I work and operate on a daily basis with arguably one of the top 5 neurosurgeons in the world, Amin Kassam. He let me clip my 1st MCA aneurysm a few weeks ago, so I'm officially his biggest cheerleader.

Hey OP, what's up with their Wikipedia page? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire!_Santa_Rosa,_Fire!
It says they've been around since 1985. They look like the were born in '85.

haha, yeah all the dates are wrong but the info looks correct. Infact, looking at it closely, all the dates should be 2005 onwards e.g. where it says 1998 read it as 2008.

These guys will do well as David Williams is pretty damn good so if he doesnt quit and start a new band, they will keep making good music (as he pretty much writes all the music).

wicked, I am going to see Tool at a festival I am going to at the start of Feb.

He is a big wine lover and my state makes some of the best wine in the world. Maynard bought the most expensive wine ever in Australia which is a from a winery close to where I live. (paid in the tens of thousands of dollars for it).

Yeah, I heard him on the radio here in LA a couple of years ago, talking about his vineyard in Arizona. I'm pretty sure he mentioned his love of Australian wines. A lot of current/former rock stars are wine connoisseurs, it kind of cracks me up because it's so counter to the rock and roll rebel archetype.

I know Veronica Belmont and met Ashton Kutcher through my cousin who works in his company. Also had dinner with Manny Pacquiao last time he was down here in LA thanks to my other cousin. :D

Oh yeah, Zachary Ty Bryan of Home Improvement fame was on my high school soccer team for a year. :lol

My professor was Stephen Rothman. He's supposed to be famous. He's also close friends with Mark Roberts who was an executive producer for Two and a Half Men and the creator of Mike & Molly. I attended an interview/panel where the two talked. But GAF hates those shows so I guess it doesn't matter. :lol

Paul Rodriguez the comedian or his son the pro skater? I like them both!

Both. My mom is friends with his family. They own a lot of farm land in the central valley. I haven't seen Pauly since he became famous though.

My former boss got to know Hugh Laurie before House became a big hit. We worked in the same building as their production offices. Hugh Laurie would always be outside smoking cigarettes and he and my ex-boss would chat. This was before my time. By the time I started working there the show was huge and the stars were more low key.

awesome, he is an absolute legend
He's a good dude. Invited my dad, cousin, and myself to dinner at his favorite Thai place after his training session, on top of other peeps around. Then as he was about to leave, he stayed back for about 45 minutes and signed pretty much everyone's stuff who was waiting outside for him. Also met Amir Kahn and Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. there as well.

Hugh Lawrie was a huge star in UK before House became big...

I can't say there "famous" per se. But they are if you're a classical guy.

I've met and was taught by most of the famous classical guitarists of the late 90s/early 2000s.

Christopher Parkening
Sharon Isbin
Manuel Barrueco
Laurino and others.

I've hung and at times played with each of the members of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet (though never all at once).

I've met Itzhak Perlman, Emanuel Ax, James Levine and Isaac Stern (Levine was a jerk, Itzhak was freaking awesome) and hung with Chanticleer once as well as the Anonymous 4. I shook Yo Yo Ma's hand once and played with one of his students.

I've given performances of new pieces with the composer in the audience (Dayley, Sargent, and York).

As for really famous person. I once hung out with the Pet Shop Boys...I didn't know they were gay at the time.

Nah, these guys ain't famous. Do you know Esteban...?

Yeah, I know... but in the USA he wasn't widely recognized until House took off.

Another person I'm acquainted with went to a baseball game in New York City with Lewis Hamilton and his dad. This was right after the end of his first season in F1. Nobody recognized him. Anywhere else and he'd have been mobbed. Weird, isn't it?

As mentioned earlier, Woody Allen and Mia Farrow's son posts/used to post on NeoGAF.

As for me, my sister in law works in New York for NBC and formerly worked on Broadway. My wife and her are slightly estranged at the moment, but she's met hundreds of celebrities. Ian McShane and John Cameron Mitchell (of Hedwig fame) are in pics on her Facebook. McShane's coat from Kings was given to her husband and apparently Ian "smells like sex...pure sex". haha

I don't really know anyone famous now but in a few years I will have at least a friend (maybe two) in the NFL. I think that's pretty cool. I'll probably never talk to them again since they will move somewhere nice as shit.

My sister's old friend from highschool is dating Tim Lincecum. I think that's the guy, some baseball player.

I don't really "know" them anymore, but I went to schools in Aintree and Maghull in Liverpool, Heidi Range from the Sugarbabes was in my class in primary school and the first three years of secondary school. She's really really nice, and always had a great voice - was made up for her when she did well. I bumped into her after she'd joined the band and have to admit, despite having known her, was a bit star struck and choked on my words when I spoke to her again. She's lovely, hope she has a life in fame after sugarbabes (Far left):

When I moved to another school, Alex Curran (Liverpool footballer Steven Gerrard's missus) was in my year. Never really encountered her much, but she was very good looking back then, very popular, and as I remember it, a bit of a bitch.

My cousins are the McCoy/McCaughey septuplets who were born about a decade ago.

A different cousin was thanked in the credits of a TLC special.

I am pretty familiar with Atom Egoyan, he is a friend of my Uncle's actually (went to Uni with him) and not only I "know" the guy I have his digits!... in my mobile phone!..Fuckin eh!

Whichever GAF is the first to tell me who Atom Egoyan is wins a prize...prize is my respect! ...using Google to find out will only disqualify you and even maybe get you banned!.

Directed Exotica.

Yep... that sounds like an honest off of your head knowledge, you got it! you win! (one of my favorite movies of all the time BTW...Of course it's easy to argue that I'm being biased)

Me and a friend are working on a short animated film and our goal is to get him to "produce" it, not actually fund it or anything, we really just want to get his name in the credits with an important title, just so the short film gets places and is viewed at Anim. festivals...

We just stated developing the story, can't wait until we approach the guy, I admire him on many levels. a filmaking genius... Never a sell out to Hollywood, not even after being nominated for an Oscar... always doing his thing, raking in Cannes prizes....as weird and as abstract some may find his work, he keeps it real!

No one, really. I was friends with that guy Johnny Cupcakes, who has made an absurd amount of money designing those cupcake/crossbones shirts, back right around the time he started out. I recall him making Goonies pins and stuff and selling them at local festivals before coming up with the shirt idea.
That's awesome.

Not in the pics I have seen. Most of the chicks were here cousins (not related to me). Those women were fine.

Where did you say you were from?

Edit: I've met Josh Koscheck a few times. My friend and him are special friends.
I take it you're residing in Fresno? I've met Josh a few times as well, at his gym. :P

I went to school and had a few classes with Brooke and Robin Lopez (NBA players).

Saw the US premiere. Great flick. Egoyan's best IMO.

I get :lol :lol :lol at the idea of the many people who rented it expecting a Skinemax-type flick based on the subject matter.

I played club baseball in high school with Trevor Cahill of the Oakland A's and Mike Leake of the Cincinnati Reds.

And teh gay sex.

Be sure to tell Atom that the Count is a fan. If he needs help with a title or tagline, I'm the guy.

Hey guys, talking to a celebrity a couple times in person or knowing someone who knows them does not count as knowing the person yourself.

Like, I've had neogaf conversations with Whitta and he sent me a signed blu-ray, I don't pretend that I actually know him.

So you ever go to that club elements?

None, But I met Kent who is the main vocalist of Lillies and remains a few times and he seems to know my name. However, he is not that famous and he dousn't know me that well.

A few.

One of my cousins is a famous photographer. He's all over fashion and celebs. Made a few friends in LA and NYC as a result of his connections. Probably the closest thing I've got to a brother.

My aunts twin sister was married to John Provost for like 15 years. He played Timmy on the original Lassie. Met him quite a few times at family reunions and such. Nice guy.

The one on Marks/Bullard? If so, I've been there twice in the past year or so. Anything significant I should know?

Nah. Just wondering. My friend works there and she talks bad about Kos' gym and the people that go to the club.

When I met my wife I had no idea, but being from Long Island, she grew up with the members of the band Brand New. I loved them long before meeting her, but every time they come to town, I get to go backstage and hang out with my favorite band, and I have to play it off like it's no big deal :lol

I know Jack Perez, the director of the critically acclaimed Mega Shark v Octopus.

We've spoken a lot about film and he's extremely intelligent and nerdy when it comes to talking about film language.

my uncle was the bassist and singer in Rema Rema, Mass and The Wolfgang Press. that probably doesn't much to many people but if you like post punk music then Rema Rema and Mass are two of the best bands that were part of that scene
