Starting at POST #216, a graph is presented showing the number of "mentions" in yet another thread regarding who GAF members trust the most in gaming development and publishing.

Trust can be a pretty broad term. I'll leave it up to your own interpretation/instinct.

You trust them to make a quality product.
You trust them to give you a product where you feel it was money well-spent.
You trust that they will respect you as a contributing member of their customer-base.

etc...

Hopefully there's some interest. I'll let this cook for two weeks if it takes off and then collect the data and compare it the previous graph, back in POST 216 in the aforementioned post.

I should clarify a little about what I feel trust is. I feel like that any game series I already like or care about will be in good hands if I trust the company. The way I feel trust isn't that I will automatically like every new thing they'll make.

Blizzard and Team Ico are studios whose games I will buy sight unseen with no questions asked. Nintendo EAD at its best is right up there with them, and generally they consistently does excellent work, but is a little too large and "too productive", so there there are a bit more mediocre titles that bring down the average. Naughty Dog will likely make that list if they can make a non-Uncharted game on par with UC2. And though Valve's games aren't in the same league for me (mostly because I'm just not that big of a FPS fan, even if HL and Portal are both fantastic), they're nigh unmatched.

Right now I can only think of one that I'm absolutely sure of.

That one would be Valve.

However, I can see Naughty Dog being my number 2 if I really had to think of one.

As for a third, I want to say BioWare but certain aspects of Dragon Age and even Mass Effect have disappointed me. They would still probably be a reluctant third (I will no longer buy their games without a second thought, unless it's a special circumstance).
