R0nn said:Capcom: What they did this gen was simply fuckawesome. They put out so much quality stuff, it's insane! Many titles were even totally new franchises and some existing ones got completely revamped, so it's not like they simply milked all their stuff to drought. Sure, there were some definite stinkers in between (most recently Final Fight: Streetwise and Beatdown: Fists of Vengeance), but all in all, Capcom was probably the best developer of all this gen.

Sony Computer Entertainment: Another developer/publisher with some great and unforgettable output. Many new franchises, not all of them equally good, but they definetly put out some serious quality this gen. Sony's internal studios are consistenly improving themselves, which has lead them to reaching a high quality first party output. It's one of the few developers which has more than one 'greatest game of the generation' title in it's line-up. I'm really looking forward to their PS3 output.

Ubisoft: In the vein of the previous two companies. Both a publisher and developer of many of the better titles this gen. They really innovated with some of those games, though that got a bit blurred with the number of sequels they churn out. Luckily, the overall quality hardly ever suffers from this policy. Now with the next-gen around the corner, they shine all over again. Though the company has some similarities with EA, their overall quality is clearly better.

Konami: Arguably not as good a Japanese developer as Capcom, but they do have some big, high quality franchises which they put out succesfully this gen. As a fan of the MGS and Silent Hill series, this developer is quite dear to me. But other than that, they are one of the best game companies this gen anyway. Next-gen looks promising for them as well, if only for MGS4.

Nintendo: Well, what to say about Nintendo? Even though their quality has dwindled this gen compared to their past efforts, they are still going strong. Just look at this line-up, it's HUGE and all quality stuff. IntSys was their best internal developer this gen, with EAD clearly performing under par. Things are picking up again though with the advent of Nintendo DS and Revolution. If Nintendo puts serious effort into it, they could become the arguably best developer of all again.

Lucasarts today sucks badly. And I am saying this as a insanely obsessed Star Wars fan who worships the prequels.segatavis said:Wow... you're going to put up a logo of LucasArts and then not say why you think they are so awesome? You have to be joking.
LucasArts is NOT awesome. They are a vastly different company now than they used to be.
Unless you are talking about the good old days, in which case, I forgive you.
To be honest, I haven't played it enough to decide. That list represents the games I've enjoyed from Nintendo... games I didn't enjoy aren't on the list.PuertoRicanJuice said:Super Mario Strikers, while it could've been much better IMO, is an unbelievably fun game. It's so addictive.

I played the hell out of Shinobi 3 back in the day and i enjoyed the first Shinobi game for PS2, but it's not that big a series. Aside from the follow-up to the PS2 Shinobi and the Shinobi game for the Sega Saturn, what else is there? And speaking of the Saturn Shinobi game, how was that one? That's the only Shinobi game that i never really got a chance to play.JavyOO7 said:Sega: for the Shinobi series alone... okay, throw in Sonic Adventure 2, because I adored that from beginning to end as well.
