Racism has been incorrectly mis-defined as a cheap-shot derogatory attack for many arguments.

Don't like religion? Racist.
Don't like this country's politics? Racist.
Don't like this ancient cultural practice? Racist.

Racism is bad, but it really shouldn't be used as a blanket term.

Anti-religious would seem to fit, but it's not as angry a word. When people want to scream they're being persecuted, they want a hateful label that is short and biting. It has to make the attacker seem wrong and evil.

RACIST works, even it it shouldn't.

I won't pretend to understand the political or social differences all these people have, but nothing could convince me that any of them have any sense.

Anit-Israeli does not mean anti-Jew. There are Jews that do not recognize the legitamacy of the State of Israel as a Jewish homeland because it is stated in the Toran that the Messiah (annoited one as was tradition to annoint leaders in oil and have them stand above the masses and glisten in the sun) will be the one to restore the State to the Jewish people.

Egypt has some racists and some of the most radical views of Islam were forged in the south. Conspiracy is rampant in the wake of Tahrir Square, but that is largely part to the deluge of misinformation. Part of it is half-truths mixed with speculation but another part has destablization as its motive.

I know some brilliant Egyptians that are level-headed but I know there are some crazy fucks too. The same can be said about Americans. There are Christian Zionists that would flip-out if they thought they were on Al-Jazeeera.

All and all, i found the video more disturbing than entertaining but I think that was its purpose.

Unfortunately not only there is a great deal of racism in muslim countries including Egypt towards Jews but I don't see it changing.

The most amazing thing about this video (aside from the crazy racism and barbaric violence) is that they keep on making this joke AFTER HE PUNCHED HER STRAIGHT IN THE FACE.

And lol at interpreting crazy out-of-touch antisemitism as patriotism. This is deeply unsettling as an Israeli, but not especially surprising.
 
If this is what constitutes entertainment in a country to the point that it's broadcasted on national tv, then the culture has some deep-rooted problems.

The people in this video ARE brainwashed racist savages, no way around that.

And, Israelis aren't brainwashed? This is the reaction you get when you take a country from a group of people and claim it as your own. Israel reminds me a lot of the US, and Israelis remind me a lot of Americans. Although, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, as a lot of them are Americans.

Savage is creating an apartheid state and then wondering why everyone around you is freaking out.

The media in Israel is not anti-Arab, far from it. Actually the media in Israel is very liberal - much more than the population itself.

Israelis aren't brainwashed. Some of them are just genuinely stupid. They believe silly things and interpret the facts in a different way. And some are fantastic. BUT NO ONE WOULD PUNCH A WOMAN IN THE FACE ON LIVE TELEVISION BECAUSE OF RACISM.

I'm not trying to be cheeky but the images of Israeli Defense Forces dislocating families come off like a heavy-handed slap to the face.

Careful with the generalizations. There was one bigot in the video. "Savages" enters into the realm of classifying as "sub-human." Regardless of views, we are all people. I have no idea what sort of heathy solution could ever come about. A slow process of cross-cultural appreciation is all I can imagine.
 
How many times have you seen jews attacking someone just because they're, say, Egyptians? Have never seen it

An 18 year old soldier in contact with civilian population (without a choice) is not the same as a celebrity appearing on television. I stand by my comment. This behavior is a disgrace. I never said all Egyptians are like this, but I did say you will not find a comparable situation in Israel.

Brainwashing is being taught that to be a Jew means to love Israel from they day you start attending Hebrew School, brainwashing is being told that anyone who questions Israel is anti-semitic. Brainwashing is being told that a democracy can be formed within a neo-theocratic state.

But, yes, you're right, no one would be hit on TV. Egypt has just as many problems, if not more, than Israel.

Excuse my ignorance but I'm a bit confused, shouldn't the dialect (I hope this is the right word) between the arabic from Israel and Egypt be different? How did the people being pranked did not notice this from the people who claimed they were Israeli?

Pretty much, but it´s just too broad to actually use it. They should come up with a new word that is easy to remember, because the word 'racist' is really out of place here.

I guess we should start thinking of anti- words for every religion. Because now, basicly only the Jews have their own well known anti- word. While in a lot of cases it´s actually the muslims that are under attack atm (here in Europe anyway).

In the United States there are around 15 different dialects. It can be hard to tell the differnce between, say, someone from the Northwest and someone from the Midwest in just a quick sentence or two.

It's different when we're talking about 1 country but I live in Puerto Rico and the Spanish from Dominican Republic, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, etc. are all different and immediately noticeable.

It's an entirely different language.... The fact that they fell for the joke (a show filmed in Egypt, in Arabic, by EGYPTIANS, for an Israeli channel...?) is also amazing.
