What's The First Game You Played On An HD Tevelsion?

First game I played in full and proper HD was... New Super Mario Bros U.

First game on an HD television I don't remember.

Ridge racer 6. Back in 2005, I didn,t know much about 720p or 1080p. Bought x360 on launched day in Tokyo, got home, connected the brand new console to my 24"Dell monitor using component cable, inserted the game and voila, my very first HD gaming experience. Good times ^_^

Kameo on xbox 360. Call of Duty 2, FIFA and the rest of launch titles after that. I played "in HD" for many years on pc, but still couldn't believe how good everything looked on a big screen. Hud elements etc. Whole experience felt so new and fresh.

Probably Final Fantasy X or Gran Turismo 4 (in 1080i). Star Ocean 3 was the first game I played in 480p. The first HD console game I played was Oblivion, though that was a massive disappointment coming from the PC version.

Some racing game on 360 followed by Gears. Neither really impressed me, but then I played a boxing demo on a 360 at walmart and that was pretty good looking. I think I was kind of already spoiled by watching "Sunrise Earth" back when it was like the only show broadcasting in HD lol

Gears of War, the sheen convinced me to play it for 4 and a half hours longer than I should have (yes I know it's a 5 hour long game, that's the point) :P

on a 37" LG.

i was blown away by the graphics!

Still the only 10/10 gametrailers has ever given... yea...

Gears of War on a CRT HD Samsung TV.

The TV had a brilliant picture but it did have an ever-so-slight issue where the picture bowed. It also weighed around 50KG.

Other than that it was good.

I believe it was Tony Hawk's Underground on the OG Xbox using the games 720p mode. I was floored by the IQ on my 32" Toshiba CRT HDTV. So sharp and smooth.....

I bet it looks like shit now.

Whatever that first PS2 Mortal Kombat game was called. Played on a plasma way back in 2002 or 2003.

First game I actually played in HD was Dead Rising.

I can only remember the first HD game that I ever played on my own HDTV, and that was MGS4. Staring at Snake smoking (and smoking and smoking) was pretty freaking intense...

Call of Duty 2 in a (now defunct) Woolworths store. Blew me away and sold me on HD consoles. I must've gone back to that store everyday after college for 3 weeks to play that demo level.

Halo 2 on the 360 before anything worth owning for it was out.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter was my first "real" "HD" game. Unless you want to count Hexic HD.

Uncharted 2.

It was glorious, even though I've completed it before on a SDTV and been playing HD games on PC for some time.

First game I played on our 1080i tv was Ninja Gaiden on the xbox. 480p only and our tv sucked for 480p content but god damn did that game look glorious.

First HD game I played on it was PGR3 (yeah yeah I know, its sub hd). It was also the first time I used that tv for gaming at 1080i and man, PGR3 looked like a miracle to me.

Probably Resistance: Fall of Man. My roommate had got a PS3 on launch day, and an HDTV a few months before I did.

It was amazing at the time, especially the snow levels. The first HD game to really blow me away on an HDTV, though, was when I played Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction on my HDTV. Looked amazing. Then Uncharted: Drake's Fortune a month after that, and I was sold on HD forever.

EDIT: Although it could have been Gears of War. I don't remember, but my roommate had a 360, and he got Gears, but I don't remember if he had an HDTV at the time we played it. I distinctly remember playing Resistance on his HD set, though, and they both released in 2006...
