That first singing segment in the 2nd episode went on for way too long. It's the only thing I didn't find funny so far.

what hashtags? Its not there on the site.
They're only on the network. They're aimed at live viewers and are put there by the network, not the show. So they won't appear on the Internet.

Basically they're there for advertising, ratings and trending. I explained on the previous page.

The episodes were pretty fun and with a nice rhythm.
2 things I hope they change:
Star guest seated near, having him walk in and out is silly.
Aisha buzzing at every joke.

And luckily she'll acquire some needed chemistry with the trio, but she was much better than I expected.

^ Sideways poltergeist was awesome!

Wayne is smooth.

I loved the old episodes, this is the first show that made me laugh uncontrollably since Impractical Jokers. I didn't laugh much with the Las Vegas Drew Cary Improv thing. It was too formal, and the classy piano music didn't really fit to me.

Now please never go off the air again.

I'm just surprised folks were catching this live. :P

I missed the second episode, but man Aisha Tyler needs to loosen up a bit. The best parts of the OG show were Drew and the guys ribbing on eachother and shooting the shit, while Tyler might as well be Walter Cronkite up there by comparison. Also kinda disappointed that audience participation has been replaced by corporate ball washing convenient TV guest stars. Joyfully the guys themselves are still just as sharp as ever, though it also seems like they're getting away with a lot more without "the fuckin' brit." Wayne Brady and Randy Newman should do a 90 minute album on the contents of Colin's sock drawer, would go triple platinum before you could say "my god my god my eardrums they're bleeding why are Ryan's shoes so loud"

Agreed, and honestly, I never found the singing segments very funny even in the old Whose Line. Wayne is still a genius for even being able to think so quickly however.

Wow, so impressed that they kept the spirit of the original show run alive and well.

Aisha Tyler is a GREAT host/gamekeeper so far. Drew Carey was always overrated to me; his only value on the show was his dynamic with Colin, Ryan and Wayne but Aisha will hit that dynamic eventually too.

Wayne Brady is still as sharp as ever. I'm always amazed at his talents. Ryan and Colin still retain their priceless chemistry, and I hope we get to see more Colin/Ryan skits where they can play off each other more. The one where they promote a CD and give Wayne song titles to sing was always so fucking good.

Will definitely be watching this every week.

Hi GAF.
I am the blonde on Whose Line.
Also, to answer a question: the editing is actually pretty minimal. The positions of the performers in the scenes can't be replicated -- you would be able to tell if there was a cut because of continuity.
And I should be in another episode.
Thanks for watching the show, it's repeating tonight if you missed it. It's also online at the website in its entirety.

Congratulations on being on the show! It's as amazing as ever, can't wait to watch more.

Congrats.

Do you know if the celebrity guest thing is a permanent addition or just something that occurs every once in a while?

Congrats! Here's hoping they give you a bit more time on the next episode. It's always fun seeing Gaf people doing things in the real world :)

As a pretty big fan of the original I was glad to see this get another shot. I thought the new (or maybe it was late in the og's lifecycle?) where they were performing the skit on the floor was absolutely hilarious. Like others have said I could deal without the hashtag stuff but it isn't overly intrusive so whatever. Will continue to watch.

Congrats.

I heard that they overloaded on celebrity involvement for the premiere. I'm sure there will be at least 1 game per episode where a celebrity involved (to attract the crowd that cares for them for ratings), but the frequency of their involvement isn't necessarily going to be as often as it was in the first 2 eps.

So yeah, we might see multiple episodes with the same celebrity involved, but the games with their involvement will be spread out across those eps.

Of course, this is all based off what I have read, may be completely different. Only people involved with the show know for sure.

Overall, better than I thought. Aisha Tyler was better than I thought she'd be and I think she'll get better as the series goes on and gets more comfortable.

Is it perfect? No. Bringing on the guest star again, is kinda ridiculous but it was fun at least. I did think it was hilarious when the guest star in episode 1 (the Walking Dead actress) kicked Wayne.

Also, the sideways scene was hilarious. And the two "fourth chairs" were good and fit in well. Hopefully, they all get more comfortable doing it again and its funny but I would rather have more Ryan/Colin and less guest star from other TV shows.

I do want my hoedowns though!

I hope so. It sort of bugged me that their other guests didn't do as much.

I see that you're a UCB alum (that's fucking awesome, almost all of my favorite comedians are or were there at some point), know of any other UCB people going on Whose Line in the future? I'd kill to see some Comedy Bang Bang or Improv 4 Humans comedians on there.

I hate to be 'that' guy but you were really all fantastic in your episode! Look forward to seeing you in the other one you mentioned

On behalf of UK GAF I salute you :)

I'm hoping once the show gets its legs they stop with the celebs for the most part

Watched the new episodes, and the show was great! Tyler was an excellent host, and the performers hadnt missed a beat. I swear Brady hasn't aged.

I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the new host. She just doesn't have the same chemistry with the cast as Drew Carey did.

Carey felt like he was part of the cast, she just kind of feels like a separate entity from them. Although that's understandable given their histories with everyone.

I got the same vibe. I'm hoping it gets better. Part of the charm from the old show was the chemistry between everyone, including the host.

I think give the host some time. She seemed genuinely funny in a few of her jokes. Even if I despise the "I'm a women I have sex" jokes so many female comedians fall back on and I believe she made one of those.

ya I'm okay with it tho, something about her is pretty sexy to me. I like her w/ bangs

I guess I'm more interested in her interaction with the cast instead of eye candy. Because I certainly did not tune in to the original because Drew made me feel funny in the nether regions. I just hate the "I'm a girl I have sex" jokes because they feel cheap and easy (no pun) and prey on males just lusting after them for their sexuality instead of genuine humor.

I'm so glad the show came back strong. It's funny how the two previous improv shows they did (Green Screen and that GSN one) couldn't recapture the energy of Whose Line despite having almost all of the same cast, and then they actually revived Whose Line and it works perfectly.

How can she possibly ever compete. I mean Ryan Stiles was in the Drew Carey show for crying out loud. Their collaboration is the reason why America ever had Who's Line outside of British repeats.

I like Aisha. Fuck the haters. I have faith she'll work it out

I actually thought she was pretty good. A big reason why I loved Drew was because of his laugh, it is damn infectious. I was re-watching them last night and her reactions during Scenes from a Hat were great.

i did feel that some of her laughs were uncomfortably fake sounding but maybe thats just her laugh... i have no idea

This show in its new current form feels like it has a lot more breathing room. Doesn't feel like the cast has to be extremely family friendly, the cast itself seems more positive and not as stressed.

Good observation. I felt the same way. The cast seemed much more free with the jokes they could make. Such as the one where the female blond (sorry don't know her name) was laughing at Wayne's junk so he blows himself up and she's shrieking. Hilarious skit. Not sure if it would have flown by on the major stations.

I agree. The best thing about Drew was the way everyone else targeted him in their jokes. Aisha doesn't really provide that same type of comedic material, but she fits in well in her own way. And I love her laugh when she laughs really hard at something.

The only thing she needs to do is not yell into the mic when explaining the games. I guess she's trying to get use excited, but it comes off a little badly.

But there's plenty of time to get the kinks worked out.

Pretty good episodes. I've missed the show so much.

But I want Jeff or Chip or someone who can duet with Wayne. They were definitively my favorite games.
