Whatcha Been Playin'?: Bioshock week-end edition

bioshockpc.jpg

I'm about 6 hours in and it just keeps getting better. Probably one of the best games I've played in years.

It's Harvest Moon. And a dungeon crawler. I've only played a little bit, but it is a pretty complete package.

Shock of Bio
Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat
Super Metroid
Space Giraffe

I'll probably pick up Jeanne D'Arc after work today.

Bioshock's the big daddy. If I need a change of pace...
RE4:Wii's got my back. I'm playing this game for the first time and rather enjoying it.
Picross is still proving to be one of the best values for my money in a long time.
Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars when I'm riding the bus.

Bioshock - Also taking it slowly like VALIS.
Geometry Wars - Actually been playing it more than Bioshock since I got my 360 two days ago.
Counter-Strike: Source - GAF CS:S Fridays!

360 -

COD4 Beta
Bioshock
Madden 08

Wii -

Super Metroid

X360-
Dead Rising
Live Arcade Bomberman
Just Cause
Obvilion
the fantastic skate. demo

(finishing stuff off before September releases)

DS-
Pokemon Diamond

Probably play on the WiiVC on Sunday.

Bioshock (360), Persona 3, and a little bit of Super Metroid (wish I had more time for it). Best week for gaming so far this year.

About to start Bioshock tonight.

World of Warcraft - BE pally up to lvl 23!

Metroid Prime. Uno.

Gonna start Super Paper Mario when Gamefly sends the fucker.

Bioshock, what else would I possibly be playing?!

I suppose the only issue right now is daylight. I'm just working my way into Fort Frollic and there's no way I want to spoil the experience during the day. So, yeah, that kind of limits my playtime.

Persona 3 and Bioshock for me, though I'm focussing more on Persona 3 right now, so I can devote most of my energies to Bioshock when done.

Trying to play Bioshock, but something seems to interrupt me every day (tripped the breaker while I was playing at night, the damn game is scary enough as it is without the room going pitch black on me). Also, Super Metroid, my favorite SNES game of all time. Didn't mind buying it again at all. In fact, I'd buy it a few more times if I had to, it's just so damn good.

I'm playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Persona 3, Super Metroid on VC, and Tales of Eternia (PSP). Soon I'll be playing Bioshock, Metroid Prime 3 and Gyakuten Saiban 3.

Probably gonna replay Bioshock if I'm bored, maybe a little FF12 depending on where I end up this weekend

Company of Heroes and CSS will stay in rotation
and i'll try to get some Planescape in as well

Okay, I hope anyone reads this, as I think this is the best topic to ask in..

Which version is recommended for Bioshock, Steam or retail? Because I just saw Bioshock today in the shop (sorry, I don't go to gameshops that often... so it was a surprise for me to see the actual box) and both the metal box version and normal box version are €45. I thought the metal box was a limited edition, more expensive version?

Anyway, I had to hesitate for quite a while and in the end I walked away without buying it, because I think an always-keep-your-games Steam system seems more my thing and I wouldn't use the box anyway. However, the Steam version would probably end up being more expensive with the Euro tax added to the original price.

Hope anyone can give some kind of advice or share a personal experience or... whatever can help my decision.

Our Metroid Prime 3 review copy has arrived so my and a friend are definitely going to play this tonight.

Tomorrow, my gf is going out so I'll play some Bioshock and/or WoW.

And while in the bus, I have Phoenix Wright 3 and Jeanne d'Arc to keep me entertained.

been playing the shit out of persona 3 (16 hours played in 3 days) and i don't see myself playing anything else for a while

- Bioshock
- Project Sylpheed
- Tenchu Z (barf this games bad)
- Probably wind up buying Space Giraffe tonight

I finished Bioshock on Wednesday and am starting to play the COD4 beta. Bioshock = GOTC. COD4 = Meh.

I bought Persona 3 the other day, but haven't touched it yet. Artbook is pretty rad, though.
