What's your next-gen hype level at?

eh/10. Sony's advertising for their Feb. 20th event has been amusing. I don't really care about the actual stuff, though.

1/2 for both I suppose. Difficult to be hyped about things I don't know anything concrete about.

Wednesday night I'll be off the scale though.

Always interesting when someone reveals themselves as a gamer who has no interest in one of the game industry's pioneers. Especially on GAF.

My hype level is around 6/10, but I'm sure by the 20th it'll be higher, and then when Durango's reveal comes it'll be just as high.

Until games are detailed, I'm holding at a solid four for MS' box and a three for Sony's. Spec talk doesn't seem interesting because it's all so much more PC-like than before, but it's the custom console configs and logic that I'm interested in hearing about that keeps my hype level at above one.

Sony are doing a pretty good job of getting me hyped for Wednesday, so probably 7 or 8/10.

Microsoft haven't really kicked theirs into motion yet, so like 2/10

Sony I would say 9/10 because Sony in Europe have done a great service in my opinion and Playstation Plus was the best service in this gen for me.

Regarding MS I'm interested but I will not buy the console unless there's a lot of exclusives I want. So my hype level is pretty low on that one.

As much I would like to get the PS4 on day one I still want some Hardware revision and want to make sure it's a good system. I guess I may be getting the PS4 once the cross-platforms start to decrease on the PS360. For one, I can't wait but the Backlog is still very strong and there's other priorities in life with the lady I'm more excited to be honest. :)

Calm before the storm, baby... Just wait till Wednesday. =D

As far as MS, however, negative hype. Nothing about what I've reads about Durango excites me in the least

4 out of 10? The Game Trailers "dos and don'ts of the PS meeting" video had me anticipating Wednesday, at least. I need to see games though.

3/10

Better tech doesn't necessarily mean better "big" games. If anything we might get more bland focustested drivel aimed at the general audience.

11/10. This gen has gone on for far too long. I need new experiences, more ambition in games etc.. I am super hyped. Bring on the 20th!

I'm not sure I get hyped over these things. I have a definite interest, but no more than any other new thing that I will end up purchasing at some point.

about 5/10

want to see what Sony brings as far as graphics, but lets be honest: expecting better looking games than high end pc games is stupid

curious but not excited

not interested in new Xbox at all

Really none. Specs and rumours don't do much for me. My potential hype won't really exist until E3 when actual games are shown.

PS4 - 8/10 for now and will probably reach 10 on Wednesday.

720 - 1/10 because of the latest always online, no used games, and mandatory kinect rumors.

10. I stayed up all night just to see this Bungie Vidoc. Next gen needs to happen now, I'm running out of caffeine.

9/10 for Sony

7/10 for Microsoft

I'm really excited from what I've seen so far of the PS4, the controller that is I guess. I really like that Sony still cares about giving me incentive to buy their consoles over the others with their exclusives. I like the weird ideas they have with combining the touchpad, 3D sound, Eyepad, PSMove, etc. but to me I'm more excited to see their games. On the other hand, I'm still worried about the usual suspects. I'm afraid the new PSN will still be shitty.

With Microsoft, I know they have a few things on a lock. I know their online platform will likely be the best, with no question. I don't care for Kinect but I'm curious to see if they try and do something different like Sony, but I'd rather them just focus on some games. I mean they have a lot of interesting IP's like Alan Wake, Forza, Halo, Gears, and a whole catalog of Rare games that could be accessed at any time. Sadly, Microsoft has seemed to care less and less about pushing out exclusives, especially compared to Sony, not to mention a lot of them are Kinect focused, which kills my interest.
