccce scratches across the screen :-/

My fantasy is that my girlfriend was actually a young high school girl.
I have a cheap phone, fortunately despite dropping it many times the screen has not cracked. I have a flimsy case as there are not many cases available for my phone.

Galaxy S8, bought near launch. Always have a case on it, and had a screen protector on it. 5 months ago it fell 1.5 feet from my lap and the curved part of the screen hit the base of the chair that I was sitting in. First cracked phone screen for me in ages! Gorilla Glass my ass. It has soured me on curved screens, they are too fragile.

Nexus 6P user here.

On my second AMOLED screen, due to burn in from first one. Never had any bootloader concerns, but did replace battery as well. Phone is rock solid otherwise, and the headphone jack owns all y'all Bluetooth suckaz.

iPhone 7 Plus. It’s never not had a case and screen protector, it’s in perfect condition. Respect to the people that go unprotected, but I like to be able to flip my phone when I upgrade.

This thread is timely! I have had an iPhone ever since the original, I go no case no screen protector and have had one screen break on me because my phone vibrated off a table and onto tile. Then on Saturday I had my second one break the same way. Then my wife, who got her phone earlier that day dropped hers and hers broke. We broke two Xs’s on the same day, her within hours of owning it. Then later on that night our daughter had a fever. Saturday sucked.

At least we have apple care so it’s like 30 bucks to fix. Still not putting a case on it.

My S8+ got a random crack on the top right corner from something probably banging into my pocket while it was in there, and then a month later I dropped it without a case while I was trying to corral my asshole puppy in the parking lot.

I generally take good care of my phones though, after some growing pains with the old school iPhones. I just bought an Essential PH-1, and while the thing is built like a tank I'm still keeping it in a case and protected at all times. Cracks in the screen drive me up a wall.

Galaxy S7. No screen protector, no screen damage. I just got a regular cheap ass case and it's done it's job well the last two years...

Note 9, dropped it a whole bunch of times off my bed. Small 2 or 3 mm scratch near the top. Not visibil unless held under the light.

S9 no protector, and 6S with no protector.

Dropped maybe 1 time in total and never stratched that shit

Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
I've never cracked a phone screen. I don't know how so many phones end up cracked. When people say they "dropped" their phones do they mean they hit them with a hammer?

I have the iPhone XS too and I agree with this SO MUCH! Even though it's a pretty tough phone, I still have glass screen protector put in it just to be sure. I'm also enjoying it very much and its features. The only thing I kinda hated about it is its weight. Coming from iPhone 5s, iPhone XS feels like carrying a brick.:messenger_tears_of_joy: It makes my old phone feel like cotton. Hahahahahaha!

I have yet to try its AR capabilities though, and using it with a VR headset. Have you? How was it?

iPhone XS Max, full leather cover. Impressed with the phone so far and much prefer Face ID. I spend far too much on gaming and phones...

Yeah my wife hates the weight and wishes she had a lighter alternative. I don’t know what apple was thinking with the all glass body. Was anyone asking for it? They need to put the XI on a diet next year

I've got the LG V30 (Android), and so far I have no visible wear and tear on the phone at all. I keep a screen protector on though, just in case.

I have 5 iPhone. I think this is one of the most reliable phones. I own it for more than two years. During this time, he fell many times. And there was not a single crack. But recently I went to the hospital and dropped it on the tile floor. It could not stand it anymore .. There was a small crack! What floors in hospitals ??

Look I don’t know what kind of backwards place you are from but phones are for texting, porn, online hookups and useless web browsing. You probably still call people😂😂
