Which company disappoints their fans most often?

Nintendo for me. They need to find a way back into the idea of their console being your only console by competing on system power. Not much could be bought on the Wii. The Wii U is better but 3rd parties have dried up because it's not worth the effort porting the PS4/One games to the system. I'm not sure they've been sole console worthy since the SNES.

Hard to say.

SE and Capcom fans are obviously masochists so in a way they must not be disappointed.
Konami still exists?
Nintendo hardware is shit in every shape and form on top of doing some nonsensical decisions but they still make good enough games, even if i personally only really care about Metroid, Birdview Zelda and F-Zero...
Sega i can't really agree with, there's no reason to localize a game that 10 people will buy anyway. Otherwise it's a decent company that release it's fair share of good and bad games.

Sega for forgetting the vast majority of all the other franchises they have and the quality of the output of the games they do make.

SE I will give them credit for Bravely Default and FF XIV: ARR since they seemed to finally get it right in regards to those games. But they are the except to the general rule of disappointing their fans. Still waiting on that FFXV and KHIII.

Nintendo but not in the way that you think. Nintendo makes excellent games bar none so this has nothing to do with quality I have absolutely no problem with the way they make their games. It has moreso to do with things on the side like dropping the ball on the Wii's successor, no real account system for digital purchases or system transfers. Things like that.

There's plenty of other MMO's on the market, why not localize one that fans want?

I'd think they'd stand to say that being the secondary console is a nice place to be when it's a 3 horse race.

Nintendo I would say, has disappointed me personally. I think if they released their older titles on mobile it would make a lot of people happy, and them a lot of money. A few other business decisions, like not releasing titles at the same time worldwide, as well as them not dropping the price on older games has really made me a bit disgusted.

Capcom and Square I'd say. I used to really love Capcom but they've managed to kill and shit on most of their second-tier franchises. To the point where they may as well just be the Street Fighter, Monster Hunter and RE games company with the occasional Dead Rising.

I'd also hazard to say Nintendo in areas that aren't game software. Their hardware and hardware OS is seriously lacking and don't even get me started on the stupid shit NoA constantly does.

Definitely Sega followed by Capcom. Someone should tally all the votes in this thread.

EDIT: Tallied just the first page and Square Enix ran away with it.

Capcom probably. MML3 cancellation still hurts.

Ubisoft is worse, but everyone expects their games to be bad so I'm not sure you can call that disappointment. Somehow people still feel some weird obligation to buy them though, so I doubt Ubi gives a shit.

Square-Enix. Nearly every game announcement they make has a catch of unfathomable disappointment linked to it.

The sole exception I can think of is Final Fantasy XIV's current version.

Nintendo is disappointing because they make the greatest games on hardware nobody owns or wants to buy. They literally act like they hate money. An iOS Pokemon would clear so much bank it's insane.

Good to know the Nintendo should go mobile crowd is still alive and kicking
(And yes, I know it's only select stuff should go mobile, but it's still a terrible idea which I will never understand)

It's all about expectations. Nobody expects anything but hot garbage out of the latter two.

So you're dissapointed because they haven't gone third party yet? I mean, Pokemon already makes a shitload of bank and they don't have to pay a single cent of fees to anyone.

Square Enix. It would be so simple to get fans back.

Released remastered HD versions of a few ff games. Release chronotrigger remastered. Illusion of time remastered.

Sequels to above games that are good.

Instead they keep giving shitty ff corridor games.

Square Enix. Especially with the Tomb Raider deal. It absolutely killed any hype I had for the game.

Also that FF7 troll at PSX.

Anyone that says this, I answer with this:
You're the spoiled son that hates your rich dad for giving you everything, regardless if that's what you wanted amid whines and crying.

Capcom, Konami and Square

I would say Sega but they have been doing some nce things

I wouldn't put Konami on that list anymore. I mean they gave it a good shot with the new Castelvania games, they're basically the Metal Gear company (and no complaints there), and we're getting a new Silent Hill from Kojima and Del Toro.

1) Ubisoft
2) Square Enix
3) Capcom.... but I still love their games

As someone who has sworn off ever giving Capcom money after what they did with Legends 3, I am thrilled that simply ignoring their games is getting easier and easier with time as they continue to erode.

Square-Enix.

FF13 series is a joke.
FF14 was released a broken mess.
Didn't localize Saga 2 and 3 DS.
Made barely upgraded versions of FF5 and FF6 on iOS instead of 3d remakes on 3DS.
No localization of Dragon Quest 7 3DS on its way.
And so much more.

I can't but laugh at the Nintendo "reasons": "bu, bu, but, the don't appeal to every one of my wimps! Oh! The games, you mean what really matters? Those are great!".

And then you have the likes of Ubi and EA.

Square-Enix its not even close.
From the NES to PS2 they made up the majority of my catalog and I haven't played a game of theirs since FFXII.

And to everyone saying 343 wouldn't they have had to create some reputation for excellence in order to disappoint anyone? I would say all their output has been in keeping with their abilities.

Square Enix. Now that is a totally clueless company.

Also Nintendo. although their fans dont care as much
