Magic wallet. Pretty thin, can hold my bills and a decent amount of cards.

Plus you can amaze people with the crappy trick you can do with it lol

I had a standard wallet for awhile but have been using this (in brown leather) since Christmas:

Going to replace the Coach card case with something else though.

Unfortunately it seems to really fuck with my cards despite always being in my front pocket. Oddly enough, they seem to get more damage there then when sitting on them. May go back to a regular wallet.

A thick-assed hunk of folded black leather that I bought from a Renaissance fair several years ago. There's nothing Renaissance-y about it. This guy was just a leather maker that dabbled in ren fest-related stuff when the fair came to town every year. It's way too thick for my liking but it's incredibly well made and I've grown rather fond of it. Still has some of that awesome "new leather" smell.

Only wallets I've ever bought have been cheap $10 or less faux-leather bi-folds. Now I have a decent probably-still-faux-leather-I-don't-know bifold. A Dockers one. Received it as a gift 4ish years ago and won't get a new one unless it wears out or I by chance receive a better one as a gift.

Found via Googling I like it, looks and feels premium (looks better in person than the Amazon pics). Has plenty of space, which I like. More than zero people have complimented it, so it's got my older cheapo wallets beat :)

I have an Elephant Branded wallet. It's made from recycled cement bags, is manufactured in some Fair Trade-style arrangement in Cambodia and funded a stationery set for a kid in south-east Asia.

A Piece of shit Vinyl one that broken every where LOL. It's warm and comfy in my butt. I wish I had something pimpastic like Gator skin or something like that.

I use my phones case and stick a few cards and a note in there these days but when I need a full wallet I have this.

have a fossil wallet nearly exactly like this one minus the chrome "fossil" branding. Mine is stamped into the material

have had the same wallet I think for a good 6-7 years now.

I don't have a brand; I bought mine for very cheap off a street vendor in Russia in 2001. It's a bi-fold, black leather, and it's still holding up. I don't think I will be giving it up too soon, I've grown attached to it.

I've been using this one which I made by myself for awhile now. It's more like a purse than a wallet I guess. Good if you use coins like me though.

Funny enough, mine has been working great though the seam on my binding has broken. I like it well enough, but I'll probably be upgrading this card case at the end of the year. I normally use it when I don't have a ton of cash (90% of the time) and mostly carry my credit/debit cards, chevron card, ID & transit card (Clipper).

Been eying one of the Paul Smith card cases (most likely going with the signature stripe version) as my replacement for the Coach one.

only thing i don't like is if i get any dirt in it it'll scratch the hell outta my cards, and i got a lot of dirt in it at work so i eventually just left it behind.

Yeah I use one like this. I like the taller ones, with the normal ones some GBP notes don't fit properly. Material is bog standard black leather. Bought it for 7 quid.

I've had this one for about 8 years now:

It was a birthday present from relatives in Arizona when we visited back in '05. Still structurally sound, if looking a bit ragged.

Brown leather Castelijns & Beerens wallet. It's sturdy, not too big, has alot of card space and slides into a pocket easily. Don't know if they sell outside of the Netherlands.

Got a fancy smancy Cartier wallet as a gift. Almost threw it on ebay but I realized I'm not dying for money anymore and should stop thinking the way I did in my 20's.

I also have a couple others that I don't use. The top one is a basic leather one from Walmart, which was purchased when my other one temporarily went MIA. The bottom one was a gift and is apparently made of elephant leather.

A bi fold black leather one I've had for... At least 8 years. Basically since I started carrying money. It's too thick and annoying in my pockets, plus it's falling apart. So I need a new one.

Are those magic wallets or whatever good?

I really like the magic wallets but don't like the idea of having to unfold my money when paying for something. I really want a dosh wallet.who here has experience with them

Some cheap leather (or fake leather) wallet i got a walmart for like $5.

I don't need something fancy to hold my debit card and license.

A driver's license, a card or two, and a folded back-up twenty dollar bill appears to be all I need:

It slides quite nicely into the breast pocket of a suit jacket and keeps smooth the lines on one's pants.. for what it's worth, then, these sorts of wallets have my advocacy!

My wife bought me a Coach wallet, an upgrade from a chained Hot Topic piece.

Coach is nice.
My wife bought me one too, lasted ten years. There was a little plastic window where my license went behind and it cracked and fell out. Awesome wallet though.

This time I went with a black bifold from Saddleback Leather. Love the thing and if I don't lose it I suspect I'll be buried with.

Does anybody carry a fake mugger's wallet in case of being accosted? I've always wanted to make one (not get robbed). Some cash, old ID card, expired credit card, etc.

Unless you live in some crime infested post apocalyptic hellhole filled with roving bands of killers and mutated eye socket raping death priests (or if you live in Detroit) you really don't need to do this. Chances are low it will ever be anything more than an extra pain in the ass for you to carry around. And regardless, it encourages you to treat life from the perspective of a scared little child every time you walk out the door.
