After a long hiatus from online gaming, I am thinking of picking up a multiplayer shooter this fall for my PS4. I recently played the Star Wars Battlefront beta and enjoyed myself. Black Ops 3 is also coming out soon and Destiny seems to still be going strong, with many people saying it's better than ever with the recent expansion.



So, GAF, what PS4 online shooter are you planning to play this fall and why?

Same one I played the past year. Destiny. Black OPS III looks interesting, but I'm waiting to see impressions of the story and Zombies mode before I buy it.

Probably Battlefront because it's so casual. I'm terrible at the more twitchy games like CoD.

COD BO3. I thoroughly enjoyed the beta. Good job on getting me back on board again Treyarch. Might get Halo 5 too, but probably gonna wait for price drop.

BO3 and Battlefront, but I feel like BO3 is gonna played more for me.

And if you count Fallout 4 as a "shooter," tack that on as well.

But I strongly suspect that come Nov 10, I won't play anything but Fallout 4 for a while.

Black Ops III beta didn't grab me...CoD's just getting too fast for me. On the other hand, I loved the Battlefront beta...and Destiny's had it's hooks in me since launch.

Black Ops III. I am a little worried I'll get burnt out though because Treyarch games focus so much on small maps and I got over the beta way faster than I was expecting.

I'll probably switch to MGO if that happens.

Burned out on Destiny again, so Black Ops 3/Battlefront it is.

Respective betas sold me on the competitive sides, and I'm psyched for the co-op elements both games are bringing. Splitscreen is back!

Rainbow 6 was disappointing top to bottom.

After the beta my friends and I decided that Battlefront will be our fall/winter shooter.

But I'm expecting some of them to go back to Destiny. It truly is the WoW of shooters.

Didn't really enjoy battlefront and bo3 betas unfortunately.
I have BF4 premium from a sale, maybe I'll give that a shot. And there is always Garden Warfare, it's still very enjoyable.

That being said, I will not be playing any shooters on my ps4 this fall. I'll just be playing the bloodborne expansion
