What's The First Game You Played On An HD Tevelsion?

Gears of War in Fall of 2007. My ex had gotten me a 360 bundle with the Forza 2/Marvel Ultimate Alliance and picked up Gears as well.

At the time I was used to GC/PS2/Wii stuff but was blown away at how good it looked.

PGR3 at a Microsoft event in Norway (October 2005).

DMC4 on PS3. Those graphics O_O and all that at 60fps.Its still one of the best looking 60fps console games of this generation despite being a 2008 game.

Lots on my PC but console hmm..

I got a early HD TV and the HD kit for Xbox.

I think it was some Dirt Bike or ATV game then I got all the other 720p 1080i Xbox 1 games and played them too.

Mentioned by others already, Amped 2 on my modded PAL Xbox back in 2004 I think? 32" Toshiba WL48. Cost me a fortune back then but still going strong today in the bedroom.

On an HDTV, probably Kingdom Hearts or Panzer Dragoon Orta (480p? maybe, can't remember).

On an HDTV and actually in HD? I think that was X-Men Legends on the X-Box. Had 720p support. 2004.

Final Fantasy 13 demo that came with Advent Children blu-ray. I was like that Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park gif when they saw the Brachiosaur.

Wow the internet is a magical place... I thought I got my first HDTV on black friday along with the 360 launch.. NOPE google told me it was BF 2 years later and it even told my the very first game I played in HD: Call of Duty 4 and 300 as first DVD in HD. :)

I remember now and from that post, haha, that my 32" Olevia tv replaced a 19" 100 pound PC monitor that honestly had an amazing picture when paired with vga cables. Got it in the trash when I moved into that apartment and used it from 360 launch until I got this Olevia that has served loyally as my PC monitor for many years.

Motorstorm Demo and Resistance.
I took my ps3 to my friends house and he had a HD Dell monitor and HDcables.

Motorstorm looked fantastic all those years ago.

I feel like I had to have played around with store kiosks, but the first time I bought an HDTV for home and plugged it in to my 360, it was like buying a whole new console. I want to say it was December of 2009. I stayed up for hours that night just popping in and replaying my 360 and Wii games (my first time with a TV that had component to boot); I think the first 360 game I replayed was Bioshock, and it was amazing.

I'm going to guess Rumble Roses or DoA: Extreme 2, just because we bought the 360 first and those were the first two games we bought.

No one ever believes me when I tell them I bought them because the lady of the house wanted to play them.

While I have obviously gamed on others HD sets. I only bought My first HD TV last week.

I did the majority of my HD gaming on pc monitors this gen via HDMI/VGA, so that kinda counts.

Some early F1 game on PS3. It was pretty, but boring as heck and I played Final Fantasy Tactics instead.

LOL reminds me of a guy I work with. He bought a HDTV and had it for over a year and one day we got on the topic of cables. He's not a gamer but had this HD cable box to his HDTV with red white yellow composite cables..... After I realized he was serious I brought him a spare HDMI cable to try the next day. Needless to say I received a phone call that night thanking me for giving him a brand new tv! :)

I can't remember the first game I played on an HD tv at like a friends house or anything, but the first game I played on my OWN HD tv was the first Mass Effect. I got a 360 for christmas and immediately went out and bought a fancy new tv to go with it. I remember being blown away, haha. Now it's all so normal.
