currently:

Xenogears
Right now I'm in the sewers just grinding away since most of my party is a bit underleveled and i hear the next boss is a pain in the ass.

Demon's Souls
Getting my body ready for Dark Souls. Doing a female thief run and i've just beaten the Tower Knight.

Final Fantasy VIII- Starting to feel the challenge of my high level playthrough. Gotta be my eight time through the game at least and I am still finding new stuff. Playing this one as slowly as possible just having fun.

Deus EX: HR- Not really enjoying myself tbh. Been stuck on the first mission for days now. Wondering if I should restart on a lower difficulty than normal. Seems no matter what I do I always get spotted/slaughtered.

Xenoblade- It's Reyn time! Wow, this one really was as good as everyone said. Restarted after five hours in when I realized how much stuff I missed. Also the battle system is so much fun. Bringing back memories of FF XI and stuff like SATA (Sneak Attack Trick Attack).

L.A. Noire (PS3) - Finished it. Overall it was enjoyable. You could pretty much tell most of the resources went. If it wasn't for the striking attention to detail and presentation it would be a fairly average experience.

4IysM.jpg

inFAMOUS 2 (PS3) - Had a blast with the first one last year. Can't wait to get into this.

Oblivion (PC)

Fallout 3 (PC)

Mirror's Edge (PC) - Hell of a lot better than I expected it to be. Shame there's no sequel on the horizon. And when it comes, it will probably place more emphasis on gunplay :/

Garry's Mod (PC) - If this even counts as a game.

Moonbase Alpha (PC) - Thanks to the awesome online community, basically unplayable. Not that there is much to it anyway.

Torchlight (PC)

Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon - finished second (Gaiden) playthrough on Normal

Wario Ware (GBA) - finished unlocking everything (getting medals in every micro game was extremely tedious), only left getting 100 score on the jumping rope mini-game.

Finished today.

Now the bad news:

Dark Souls PS3 will arrive same time at Forza 4 =(

And BF3 PS3 will arrive almost same time that UC3 =(

I sure could use one them now...

Playing through Butcher Bay.
Enjoy it, I played through BB for the first time a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it, save for a few insanely frustrating parts. Still can't wait to try out Athena.

I gave Zelda: Twilight Princess a replay in anticipation of Skyward Sword. First time playing it since the Wii launch. Even though I did a 3 heart run this time, it was still pretty easy. I also noticed there was a lot more foreshadowing of
Gannondorf being the main villain and Midna destroying the Twilight Mirror
than I noticed on my first time through. I enjoyed it quite a bit, even if it is my least favorite 3D Zelda.

Since the Wii was hooked up, I also did a playthrough of Super Metroid on the VC. Finished it up late last night with a 72% completion rate.

I have a road trip coming up soon so I might work on finishing Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, and I plan on continuing Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers later today (first playthroughs for both).

Xenoblade - Awesome. I don't even like JRPGs, and I'm hooked.
Dead Island - Only playing to co-op with my brother. It reminds me of Borderlands, and I didn't care much for that.
Driver SF - Still playing this. Still raging at certain side missions.
El Shaddai

Guys, I think this game is really boring and more repetitive than Dynasty Warriors.

Probably going to co-op Gears 3 with my brother soon

Working my way through the PoP Trilogy on PS3 at the moment. Currently finishing up the trophies for WW and kind of feel bad I didn't give it a fair shake when it came out originally. It's a much better game than it gets credit for. Playing it back to back with SoT only makes it more evident. My only complaint is that the connection of areas is a little confusing, and the map doesn't help at all with that. It has one of the most useless maps I've ever seen. Oh, and the difficulty trophies don't stack :(.

At my parents' house for the weekend.

So, Diablo II on the laptop and a lot of Plants vs. Zombies on iPhone.

Can't wait to get back to RE4 HD and Gears 3.

Punch-out!!

Finally picked it up as Nintendo Select on an Amazon sale.

Doing some traveling on Sunday so I'll be playing some Radiant Historia as well.

Wading out in the kiddie pool of strategy games compared to anything Paradox, but enjoying myself none the less.

Just one more leader to go and I've completed the game with every Civ. Then I just need to tack Immortal and Deity before moving on to the scenarios and maybe try out a mod or two.

Xenoblade Chronicles: 89 hours in. god damn best game ive played since demon souls
Dragon Quest Monster Joker 2: just started no opinion yet
Dues Ex Human rev: played a little put it on hold till i finish Xenoblade.... but dunno when ill get around to it due to Dark souls coming out soon

Got home from work at 6, took a nap... now for a shower before I start Bioshock 2 Minerva's Den.

It's been in my wanted list for a few months - then I realized I apparently had bought it one night while I was either drunk or stoned. Damn xbox marketplace and 2 click buying.

999 - Just finished the last ending, not normally my type of game but it was interesting and very painless so I enjoyed it a lot in the end. Dear lord does it need better puzzle to story balance, though.

Xenoblade - Just stopped recently, really enjoyed it at first but after awhile I was just getting annoyed. Solid mechanics, interesting design but the terrible game balance just turns it into a glorified story rollercoaster and I wasn't really into it.

A sequel with a difficulty slider, fewer but improved sidequests, far better itemization and just a little more to it's mostly empty world would be a tremendous thing.

Ghost Trick - Just started after 999, going on adventure game kick, I suppose. Puzzles are a little simplistic and annoyingly temperamental in spots but the concept is cool and I'm enjoying it. Great style and animation.

Playing this again. Not sure how many time I have finished it.

Kinda addicted to this at the moment.

And of course this.

Been terrible this week with just concentrating on a couple things, been randomly hoping from game to game to game. But Fallout: New Vegas - Lonesome Road (PC) and Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten (PS3) have received the most attention. Enjoyed / enjoying both quite a bit. Completing LR has made me want to start a new character with some mods and different choices, but I'll hold off for now. Also been playing Darksiders, Red Orchestra 2, Rusty Hearts, Hard Reset ... ugh, I need to be better at focusing.

Final Fantasy XIII(PS3) - Started playing again after taking a long break. Still enjoyable and hopefully my attention won't be pulled away again. Though this gets played the least compared to the handheld games since I usually play those before heading to bed or on my lunch break at work.

Dragon Quest IX(DS) - Finally got those damn
fyggs
. Now I can move on with the rest of the game. That was a bad part of the game for me. I stopped playing for a while because of this section of the game. Glad it's over though. Outside that I have been enjoying the game.

Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars(3DS) - Still playing through this. Been taking this slow. Like a mission a night or every three days. Still good and glad I got it.

I really want to finish the last two up and soon as I have Solatorobo coming but that might stay in the box until then. If I open it I know the above two won't be finished. Hand held gaming is really working for me a LOT more then console gaming lately.

TF2 - as usual. been playing some pugs and selling hats.

DEHR - Finally beat this game. Skipped quite a bit of the side missions and really just rushed through it. Found the game to be a huge bore and not nearly as interesting as the original DE. Could have held off on purchasing this but whatever.

The Witcher 2 - I have a computer that can max this game out in every way except ubersampling. I'm getting super slick frame rate atm but with uber on it's around the low 20s. I like it high so I'm playing it with it off. Game is very fun and I'm already hooked after just 2 hours.

Since Blizzard hasn't seen fit to send me an invitation into the Diablo 3 beta as of yet, I'm not playing anything, as usual.

But, my brother did pick up Kirby Mass Attack today, so I may give it a try when he isn't playing it.

TnJih.jpg

Valkyria Chronicles III - muddling through it since I can't read Japanese. My guides run out soon, too, so I'll be playing over half the game completely blind.

U1FOQ.png

Fire Emblem - I don't wanna do the desert map. Except for the screwy RNG, I'm enjoying the game.

eRuen.png

Digimon World 2 - For the first time ever, I'm near the end of the game. My team is so broken. Hopefully I'll finish this soon since Atelier Totori is around the corner.

A bit of multiplayer, but mostly the campaign with Gears 3. It's awesome. By far the best of the series for me. I'm actually invested in the universe and the fiction, something the previous games didn't really do for me. I was pretty apathetic about this leading up to the release. The idea of more Gears didn't really excite for whatever reason, but I'm really glad I picked it up. The multiplayer is a ton of fun as well judging by what little I've played.

And as always these past few months, I'm still playing New Vegas. After finishing the fantastic Lonesome Road add-on, I figured it was time to go back and play the one DLC I've yet to experience. It's really good so far. The setting is great. Lots of exploration potential methinks.

I just recently got Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, so I've been on a Genesis game kick recently. I'm playing through Shining in the Darkness before moving on to Shining Force, and I played most of the original Shinobi and finished Revenge of Shinobi (that one's not on SUGC, but I have it on a Sega CD compilation) and so I see myself starting Shinobi III soon as well. I'm really having a lot of fun with this since I was pretty much a Nintendo fanboy back in the 16-bit days, so most of these games I'm playing for the first time.

Gears of War 3 - Haven't had the chance to touch Horde or Beast Mode yet, but so far the game has the best multiplayer in the series by far.

Baldur's Gate 2 - I've never played it and picked it up during the most recent GOG sale. Beginning is a bit slow and there's a definitely a bit of a learning curve, but overall I've been enjoying it so far. With all the upcoming games I have no idea if I'll ever get the time to complete it. Definitely going to give it a shot. Also, it was surprisingly easy to install the widescreen mod and fan patch - Nice work BG2 community.

Just beaten Medal of Honor (2011) and I find it pretty entertaining. Short and story was crap but their is potential for greatness when a sequel comes out.

If you can beat Civ, any Civ, on Deity, that's not the kiddie pool :P.

Battlefield: BC2 Got a new 12 month XBL renewal, so been getting back into this. Still as addictive as ever :)

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Started this up recently, up to Chapter 4 very good so far, it's well written and has made me laugh numerous times.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Finally started this as i've only had a PS3 for 2 months. Gorgeous graphics and presentation, overall i'm enjoying it alot.

Mafia 2

Valkyria Chronicles

It's my birthday tomorrow, so i'll have more games to play then =P

Resistance 3

Battlefield 1943 (getting ready for BF3, I need it my veins...DIRECTLY!)

Ha, well first I have to beat Immortal.
Even immortal would be pretty impressive, if you manage that in Civ, you can play a Paradox game no problem. They're not as complex as they can appear to be :P.

Motoheroz: one of the best multiplayer games on Wii(ware), haven't laughed so hard in a while.

Gears of War 3: playing through the campaign in coop, can't wait to play Horde 2.0
Gears-of-War-32-500x250.jpg

  • Gears of War 3: Finished the Campaign two days ago which was awesome and shits all over the second game in terms of pace and level design (I bet the game in 4-player co-op will be amazing), now playing MP and Horde.
  • Deus Ex: Done with my first visit on
China and now probably gonna fight the second boss
, as of now easily a very strong GOTY contender and one of the best games of this gen IMO.
  • Warhammer 40K: Space Marine: Haters can go kill themselves with an axe, a great action game with some beautiful vistas and very solid game mechanics.

The last third of the year started very very strong and still a lot of very promising titles are coming - this fall seriously looks like it might be the best we had since the start of this gen...my wallet is definitely crying but I have a big smile on my face. :P

It'd be interesting to see the comparisons and contrasts of gameplay elements of Gears 3 and Space Marine. We're well aware that Space Marine is a much different beast and not merely what people were thinking it to be...just a great time to be a gamer with a fondness for ultra-servings for space machismo.
