Who else is plagued by an absolutely ridiculous name on PSN?

This dude asked me to make his username for him so I did, but I forgot to capitalize it. He's still mad about it like 6 years later lol.

My username is weaverfish and every time I see it I wish it was Weaverfish. Or pitcairn55 like all my other gaming related log-ins. I don't actually like pitcairn55 much to be honest, but consistency would be nice.

I really don't like my PSN name (oh, why wouldn't space be allowed in PSN name?) and I'll be dropping it during next months PS3 -> PS4 transition.
 
I wish more systems were setup like Steam or Origins where username is changeable but the account name isn't. When I signed up for PSN all my names were taken so I just said fuck it and put in some random ass name just so I could start using PSN.

Yeah. Though if rumors are to believed sony is considering letting us change usernames.
 
I like Banzai. On PSN I'm Banzai08 though, and it kinda annoys me.

Whoever took the name Banzai on PSN first...I hate you!
 
My og gaf id was my source of shame. Was going for nickslick (old timey name for devil) but took a typo & got nickslicl...

A mod kindly changed it to match my psn id. I'm not ashamed of it but I am a little weary of looking at it.
 
I'm imagining a support group of PSN people, complete with crappy plastic chairs, bad coffee, and donuts.

I created my PSN at PS3 launch. It is terrible.

Most of my active account names were made when I was a more reasonable person so I'm not bothered by any of them. I think my Steam account (Sir_Humpsalot) is the only thing I have from a while ago and I'm still pretty okay with it since no one really sees it.

That's....kinda amazing. I mean even with all the complaints about how long last gen was going on for I never really thought about it because I was pretty content with the quality of the games. I think I was in my first or second year of high-school when I first got a PS3 and now I'm a university grad with a career.

My psn is not that bad: irus_void or irus-void. Can't remember.
It's the name of a sorcerer i had in some obscure mmo.

But my steam name is awful: nooberto666.
I'd create a new account but i have over 300 games in this one.
 
z_y on PSN but I wish I had Z Y as I do for XBL. But nooooo...Sony and GAF do not allow spaces in your names. :(
 
I actually went as far as creating a new PSN account to get a new name. It didn't cost me much since I could use all the DLC and games I bought on my old PSN account thanks to the sharing system and I never buy full retail games digitally anyway if I can help it. It also incentivized me to replay some great games again.

I just really didn't like having numbers in my PSN ID.
 
My PSN is just my name. ChrisMahoney. Same with my Neogaf ID.

I'm a weirdo who uses his real name for things. My Tumblr is ChrisMahoney.tumblr.com as well.
 
I don't mind my PSN name too much. It's "Dredguno" which is just the letters in "Underdog" mixed up. I've used it as my RPG name for years. True_Underdog and variations of it were taken when I tried to make my PSN name so I just went with Dredguno. My close friends know who I am but a lot of my friends are like "who the hell?" even though I include an identifier in my PSN friend requests.

That frustration alone makes me want to change it to something that at least incorporates "underdog" if we are ever given the option to change names.

not really stuck with a ridiculous name... but when I tried to create "zruben" it was already taken by some dude who is level zero, has zero games played, zero trophies... just some dude who created the account to never use it. I had to add my last name in there... so I got "zrubenmtz"

I hate you, level zero zruben.
 
For some idiotic reason I used the handle 'animal crushing' for years. It's supposed to be a play on animal crossing but now it seems horrible and embarrassing. People from the 1up.com heyday will probably remember me

I used to be 'donkey69' on OG xbox I think.

In retrospect, it wasn't a very cool name. I chose it because it irritated the shit out of all of my friends at xbox sundays. 'you were killed by donkey69'

I sort of miss it.

I was 12 when I thought changing letters to numbers would look cool. A few days ago I figured I'd spend some of my gamestop spacebucks to change my gamertag, but everything simple is taken by now. I use it on Gaf too, so whatever.

lesson learnt 4 lyfe.

I've had a myriad of names over the years online, but finally just decided it was time to use my real name. Luckily my PSN name was already in place.
