Whatcha Been Playin': January 2015

DriveClub with my new Club. Awesome.

Trying to get through TLOU remastered but have to find moments when my daughter is not around and have free time which is rare!

Puzzle and Dragons

mmmm - just hitting chapter 5 with Ellen and Keats.

it's an okay game... no where near what I thought it would be based of the "secret gem" hype though....

La-Mulana

It's great, but generally confusing. I don't think I'll be able to beat it without a guide.

and Persona 3 Portable on and off.

Its decent. Should have raised the difficulty though, since I'm finding it a tad easy on normal.

You are in for a treat :D! I loved playing through this early last year and I found the story better then P4G personally :). Which main character are you using? Depending on if you playing male or female, different dialog options become available and unique social links for each are available as well.

A great thing about the PSP version is that the 'tire' system from the PS2 version is more or less gone (just rest every few nights and you dont have to worry about trying out in Tartarus or in the full moon fights).

Pokemon Yellow (GBC) -- Two gyms in and I like how fast it feels, yet a lot more open, harder, and exploratory than X (at least so far).

The Last of Us Remastered (PS4) -- Just started. Framerate's really tripping me out, like I'm watching an HFR version of a movie. Having played through the PS3 version 4 times earlier this year, it's all still very fresh in my mind, but so far, so good. Going through it on Grounded.

I'm playing as the male protag for now. Might try the female protag later. Haven't played P4G yet, but I intend to get there once I've finished 3.

I usually have too many games going at once but here's what Im trying to focus on for each system I have

PC - Dragon Age Origins (5th or 6th attempt over the years)

PS4 - Battlefield 4

WiiU - Smash

3DS - Smash & OOT 3D

Vita - Feedom Wars

PS3 - Nothing

360 - Nothing (not even hooked up anymore until I get an HDMI splitter)

Okay, once you beat P3P, you can carry over all your weapons/level/ect onto a new game, so you can just start off at say, level 60-70 for the MC and can re-buy you high leveled personas (so you can just breeze your way through the FM Main Character story to get to P4G faster).

Both games have similarities, so while P4G is the better game mechanically from P3P.....you may be tired out from Persona by the time you reach the game :(.

I didn't (as I beat P4G three to four times before playing P3P), but that can happen.

Either way, have fun :D! P3P is one of the best JRPG's I've played :).

Finished Heavy Rain and started Danganronpa, Tearaway. Dove back into Dark Souls last night. Want to beat it before March so I can mentally prepare for Bloodborne

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, mainly since I've played Ninja Gaiden 1 to death at this point and I don't have a 360 for the vanilla version of 2. It's fun enough, at least. Ryu's so damn fun to control.

Also DDR Extreme, DJMax Technika 3, and various other rhythm and arcade games.

Bound By Flame. This game is kicking ass. How the fuck was this game burned alive by the gaming press? There isn't any other game this gen with the amount of deep weapon and armor customization that this game has. Shitty voice acting notwithstanding.

The Zero series is incredibly solid and that price is a steal for all 4 games, bonus with the DS collection is that they improved the music from the original GBA releases. (I really need to get a copy of it myself). You know, just saying :P

Just bought it. lol.

Jazzpunk

What a refreshing, crazy experience. Loved every second of it. By far the most original game I have played in at least a year. It could have been a little longer, but what was there was amazing.

The Secret World, Shadowrun Dragonfall, Kingdoms of Amalur and Trails in the Sky.

Plus, I still have FF XII, Original Sin, Grimrock 2 and The Long Dark to get back to, and Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 received as Christmas gifts still un-opened. Not enough time in the day.

I recently beat Gears of War 3 (X360), it was pretty good! I've playing one game at a time for a while now, trying to clear what's left of my backlog. Thinking to either resume Resident Evil 6 (X360) or Dragon Age: Inquisition (XBO).

Starting the year with
AC: Unity (Xbox One)
So good, really. Patches have worked more than ok and now everything is amazing. Awesome setting, nice story and a return to a more classical Form for the series, after 3 and Black Flag, which moved the focus away from assassinations to other things.
Halo 5 beta (Xbox One)
Don't know if I'm liking it or not, I die too many times to understand.
Geometry Wars 3 (Xbox One)
Time killer.

- Forza Horizon 2
- Driveclub
- Battlefield 4
- Plants vs. Zombies: GW

Still have to really get into FC4, Metro Redux, GTA V, DA:I...plenty of gaming before Bloodborne and The Order.

I'm playing:
P3P (Fem MC playthrough): I felt the urge to play this game again during the holidays. I've clocked in at 23 hours 25 minutes and I'm in July.
Persona Q: I've actually started to play this again after taking a bit of a break from it (I burned myself out way to quick :/). Almost at the end of the second labyrinth and I've already put 26 hours into the game. The dungeons aren't causing me too much trouble, it's just that I have to explore every inch of them because of reasons :3
I need to play (for the backlog challenge):
Hyrule Warriors: I finished the first two story missions. It's a lot of fun and I can't wait to play more.
Bayo 2: Finished the prologue and a bit of the first level but that's about it. I really like it so far.

I started Kentucky Route Zero. Holy balls does it look good. I love the art, love the gameplay, love the atmosphere, I just really wish it had voice acting.

Currently working on:
Stealth Inc 2
Wolfenstein TNO (ps4)
Rayman Legends (vita)
Bravely Default

Having a blast with all 4 at the moment. Very addicted to stealth inc right now so I'll probably end up finishing it tonight or tomorrow.

Persona 4 Golden and Bango Kazooie. First time I've played either of these games, and I don't usually go for JRPGs. 3D platformers are basically all I knew growing up, but I never had an N64, or played any N64 games before this. Banjo seems like it could have been one of my favourite games back in the day.

I'm currently replaying the original Ratchet and Clank triology on my Vita. I fell in love with the 3rd game at it's launch but never played any other one. Since I don't have a PS2 anymore the holiday PSN sale was a great deal for me.

Also if I had enough Ratchet and Clank I do some Binding of Isaac runs on my Vita or I play GTA Online with my crew.

I had developed a rather unhealthy relationship with Destiny and when the new "expansion" came out I had pretty much had enough, it was burning me out on gaming altogether. Then I got MK8 for Christmas and was reminded what gaming is supposed to feel like.

Wolfenstein and Forza Horizon 2, with a little GTAV mixed in. Picked up NBA2K15 yesterday and beat Wolfenstein so those will swap places. Trying to get back in to Halo:CE campaign but I've been a little hung up on assault on the control room and it's kind of turned me off to playing.

PS4:
Lords of the Fallen
Dragon Age: Inquisition

Vita:
Binding of Isaac Rebirth
Freedom Wars
Persona 4 Golden

Looking to get Persona 3 for my Vita eventually. Maybe before I start on Persona 4.

Resident Evil 4 / Biohazard 4 HD edition (PC) - Playing this in quick 1-hour bursts. Goddamn is this game amazing.

Wasteland 2 (PC) - Hooked on this whenever I get time to put some real time in. Currently have at least 10-hours clocked so far.

Divinity: Original Sin (PC) - Have like 77 hours clocked and honestly feeling really burned out on this, just want it to end already. But still GOTY.

My GOTY. This game wasn't on my radar at all and I probably wouldn't have tried it till much later if not for the XB1 bundle. It's just so fun to play and the dialogue is hilarious.

Beautiful game. I suck right now but it's really pretty lol

Giving this another go. Camera (reason I dropped it years ago) seems much better

I just bought an OG Xbox and have been playing Jade Empire, Panzer Dragoon Orta and Gunvalkyrie.

Dragon Age: Inquisition mainly. Put almost 25 hours in already and things are starting to get slightly repetitive but I'm enjoying it for the most part, will post full impressions in the OT once I'm finished.

Also played Lost Constellation, the companion piece to the upcoming Night In The Woods. Beautiful and engaging, NITW has now become Day 1.

Just finished up Sleeping Dogs and Shovel Knight

On my current list is: Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, Hyrule Warriors and Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Have been itching to play through all the Crash games, though...... They've just been sitting on my Vita untouched. Not enough time in the day.

Game of Thrones Ep.1(PS4)

DA: I (PC)

PES 2015 (PS4) (a lot of PES - and I suck...so bad...3 points after a full season. But it's a joy to watch in action)

Driveclub

Alien Isolation (PC)
