wii U discs have round edges. #gamechanging with comfort.

Wait what? What discs don't have rounded edges?

Can someone post a comparison?...

I'm not I get the whole "Apple suing in 3-2-1" stuff. Do Apple have a patent for rounded edge discs or something?

I'm not sure why I have to explain this joke... It's because Apple currently has a design patent on rectangles with rounded corners. The joke is a play on that (since the disc has rounded edges)

I'm pretty sure that I never realized that discs didn't have rounded edges before this thread and I must have handled thousands in my lifetime.

::digs out some games::

huh, no kidding. It does feel kind of nice. It's bendy in a different way, too. It's like, I don't know, slighty softer feeling or something. If that makes sense. Not as stiff.

Some guy has some less than nice things to say about it:

ou would think that one of the priorities for Nintendo, would be to reduce the size of the power pack from the Wii, to the Wii U.

However, it appears that they have done the opposite, as you’ll see in the video that the console requires a gigantic power block, which really does no favors to the overall style of the console. We’re sure we speak for many gamers in saying that a big grey power block wasn’t really supposed to be a talking point about the Wii U, and although some of you may say that it doesn’t really matter – we think it does.

If smartphones are cutting back on size and weight on each release, why can’t we see the same with Nintendo’s big power blocks? There’s even a fairly sizable second power block, which is required for the GamePad as well.

Discuss. Are you offended by its girth?

See this is why sometimes the new news = new thread rule can backfire badly. Lottttttta shit Wii U threads clogging up the forum at the mo.

If people just let the shit threads die, we'd be fine. But instead they are kept at the top of the forum by people posting how outraged they are at the number of WiiU threads and how this one doesnt justify a new thread.

I'm pretty sure some BD and PS3 games have round edges too.

Halo 4 Disc 1 is also a bit round edged.

Kinda OT, but how cool were the black PS1 discs?
