I won't compliment her attitude in The Southern Raiders ("hurr durr Zuko sounds like a much wiser guy on the subject of revenge than Aang!"), but hating her? ...Can't agree with that at all. If I were to hate any character in that show, it was Sokka post-Toph. If you're going to make a rather serious character funny, I'd rather him be actually funny (Cactus Juice scene was still hilarious, though).

Johnny Bravo. He's super sleazy and exactly the kind of person I hate meeting in real life. It always confuses me when I see people online talk about how much they loved this show.

He was great in the first season (before they changed the art style and introduced supper annoying characters like Carl and that bar owner). He was a buffed-up narcissistic playboy, but he was also an adorable good boy. In later seasons they turned him into a totally unlikable idiot with no redeeming qualities at all.

What a pain, worst filler known to man.

I actually don't get alot of the hate for Garlic Jr. Saga. Sure, it was a filler arc, but it was also only 10 or so episodes long, which is pretty damn short, especially by DBZ standards. Plus, the heroes actually had to actually work together and employ a strategy against the villain, as opposed to "wait for Goku to show up and Spirit Bomb the villain." I thought it wasn't bad at all. If anything, I would have preferred it if more of the series had the same pacing and structure of Garlic Jr Saga.

Not really a cartoon, but Animal is the shittiest muppet in existence. I have a hard time believing he's a Henson creation. He's a one joke character that's been played out to death.

....So of course he's super popular.

Honestly the focus should've been the whole band rather than just him.

Unlike the other "mean girls" she actually gets comeuppance a LOT.

This is true. Kevin, DeeDee, Lucy, all the dick characters never seem to get what's coming to them, I think that's why they're so hated, even when it's THEM starting shit. Like if Dexter was constantly bothering her it'd be one thing, but she fucked his lab up all the time and karma never touched her.

teen titans isnt very good. someday, people will see the light.

I'm right there with you man. I watched it in its initial run, now I can hardly stand it, seeing it on Boomerang.

As for me, this guy:

Seemed like a cool idea at first but then he just becomes an unlikable douchebag who's a dick for the sake of being a dick. Same characteristics I hate about Regina in Once Upon a Time. I really hate seeing serious shows with "evil, just 'cause" villains.

To be fair Dexter and Dee Dee tends to trade each other in places, and sometimes Dexter gets it out of karma (being a snob, insufferable genius, etc.) Regardless of their shenanigans they do actually care for each other.

The whole point of the manga was that the Death Note inevitably corrupts and dooms any human who uses it. That's why it was so interesting to see Light's personality change from bored, idealistic, intelligent high school student to psychotic, evil, sociopath. Light is one of my favorite main characters of all time because he is so unusual. I really can't think of anyone else like him.

If anyone from Death Note annoyed me it was her.
Ugh, such a dumb tool in the most literal sense.

lol I hate Kevin SO much. I knew kids just like him when I was younger. Rich, popular ahole.

Also hated chalky from doug. Remember he cheated on the test and didn't come clean? I do.

I loved how in a matter of a week he did a complete change from a typical high schooler to Joseph Stalin.

Kevin was a douche, but the Edds did fuck him over a lot without him even bothering them. He's not really comparable to someone like DeeDee.

Didn't Light believe he was a good guy in everything he was doing? You know because he was getting rid of all the "evil" people?

I do agree he was unlikable though, but then again..

Death Note ending spoilers -
that means the ending should have been satisfying.

I always figured it was the other way around, that Light was always a shitty person and having some supernatural ability to kill people by writing their names brought out his innate shittiness, because he figured that first it was his destiny to get the Death Note and make the world a "better" place and second he went through with the belief he was unstoppable.

I loved how in a matter of a week he did a complete change from a typical high schooler to Joseph Stalin.

That did seem odd didn't it, but I tend to think that Light was always a psychopath, it just took the right trigger to release it. Seems like that element could have been handled better though.

As a kid I hated Dee Dee on Dexter's Lab, but now I realize she made much of the humor work. However, the Japan special and the movie "Ego Trip", where she was mostly absent, were rad as hell.

I WILL FIGHT YOU!

I hate Jerry. Most of the time he's an asshole who starts all the fights or exploits situations only to hurt Tom. :/ In almost every short featuring Spike or the Mammy, it's Jerry who makes the mess and Tom is the one who's punished in the end.

Seriously, fuck you Jerry.

i dont know how i forgot that sadistic asshole. one episode was all it took for me to hate him. fuck him and nibbles.

I like Garlic Jr arc, just for White Suit Kuririn and his girlfriend.

The fact that Kuririn had a girlfriend who looked exactly like Bulma proves that Kuririn wanted to get with Bulma but was friend-zoned.

Did Tom ever win in any episode?

I know this thread is talking about a cartoon character, but every time I read "Who else hates Kevin" I get a little sad. :(

Yeah watching Light change was awesome.

Agree with many here, Lisa Simpson and Garlic Jr especially.

Some good things in this thread, but guys that have watched this show a gazillion times, like some european countries, will probably know that I say the truth.

NOBITA from Doraemon.
nobita.jpg

The top master of unlikable characters and idiots. If youve seen the show numerous times, as european countries usually have this thing in repeat since the 80's, even if you havent seen all the episodes, you know all whats going to happen in them by heart. Its all so typical, and the most gigantic problem is that Nobita is a fucking idiot.
He is stupid, a crybaby, an idiot, a slacker, a good for nothing, and the list goes on. It has no reedemamble qualities what so ever.
The problem is, HE HAS A FUCKING CAT OF THE FUTURE WITH THE SOLVE OF ALL HIS PROBLEMS IN A FUCKING POCKET! yet he always fucks up somehow because of his fault and his "friends" and family.
I have never seen a character in my life that has a time machine at his disposal and yet fucks up that much his life.

Scracth that, ALL the characters in this show are unlikable idiots.
-DORAEMON: He is a fucking prick. Ok, Nobita is a lost hope, but he was send from the future to help, the least he could do is give fucking money to a family that has econcomical problems, but he is the majority of time just as lazy as Nobita, only thinking about Doriyakis, and most of the times not wanting to help with the inventions in his pocket. If I was Nobita, and had common sense I would have kick him out of the house if he doesnt want to help.
-Suneo: He is the japapense Kevin with money. The soon someone punches him in the face the better.
-Giant (I suppose is his name in the enlgish version): A fucking bully, enough said.
-Shizuka: The love interest of Nobita, the least we talk of her the better. Im pretty sure she is just there for the lame watching her nude in the shower jokes.
-The mother: probably the one that made Nobita the way he is. She is aklways arguing becuase he son is a good for nothing, but she doesnt help the situation in the slightless.
-The father: Probably the only "likable" character, and even him has his problems.
-The Mary Sue Nobita: Theres a character, dont remember his name, that is exactly as Nobita (same design but without glasses) but intelligent, handsome, etc... I dont know who is worse, Nobita, or him.

One of the things that make all the characters be as unlikable is that the story arc of 99% of the episodes goes like this:

Nobita comes crying home because Giant and Suneo have hit him/laugh of him/stolen toy (you can change the start to not studing becuase his a slacker and wanting to change that, or Mary Sue Nobita impressing Shizuka/society and making Nobita jeleous)... - Pledges Doraemon for something to solve his problems, Doraemon as prick as he is, shows him that thing but tells him he cant use it becuase he will screw up - Nobita steals the invention and uses it for good at first (or shows it to Shizuka to impress her) - Nobita fucks up (because his an idiot) after using it agains Giant and Suneo - they discover the trick (after lots of stupidity) so they steal the invention and create havok to laugh of Nobita and make him cry - Doraemon comes to "save" the day with the helicopter hat - no one in the group learns shit.

Repeat to nauseaum with little changes.
And some times the inventions start to become so similar (do nearly the same thing but with another name/design) that some episodes are rewrites of others.

The worst part of all this is the rest of the characters are so stupid because, even prefectly knowing that Nobita has a fucking cat from the future that talks and has inventions (and taht he usues this invention all the fucking time), when Nobita does something extraordinare (more strenght, intelligence, better at sports, super powers...) no one thinks at first its probably THE FUCKING CAT AND HIS INVENTIONS DOING THIS STUFF!

Some of the "new" series try to fix some of this problems (the oversuse of the same story arc for example) and how the characters behave (knowing that is probably Doraemon's doings when Nobita does something awesome just as the episode starts), but the majority of the times is still the same shit.

Its not a problem if you see the show a couple of times, we all love watching doraemon as kids (even knowing that Nobita was an idiot) but having watch the same show since the 80's makes you hate the show and characters little by little.
Ah yeah, the series as a whole (counting all the generations, that change the art but little more) has more than 1700 episodes (hasnt finished yet, and will probably never do), but it feels that is has 100 different ones with little changes.

*finishes doraemon rant*

And dont get me started at the second most stupid main character ever...
ash.png

Just baffles me how stupid he is the majority of the time.
