Why is Amy Adams even playing Lois Lane?

Care to explain why an older woman dating a younger man is a problem? Because that's more or less the entire crux of your complaint here. I have issues with Adams as Lois, but her looks and age are not part of that in the slightest.

She's got eyes of a 60 y/o.

This is a brave thread.

Hollywood needs more movies where the men get to be older but the women don't get to be over 27, maybe 26.

Hopefully firing Adams will start a trend.

Without dog piling on the OP, this is the fault of Hollywood for forever discarding 35 year old plus actresses from mainstream films.

He's just reminding us how pervasive it is and when it's thankfully ignored how strange it may appear to some people.

I mean she's like 10 years older than Cavill, and she looks her age, takes me out every time because she looks so much older than him. Seems like bad casting, not that it matter much with a shitty script, but still.

Amy Adams is no where near the problem with MoS or BvS. She is given shit scripts/direction and makes due with it. Her age is irrelevant and you complaining that it took you out of the movie is extraordinary to me. Out of all the things weird/eccentric/wrong with those two movies, her age paired next to Cavill's broke the submersion? Incredible.

Yeah given all the movies with men in their 40s and 50s and women in their 20s and 30s I don't think this is even remotely an issue.

I'm sure a lot of people with this attitude also go "oh, why haven't I seen such-and-such actress in awhile? She was so good in that one movie."

Having Lois look older than Clark would be pretty accurate considering that sometimes Clark ages at slower rate than humans.

But seriously, Amy Adams is fine in the role. I don't see why you need a younger looking woman in the role.

the fuck's this shit?
Out of all the problems in those movies, casting Amy Adams isn't one of them.

This is ageism, son. Amy looks gorgeous. Hell, Snyder's Supes is lucky he can land her considering how mopy and charmless he is.
