That wasn't the impression I got at all. I thought Bernie had a majority of the support on GAF.
Not in the threads I read.

The idea is that all posters are supposed to feel comfortable here unless your ultimate goal is to make people uncomfortable with your posts. Being highly moderated doesn't automatically equal being exclusionary. There's no purity tests in these parts.NeoGaf is not inclusionary. It's a tightly controlled membership with frequent bannings and fairly strict rules (in comparison). It's definitely exclusionary. I like it the way it is, but it's not inclusionary at all.
Maybe he did, but they weren't as vocal about it that's for sure- I remember at a poll Sanders actually did come on top, but the Hillary supporters are more consistent in their involvement in political threads (same faces and whatnot) whereas the average Sanders supporter would drop a comment here and there but not participate as much in the discussion. That wasn't the impression I got at all. I would assume the registration process + strict moderation weeds out the far-right.
Because right wingers get banned more often?
It's really not. It just doesn't shut down diversity, which is basic human decency.
It's not really far left.
Look at Bernie and Hillary threads.

Hillary Clinton is not far-left.
I'm not American but how do both sides have that big of a belief in God? I've never understood why the President needed to believe in God to be elected. Seems really dumb that people won't vote for someone just for being sensible.
I don't think inclusiveness and open mindedness are a left thing. And neither is college education, like some would suggest. The right is not defined by bigotry.
I do think however that there is the illusion of under representation, because when you're having fun with someone, you assume they're just like you. There are plenty of Republicans on this forum, they're just not the Confederate flag wieling, brain dead stereotypes you think they should be.
Simply because the mods are far left.
Perhaps because gamers are mostly younger people? Though of course not all the young people think the same

I would say that several of us are much more left leaning than we let through in moderation. And some of us aren't. As a result of policy, NeoGAF is center left at best. This is exactly it, simple and concise.
Is there a site that's futher left than this, that you could give an example of?
I feel like this site is ultra progressive/left.
From an American POV it might be far left, but from a European POV it's more like centre-left. Being inclusive and anti-racist/anti-bigotry/anti-discrimination isn't far left, it's being a decent human being.

NeoGAF is not far left. Only a few loudmouthed posters may be, but think about it: most of us abhor things like socialism. Even someone like Bernie Sanders, who is not that far on the left to begin with, is looked unfavorably here.
Because being an atheist/agnostic in public office kills your approval rating. So politicians constantly talk about faith to win religious people over. It's really stupid.
Pretty much this.I assume because the moderation makes an attempt to make a place welcoming for gamers of all genders/sexuality/ethnicity/races/etc? They're much less tolerant of bigotry than elsewhere.
