What rare gaming item do you wish you owned?

I've always wanted a Game Boy Light, but I can never find one for a reasonable price.

Seems like we get this thread every few months.

Anything rare and Zelda related that I don't already have... I wish I owned.

I wish I never sold my OG Wii, they're rare as rocking house shit nowadays. The new ones aren't BC, and am I right in thinking you can't even get online with them?

I had all the Mario's, OG 1, 2 + 3, All Stars, World, 64, Sunshine and Galaxy 1&2. Zelda OOT, MM & TP, S&P2, Boom Blox, Resi 4, REmake, Zack & Wiki, Viewtiful Joe 1&2, Okami, etc.

So basically some of the best games ever. And I gave it all up. For a couple of hundred pounds credit.

Can't :( hard enough.

I've always wanted the first (known) interactive electronic game.

The "Cathode Ray Tube Amusement Device" as created by Thomas T. Goldsmith, Jr. in 1947.

If anyone sees a boxed one on eBay, let me know, okay?

Perhaps a tad too rare...

Heh I didn't know Zelda OoT v1.0 grey cart was rare, that's the one I have. I actually received two of them at launch due to an error on part of ebgames.com, and I sold the second one in the first week (nobody knew there was different versions besides gold and grey at the time).

I've always wanted this. In fact I want every version of every Nintendo handheld, including Game & Watch. Mad nostalgia points in by them.

I want:

CIB Earthbound
Panasonic Q (was so close to buying one way back)

Many other rare and hard to get games.

I remember getting Earthbound when it originally came out and being frustrated that the box didn't open easily (like a simple flap or something). I pretty much ruined the packaging trying to open the damn thing with scissors, should have used a box cutter but I was 14 so what did I care or know?

The models used for the original Starfox cover. I want them stood either side of my TV :D

I've always wondered what happened to them. I hope they weren't destroyed.

The grey v1.0 are quite rare. If they're in excellent condition, I'll actually buy one off you...

Gold cartridges are going for about $30-40 on eBay.

v1.0 has the mirror shield with the moon on it, right? I think I may have that copy, but I'm not sure. I haven't played my N64 cart since about 2008.

hmmm... well, still looking for these:

I've got that exact model... you're right, you do want one... but the pricing is supply and demand (mine cost $100 NiB 8 years ago)...

Wow, found an interesting gallery of Playstation concept images... including that high res image above.

Wow thanks for the link. Some of the ergonomics on those prototype pads look like they could cripple you or be used as an offenive weapon.

Speaking of rare items and Sony I always wanted a Net Yaroze.

They were around £600 and rare as you like. Still got the 1st demo disc with my PlayStation that gave a teaser into its development tools.

Korean CE for Gungrave (can't even find a picture of it, but it came with cards!)

The official Gungrave airsoft guns.

And the Zangief Popcultureshock statue that was 375 initially and now goes for close to a G.

Complete Game and Watch collection mint in box.
That's God-tier stuff.

LOL... that's a whole lot of work to add some fins and extra L and R buttons to a SNES pad.

Nintendo introduced Sony to the gaming market. Originally they were going to release the first CD-console. Then Nintendo went with Phillips instead. Quite a big mistake.

No, actually .Sony wanted some very ridiculous percentages and royalties, basically they'd had made Nintendo their first party once it was said and done. Nintendo obviously bulked at giving up copyrights and huge percentages of profit so the deal fell through, Sony decided to go it alone and the rest is history.

And i'd love to get my hands on the prototype M2, the 3DO successor. That Next Gen article had me SO excited.

Finally picked up Cosmic Smash for the DC but I still want the space channel 5 part 2 and segagaga special editions:

Yeah, and the Islamic chanting + glitches galore.

I pulled my N64 out along with OoT and found that all I had was the un-altered Mirror Shield. The chanting is missing from the Fire Temple.

I WAS SO CLOSE TO BEING RELEVANT. D;

I had the OOT version with the Fire Temple chanting. But sold it in a bundle years ago, because I didn't know it was rare :/

I didn't even know the chanting was removed until a few months ago. It's a shame because it sounded awesome.

I own a couple of things. Not rare but harder to find.

Virtual Boy with box and instructions
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Xenoblade Chronicles unopened
NES toploader
GameCube component cables
Zelda:TOOT grey cart 1.0 (I didn't even know was rare until this thread)
Sega Nomad
Sega HD Genesis/32x/model 2 Sega CD combo + extension plate to accommodate the larger HD Genesis
Lunar: silver Star Sega CD

Right now, id love to find a decently price Earthbound and Zombie Nation.
