I am going to buy a Wii U specifically for Bayonetta 2. While I am glad the game exists, it doesn't change the fact that I am mad that I have to buy such a lame duck of a platform to play it.

Dragon Quest also caused a pretty massive meltdown. It always happens every time Nintendo get a new exclusive. Hell, it happened a little bit recently with Sonic.
I MIGHT feel that way had this week's Nintendo Direct not happened....
But it did. And now it is no longer a console solely for Bayonetta 2 for me, but also for Wonderful 101, for Mario World or whatever, Mario Kart, X, new Donkey Kong - and that suddenly makes it for 6+ games, many of which will last for more than months of gametime. Especially Bayonetta 2 (if the first game is any indication

Ah, I didn't know 101 was actually a full on Nintendo IP. But, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Platinum say that there was a possibility of Bayonetta 2 getting a multipat release if they could work it out with Nintendo? I thought I read that recently, but maybe I was hallucinating hope.

To be clear, you are saying that Nintendo, after rescuing this game from being canned, and paying for it's development and advertising, going so far as to have Platinum come along with them to promote the game at E3, should decide that maybe they should allow the game to be released on rival platforms....just because?

From a point of hating certain outlets when it comes to gaming I can kinda understand, because I have this deeprooted hatred for Sony (probably because of fans or some shit- other than I don't really feel that they genuinely care about gaming), but it's weird (and contradicting as fuck) of me, because I can't help but feel baffled when I hear someone say they hate Nintendo... Who the hell hates the toymaker that's purely about toys? But I can respect that you're honest about it.

Yeah, it's definitely not off the table to buy one for me. Even if I don't, I'll still probably buy Bayonetta 2 and 101, and just sit there and stare them. Imagination is the greatest console.
Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge. I had the finger on the preorder button when they announced that. And then came the whole emphasis about Kasumi being in the game and it seemed really fishy (not to mention irratating) to see Tecmo doing all this stuff for WiiU owners while PS360 players had supported them since the IP was reintroduced. Turns out what? Nintendo was purposely asking Tecmo to conceal the fact that they had PS360 versions in development, so as to have Ninja Gaiden fans dump 350 in their hardware. That's what Micorsoft did with JRPGs, it's called deceiving people and it's ugly, dirty and despicable commercial practices.
They did the same for RE: Revelations and also tried with Rayman Legends.

I have no interest in platform wars bullshit so I would be more than happy to eat a nice serving of crow; however, the fact remains that, as a person who owns every Nintendo console under the sun, Nintendo's pedigree as a platform holder is spotty, and the current state of the Wii U combined with my profound disappointment in the Wii do not inspire confidence.

Man, if this is the first time you've heard shit like this then the shit you find in Sony's closet must be soul crushing.
Everyone else has already pointed out how crazy this is, so I won't get into it. I'll just say that this is something everyone does, including Sony and Microsoft.
However, you might want to re-read the Rayman Legends situation again. I lost a hell of a lot of respect for the Ubisoft higher ups over that.
