What's the game with the lowest Metascore which you... actually like?

Off the top of my head, a game I really liked in the PS3 launch that no one else seems to. Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom. Which has 58 Metacritic rating.

currently playing and enjoying MoH Warfighter which has a 53% metacritic. I only paid $10 for it though. The pc version is gorgeous and I'm assuming many of the bugs have been patched out by now. It should be closer to a 70% game imo.

I have this, played it maybe 30 minutes. The performance is so bad (Ps3 version) I couldn't continue, it suffers even worse than Amy does, the framerate drops to a point of freezing the game at points. That and Enslaved are the only two games I've ever had to stop playing because of performance issues.

PS3 version was pretty bad pre-patch. Thankfully I played 360's so it was good.

How the hell does Alpha Protocol only have a 63 for the 360 version?! That game is so good. Just with some flaws.

Even Ghost Squad on Wii has a higher score, and for the record, I like that game, too.

Deadly Premonition - 68
The Saboteur - 73, 360
Alpha Protocol - 63, 360
Alice Madness Returns - 70, 360. I should of bought it after renting it but never did
Alan Wake American Nightmare - 73, PC
Medal of Honor - 72, PC
Shank - 67, PC. Playing with a gamepad elevated my overall enjoyment since the pc controls sucked

Yup, those are all really satisfactory experiences that got oddly smeared.

Killing Floor - 72
Alpha Protocol - 72 (63/64 on Xbox 360/PS3)
Binary Domain - 68

I absolutely love Killing Floor and Alpha Protocol and I'll be diving into Binary Domain soon.

KF and AP are among my favorite multiplayer and single player games of all time (respectively).

So I agree with this post 100%

Last year's GoT RPG, has an average of 55ish. Playing it at the moment.

Ya, but think about what a really great Game of Thrones RPG should be.
It's okay, but it's not that.

The potential crushes your soul every moment you are playing it.

I'm thinking some kind of crazy mix of The Witcher + Skyrim + Total War.

From what I can find...

Metal Saga, PS2: 62

Seems most reviewer's problem with it is that it doesn't guide you on it's plot and just kinda drops you into the world. Which is pretty much the reason I loved it. =\

Mega Man X Command Mission (69). I thought it was a great RPG with some some great combat and a fairly nice challenge for the extra content, sure it had a real issue with the encounter rate, but it wasn't game breaking.

Well, I was going to say Kirby 64 and Pokemon Colleseum until I saw that their scores were in the 70s. Wtf. Those games should've been horrible, haha.

Oh! I found one.
One of my favorite games, The Last Remnant. 66/100 Metacritic.

However, I played it for the PC which was a lot better so the number may not entirely accurate.

I enjoyed it for what it was. Wasn't amazing nor would I really recommend it to someone, but I liked it lol.

EDIT: Seems I was looking at the PC version. PS2 scored considerably higher (65).

This game had a pretty ridiculous difficulty spike at times if I'm remembering right. Was a great challenge though, I'm intrigued to give it another shot.

A ton. Some examples:

Spelunker HD - PS3 [56]
Shinobi - 3DS [69]
Frogger 3D - 3DS [54]
Fighter Destiny 2 - N64 [54]
Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth - PS1 [62]
F1 Race Stars - PC [62]
Street Fighter EX3 - PS2 [64]
Lost Magic - DS [68]

Full stop. The 66 it got on 360 was deserved, but the game was vastly improved for the PC. Despite that...exact same score. Boo.
Played Last Remnant on PC, it was awesome.

Grab it if you can get it during a Steam sale.

I remember having a few hours fun with this for some reason.

You are an insane person.

This is one of the worst games I've ever had the misfortune of playing... and paying $60 for (Don't ask, I don't even know how to justify it).

I guess I'm the insane one. That Metacritic score is actually about 20-30 points higher than what I would have guessed if you asked me.

EDIT: OH FUCK, this is the Wii version. I have the 360 version, I didn't realize which one you posted. Is the Wii version somehow improved over the 360? Maybe that would justify the 55.
Don't know anything about the 360 version, but I think the Wii one is a different game. A sequel, maybe.

I don't know how they got 60 bucks out of you, I thought the entire point of those games was that they were a budget series.

This is mine:

Not even close to being an RPG, but I enjoyed it.

What's the story behind that one?

The lag made UO unplayable at launch, at least for me. It was taking minutes to respond to actions.

Edit: Plus it was very buggy. The game was very much a work in progress. It was also possibly the best griefing game of all time, which it became notorious for in the press and online.

Adored this game:

70 metacritic, and if I'm honest, with good reason, I mean look at that boxart... but I played this game endlessly until I could finish it without getting hit. Great times.

Eureka Seven: New Wave and New Vision, the first is at 54% and the second at 40% . Awful games but I like the universe too much.

After that is probably Cel Damage at 67%. Played it on the Xbox and had a ton of fun with it. Felt kinda like an insane version of Mario Kart.

Also should put in a spiel about Advent Rising at 70%.

Maybe the metacritic scores are accurate, but I still enjoyed these two.
Dawn of Mana has an ok story, beautiful presentation, and a unique combat system but suffers from poor controls, cheap bosses, and requires you to grind each stage.
Chulip I think is under-rated because it was too weird for most reviewers.

Two others already mentioned that I enjoyed, even if on some level they are a bit mediocre.
PN03 is weird but addictive if you can wrap your head around it.
Crystal Bearers has an ok story, and like Dawn of Mana has a unique game mechanic.

Probably Port Royale 3. To quote myself from last year's GOTY voting thread:
Me a few months ago said:
Don’t let appearances (or the subtitle) fool you, this isn’t some clone of Sid Meier’s Pirates!. Port Royale 3 is at its core an economic simulation, where you start out with next to nothing and are expected to build up a profitable business. I was initially quite down on Port Royale 3, being turned off by the lesser naval combat system as compared to its predecessors and a few other annoyances. I hadn’t had particularly high hopes either after the disappointment that was Patrician 4. Happily, I went back to it late in the year to find that between patches and a piece of DLC, most of those annoyances had disappeared and what remained was quite possibly the best game in the series due to the expanded city management and superior interface. Combat still isn’t as strong as it was in the previous games, and definitely not as strong as it should be in a game that does pretend it offers players choices other than a gameplay style focused on trade, but since I have no taste for anything other than the economic gameplay style and since combat can be simulated, I can live with this failing. Aside from that however, all is well. Building up from nothing is a very rewarding experience in this game, as is eventually taking over towns and becoming the dominant force in the Caribbean. Certainly one of the more enjoyable games of the year for me, even if it isn’t quite as good or as deep as Patrician 3.

Probably the fairest review in terms of the quotation listed, even though I'd probably give it a 7-7.5 personally:

Bullshit are reviews like this one (judging by the quotation at least):
