Why Girls Love The Dad Bod

Even that bran stuff?? I mostly eat those Special K, Cheerios, Honey Bunches of Oats, Raisin Bra, with the occasional Captain Crunch once in a blue moon. Anyhow back on topic.

Dad Bod just mean a body your 40-50 year old something dad usually have.

Plain cheerios is fine.

But the others have tons of sugar, especially Raisin Bran. Read the nutritional label.

Switch to a higher protein breakfast. You will be fuller more and protein is anabolic, meaning helps build and maintain muscle.
 
Why is it called Dad Bod, though? Do girls who like it have daddy issues or something? It's kinda creepy.

Presumably it means a body dad's are more likely to have. Generally because they have less spare time to go to the gym as often, due to having to look after their children, as well as work and still find time for a social life and hobbies.

The Raisin Bran revelation destroyed me. I love Raisin Bran. I had to give it up, though. It was like giving away your favorite son.

Now I eat raisins instead, which are just as bad

Looks like they have about the same percentage. Women tend to store it in other places.

Was 23% when I ended bulking currently at 18% on my way to 10% >_<
 
Dairy always gives me acne, that's the main reason I don't consume it.

But a lot of other things give me acne (along with systemic inflammation) too. Basically all the easy/affordable bulk foods, including anything starchy.

I've had being eating the wrong shit all the time! WHO CAN I TRUST!!! I do eat pizza and drink beer but I never had a huge of a gut.

Well it depends on your goals.

If you're wondering why you're getting pudgy it's due to your diet and most likely lack of intense strength training.

Pizza and beer are nice treats, but if you eat them regularly, say goodbye to any attempts of having more than a dad bod.

Unless you're really active of course.

I don't think there are good or bad foods, just foods that are more in line with your goals.

You said you didn't want to gain more fat, so I would emphasize higher protein--quality stuff--more vegetables--tomato sauces doesn't count ;P--and less refined carbs.

Fat isn't bad per se. Trans fats are horrible without a doubt. But saturated fats aren't that bad. They're just calorie dense, so it's easier to go over your caloric requirements eating fatty foods.

In the end it's all about calories, but refined foods tend to have more calories and less filling than whole foods, so you eat way more and store the excess as fat.
 
Or maybe, just maybe, I try to keep in shape for my own benefit, not for others.

Going through life with a bodytype that I personally don't find appealing sounds like a nightmare. I can't imagine a more potent motivator to start exercising and watching what you eat.

I like having physical strength. I like being able to run a mile without breaking a sweat. I like the endorphin rush you get after a strenuous physical exercise and the subsequent changes you notice on your physique after a few months. I do this for myself, so I can look in the mirror and see the person I want myself to be. Not the person my girlfriend wants me to be.

I'm not ripped but i'm very much in shape. The fact that my girlfriend likes me that way is just a bonus. If she really wants me to have a 'dad bod' she's probably going to have to wait a long, long time.
 
My metabolism is shot to shit thanks to numerous head injuries when I was young. So I've got to be serious about diet and exercise, not for others but myself.

Aside from that I think anyone that has that kind of body should be red flagged for laziness, or at least a lack of discipline. Why any self-respecting woman would opt for that in a potential mate I have no idea.
