Not a movie so might be slightly of topic but Always Sunny In Philadelphia nails dumb comedy for me. Perfect balance of smart writing, absurd plot-lines and masterful acting (At least by the main cast members) keep everything feeling real though as if it was in some parallel universe where they can do anything and there are little to no consequence for their actions. The fact it's 9 series is and hasn't lost anything, still making classics is a testament to its quality.

I remember someone referring to South Park once as dumb comedy, ironically I think it wa the guy who was dumb.

Haha I thought that was the general consensus (Freddy Got Fingered). Doesn't he suck the udder in that one? Never saw it myself.

I thought Pootie Tang was also reviled. And I couldn't get into Kung Fu Pow (the cow movie) but maybe that's because I'm not a huge classic Kung fu movie afficianado.

You should give Scary Movie 3 another shot. Hated it at first because it wasn't 1 or 2, but it definitely grows on you as you pick up on all the stupid shit they put in.

No there were definite funny moments, like she drops the fruit or whatever, and the stuff that falls keeps getting bigger and bigger.
The sheriffs hat that keeps getting bigger throughout the scene, and of course when they are spoofing Sixth Sense and the guy is like "I'm gonna need a ride."


Undercover Brother is pretty great also. I don't know if it's been mentioned yet.
But KingPin is the GOAT. For real.

MACGRUBER.. among the most underrated dumb comedies. There, I said it.

And holy shit YES.
This movie is extremely funny and definitely underrated.

No hyperbole, Freedy Got Fingered may be the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. It's just bad enough that it's unwatchable, not bad enough to be good. I may have laughed once.
