Why is Excitetruck so DAMN AWESOME?

Just S ranked Super excite and
MIRROR
is mine. It gives you a mutha fukin
MONSTER TRUCK
if you get all the paint jobs. **** YEAH.

Challenge also has super excite type scheme, gate mode is double excellent. God this game beats the ever loving shit out of sonic for every aspect of awesome, including fast and EXCITING sense of speed.

sonic = wonky control
excite truck = perfect control

somebody hurry up and make f-zero or mario kart with a wiimote control this well implemented and put online in there. I swear I would start just peeing into a jug instead of leaving the tv.

Just rented this yesterday and S-ranked Excite mode. Got a 49 tree run on my first time through the Canada course and still didn't S it! :lol

If I didn't have a bunch of work to do, I'd be playing Super Excite right now...

Just did all the first difficulty on S. Now I want to run through the streets punching people in the face whilst shouting EXCITE EXCITE EXCITE!!!!!

I just bought my first game based on GAF hype and damned if it wasn't EXCITEing. My girlfriend and I have been playing for hours straight the last days and she (a future nongamer) is loving it and is getting S-ranks all the time!
 
I ordered EXCITE TRUCK and its been shipped. I should have EXCITE TRUCK on EXCITEMonday!!!!!!!!

You'll need patience. I HATED it at first. But after a few hours of screwing around, I can honestly say I was wrong. It's really fun.

So I must apologize to GAF and Nintendo for trolling this game. It kicks ass.

More Wii games NEED to support custom soundtracks. There's nothing quite like barreling down the road and crashing into other cars all to the sound of "1979."
 
This is probably the most under-rated Wii game (review wise not GAF wise). This game ***ing owns. It may not have the best graphics or music but damnit it is one of the most fun games I've ever played.

My own experience is not so different. It was the game I got at launch, and control felt very awkward. Wii Sports definitely got the attention. Each time I return to it, though, things seem more natural, and I pick up a few more S rankings. Still haven't quite gotten air spinning yet, though. I'm to the point where I can usually do it, but I wonder "Why did I bother to do that and get one star, when I could've focused on getting a longer jump and earned the star in extra air time instead?"

Well I've unlocked
MIRROR
and the
Monster Truck
, now all there is left to do is, unlock the last truck.

I did a 2160 spin several times. EXCITE
 
6 tracks left to s-rank on
mirror
, but with the
Monster Truck
unlocked I'm afraid I may run out of truck to be excite about. Any other Wii games that offer either this level of addiction or excite?
 
So I've rented this game and so far I'm liking what I've found. You know, this is the kind of game that you love while playing, but when you think of it, it doesn't look that hot. I mean, while playing, you can hardly think anything, you're just blasting through everything and blinking an eye in the wrong moment can mean death. It's so intense.

Besides, I don't see where the control complaints came from. The game is very intuitive, and except for the spinning motion which feels a bit akward, everything controls pretty nicely. There's this sense of not being under control, but it adds to the experience.

I'd like to have more contact with rival cars, but then again, it's not like you get bored without them :lol

Now, this is the first time when I miss a SD card, music is awfull.
 
Goddamit, I still can't find this for rental anywhere. Every time someone talks about the this game I can't help but feel the incredible EXCITE.

Maybe I should just buy it and trust that I will be overwhelmed by EXCITE like everybody else.
 
I was JUST about to bump this thread too.

Completed Super EXCITE mode just now. All that's left is getting S rankings on Mirror mode.

All games need custom soundtracks. Excite Truck is 1000x better than it already is (and it's already pretty damn EXCITEing), when you have your own music playing in the background.
 
I tried to find this thread the other day but couldn't. Anyways, all I am playing is mother f*cking Excite Truck. I have Hotel Dusk, Godfather, Sonic, and Killer 7 just gathering dust because I pretty much got all these games around the same time but Excite Truck is too awesome.

I was not aware of this. Do you simply need to unlock all the cars then unlock the paint job for each one?
 
You get icons by doing the challenges.

So far, I've found the Wasp to be the best truck in the game. Which makes sense as it's the last normal one to unlock. Don't think I'd like the others though, with their slow handling.

Looking to get either ET, Wario Ware, or SSX Blur... Can't buy them all, since I'm saving money for Chocobo Tales, and Super Paper Mario this month.
Which one shall it be GAF?

Buy Far Cry/Open Season for $20 each.

Go to Gamestop, trade them in for ET (and do the same thing later for SPM).

I know it requires going to Gamestop, but a $40ish ET/SPM isn't bad. The deal works for any two Wii games outside of Wii Sports, so just find some cheap ones somewhere (and I think those two are the cheapest).
