What's next after Batman Arkham Origins?

I feel sorry for WB Montreal, since a fair share of criticism is solely do to the hardware limitations of current consoles.

Hopefully when we inevitably get a Batman game only for next-gen hardware, the streets & city will have more civilians and life.

Whilst not related to Batman specifically, I do hope they get some high caliber devs / studios to work on more DC heroes, e.g. Green Arrow etc. Green Arrow would be rather interesting...and hopefully they could make a game with mechanics and game-play tailored specifically to that character, as opposed to a carbon copy of Batman.

Rocksteady is working on another Batman game, as Kevin Conroy let it slip on twitter. I do hope they'll do something more interesting, like incorporating more DC characters.

I would LOVE for Superman or any other JL member to come in.

EDIT
I think if they do remain in Gotham, they should expand the space big time. Use this as reference.

If they do, they really have to step up the traversal, because in Origins i'm already getting bored of flying from A to B as it is.
In City i liked it, because it was more of a novelty i guess.

Isn't Rocksteady working on a Silver Age Batman / Justice League game?

Pretty sure that was what Arkham Origins turned out to be. Though the Justice League part...

As far as wishes go, I'd love me some true detective Batman. Origins seems to hold your hand waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much in that regard, it's more like an interactive cutscene than actual gameplay. Set up a crime scene and find the evidence yourself, instead of a voiceover saying "I need to find the point of origin of this bullet" and then have a big flashing red arrow hovering over a point where you need to point the camera at and press A.

Can't you cut that off? Or better yet: Shouldn't you be able to cut that off?

Only one solution:

Personally I really don't see the point of another game where you CAN'T use it.

As much as I enjoyed the overall formula of theArkham series, I am ready for some overhauls.

I want Batman to go to the part of Gotham City with the skyscrapers we've been seeing across the bodies of water for the last three games. It would be amazing to be able to glide off some of those buildings. I was disappointed by the lack of being able to climb to the top of the bridge in Origins as well as some other buildings or no apparent reason.

A lot of the animations that have stuck around all three games need to be revamped. I think I will vomit if i will have to mash "X" to open a vent in the next Batman game if it is that same animation. The cryptographic decoder is no longer interesting.

Stealth really could get an upgrade as well. It has been the same lamebrain AI for all three games that lack almost any peripheral vision. WB Montreal really didn't do anything to improve upon Predator rooms as well. Sure, they added the remote claw, but I don't think that really added any challenge to the rooms.

Next step will be adding at least another city to the mix, so probably metropolis, with a brief superman cameo.
get rid of the 1 night formula and make it take place in a longer timespan.
They really need to improve stealth and change the combat somehow, to make it feel fresh again.

Personally I've had enough of the gameplay style in the Arkham series. Let's move on to a Batman game set in the real Gotham City, an open world stealth/detective game with a less cartoonish story that spans more than one night. The Arkham formula is worn out now.

It's also criminal that we still haven't had a decent vehicle sequence in a Batman game. I want a Tumbler/Batpod type vehicle that I can roam the streets in and get into car chases with.

Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate.

But seriously, they should probably head onto something different next. I don't really want any more in the Arkham series. =/

YES. When I noticed that "W ENT" building in AO I tried to go there AGAIN, and when I still failed it was the first time I was disappointed with the game.

Gotham is a gigantic city--stop with all this "Arkham" crap.

Give me a game based on Morrison's Dick/Damien run. Bring the weird, twisted, Burroughs-esque fun into the series. I want to see Professor Pyg!

Also, I'd like to have a new Arkham game that won't corrupt a five hour save XD
