Who has the worst wrestling finisher

Also JBL's finisher just being a clothesline (or alternatively, THE CLOTHESLINE ALL THE WAY FROM HELL) bugs me. Like with Big Show's punch or even the Rock Bottom admittedly, any move that would be done normally by a regular wrestler in a match being used by someone else as a finisher annoys me.

JBL's clothesline is a thing a beauty, if any clothesline is deserving as a finisher, it's his.

Wow. Look how much the crowd just loves this.

Rey Mysterio has my least favorite. Almost all finishers are a bit contrived by their favorite nature, but Rey Mysterio 619 has the opponent landing in-between the ropes for a good 8 seconds(something that only happens in Rey Mysterio matches) so Rey can turn to the audience, yell, run the ropes, do that weak flip around kick thing, and then the springboard sit.
But he actually killed a guy doing that move man. Or something like that.

Big Show started using the KO punch I think in 2008. What makes it so bad is when you actually see how weak his punch is.

Big Show is one of the most pure strikers in wrestling history, only behind the likes of The Undertaker and Tank Abbott. Many can vouch for this simple truth.

Who does the worm? Because I don't watch wrestling but I did it ad nauseum to a friend in some videogame 15 years ago because it was so dumb.

Kevin Nash's Lazybomb always looked super weak.
For you old school rassling fans, do you remember The Bezerker's finishing move?
He would throw his opponents over the top rope and waited for them to get counted out.
HUSS! HUSS! HUSS!

That was Scotty2Hotty of the tag team 2Cool. It wasn't an actual finisher though, just signature gimmick move.

As for worst finisher, for modern wrestlers (Attitude era and beyond) I'd give it to either Edge's spear, or (sadly) Finn Balor's double foot stomp. Actually Rusev's Accolade is terrible too.

Hogans leg drop is worse than the people's elbow.

At least the peoples elbow is fun sometimes(kicking taker down from his sit up thing etc), hogans leg drop isn't even a good leg drop.

context though. Hogan's leg drop was created in a time when people were using bear hugs and sleeper holds as finishers.

His original finisher was awesome (springboard hurracan-rana pin). But with him wrestling much bigger people, he had to find a different finisher.

Forgot about the Mandible Claw from Mankind, but that one is really weak too. You could just bite his fingers.

I read Foley's book a couple of weeks ago, that's exactly what Vince said to him.

I'm actually cool with Hogan's Legdrop because it's the last blow in his hulking up sequence. If you count the whole sequence as a finishing move then it's probably the most hype finisher ever.

Edge's spear was god awful! He should have stuck with the flatliner, and that's saying something because that's not very good either (unless performed on Puma by God King Mil). Roman's spear is good at times, but nobody will ever top Goldberg. It always looked like he tackled the soul out of someone.

For the current generation, I'm not a fan of Ziggler's zig zag or the Miz's skull crushing finale.

I could probably write a book on my favorite finishers.

Sgt. Slaughter's Atomic Noogie.

A lot of classics sucked.

Crush's Heartpunch was one of the worst

Roddy Piper's Sleeper hold...and it hurts to say this because the man was GOLDEN in the ring and on the mic for psychology and entertainment. Dean Ambrose reminds me of him a lot...except Piper could actually box.

Hogan's Leg Drop...

...and its sequel The Ultimate Warrior's Running Splash which half the time was done to someone's back.

First one that comes to mind is Egde's spear. The Flying Hug as I like to call it.

Charlotte Flair does the worst spear of them all.

I forget the guy's name, but his finishing move was to give a guy a super noogie.

Also, the Berserker just threw guys outside the ring and won by countout.

EDIT: Duh, Sergeant Slaughter did a noogie.

In general, I feel like a lot of modern finishers are all flash without impact. Bray, Cody, and Ziggler for example.

90% of wrestling moves including finishers are basically falling from waist to shoulder height if you boil them down. The flash plus wrestlers putting the move over are what make it.

I don't remember what his name is because I was super young, but he I think sat on the persons face? I think he was a sumo wrestler. 80% sure.

Anyway who has the worst one? Admittedly I haven't watched wwf for like 18 years
To be completely honest though, I'd be pretty much done with life in general if Rikishi sat on my face. So it's a pretty effective finisher.

A lot of the best ones have been said, but I'll add X-Pac. I always thought the Bronco Buster was really stupid, and the X-Factor was just slamming a guy's face into the ground. Not theatrical enough for pro wrestling.

I'll be the one to say I've never liked the Pedigree.

I think it's just because of when I started watching wrestling. Compared to finishers like the Rock Bottom, the Angle Slam, the Stunner, or Sweet Chin Music, the Pedigree was just never that hype.
