This is a false comparison. It's like saying the people who boycott Nestle for their deplorable corporate policy are the same as people who boycott Nestle because the wrapper on their chocolate isn't shiny enough.

Not really but from what I've seen it looks like Pikmin and I didn't really enjoy Pikmin so I feel like it's gonna be the same thing with TW101, I'll try it anyway, I'm just not really excited for it.
The new 3D Mario looks nice but I think that's part of nostalgia talkingWii U is going to look much more appealing come 2014.
I have no idea how a person who's seen ANY media for W101 could confuse it for Pikmin.
Different genre, different pacing, different presentation methods... it's like you see a large group of tiny people and jump to the most wrong conclusion humanly fathomable. It'd be like looking at Arkham Asylum and assuming because it has a hero in a cape that it's exactly like Superman 64.

I'd buy a decent quality, solid 60FPS PC port of Vanquish, Bayonetta or a sequel for either at full price. The game designs are great, but having smeared slideshows for graphical presentation is a great injustice to the designs.
If I end up buying any console in this gen, it would probably be a PS4, in late 2014 at earliest. I can't see things working out well for Platinum if they tie their future to the Wii U.

The short cut is growing on me. I just watched the 15 minute off-screen play.
Actually, since Bayonetta 1 had a lot of...interesting costumes, maybe Bayonetta 2 could indulge is in different hairstyles...

I think it's impossible for me to be disappointed at this point. Especially with X being unveiled.

From the start of this gen to the end, that is one thing on GAF gaming side that always gets a good laugh out of me.
You can't see things working out well for them when Nintendo's cutting the cheques and keeping them in business while a 3rd-party publisher cancelled what would have been their most recent project?

Some--if not many--people here in GAF, and elsewhere I guess, really seem like they prefer to just let Bayonetta 2 crash & burn & not existing at all instead of existing exclusively on a Nintendo platform.

Indeed. It seems even good games aren't enough to make a console alluring to some, all the "if only it wasn't on Wii U" talk has me shaking my head.
Not irrational. Not a single game Nintendo makes is in the style I like. What makes that irrational? I'm not a serious mobile gamer. The last game I bought and played on my DS was Hotel Dusk. I don't like Mario games or Zelda and I prefer much higher quality graphics than the Wii U supports. I guess my opinions differing from your's mean irrational hate huh?

Plat isn't owned or even contracted by Nintendo beyond these games as far as we know, and they are getting paid to make to games for the platform.
I don't see how if they continued to work with Nintendo while remaining working with other pubs could be a bad idea unless the relationship turns sour.

I'm indifferent to her fate, I quite enjoyed the first game immensely, but I'm not buying a wii U to continue her adventures, If anybody is causing Bayonetta to crash and burn, Its P* for choosing to make her exclusive to such an unappealing console. I wish them the best though, I can still play their older awesome games until they come to their senses.

What do you mean "come to their senses"? No one would fund this but Nintendo. It really is true that this game would be on Wii U or nothing at all.
So we are going to just ignore Sega canceling the game and Plat flat out saying it was thanks to Nintendo this game is even getting made?
Also even if we did take away Nintendo, Plat still has no choice given Sega owns the IP, so if anyone would have to come to their senses it would be Sega, and not Platinum.
I am more interested in finding out how Nintendo can make Wii U appeal to these people. Yes, there are some diehards who will never purchase anything made by Nintendo and vice versa for other platform makers. At the same time, Nintendo needs to fix some of its internal issue too as well as an attempt to ram up its exclusivity library.
Selling it as a secondary console is the approach I want to see from Nintendo.

I love Platinum's games but hard to get super pumped about games on a platform I never intend to purchase. Nowadays I'm PC exclusive so I'm more excited about MG Rising than Bayo 2/W101 because MGR is coming to PC.

Platinum Games is the Idris Elba of Gaming-side and Idris Elba is the Platinum Games of Off-Topic. The only logical thing to do is make an action game based off of Luther.

A friend of mine is working on Pacific Rim and I missed Idris on the mixing stage by like an hour. Which sucks, because I am probably the biggest Idris Elba fan I know, from The Wire, to Luther, to his DJing.

lol, I'm on it, too. To be fair, this was in response to an announcement trailer, when the developer/publisher relationship between Platinum and Nintendo was very murky, and if the title was essentially "rescued" or just "bought". That list is a bit disingenuous as a result. A lot of people didn't want the game to be exclusive because they were looking forward to it and had no intention of buying a WiiU. I don't think that's a wrong or "shameful" way of looking at things.
Once the facts were clarified, I think a lot of people changed their tune.

I must admit, even as a big fan of character-action-games, I'm not as interested in platinum as I was before.
Both Bayo and MGR had very bad issues that Platinum could have avoided but didn't.
- Bayonetta 1 had way too many QTE and mini games and little actual action gameplay inbetween all of that shit.
- Metal Gear Rising had a fucking terrible camera and some ass-backwards control scheme decisions (both getting a lot worse in harder difficulties).
In short, they make good games, but they also make sure to have a ton of bullshit to put between you and that good game. And I'm sick of that.

Wrong. I support them by buying their games new, and spreading word of mouth, they have a game on a console I neither own nore want, me spending 300 to play a single game is beyond support.
To me thats like digging into a toilet for a lolipop, I'm sure she's a sweet lass, but I'll pass and pray for news on something they're working on that will be on a console I actually want.
That's the plan..but Name one.
