True but as an investment it could locked out EA on the FPS front when it comes to the Wii U from the very beginning. Build up a ton of goodwill so when it comes to first person shooters Wii U owners will only consider Activision first and perhaps Ubisoft second if ZombiU takes off (or that could just be limited to survival horror and they could potentially overshadow Capcom on the system).

That's a good thought but I think it may be a little to risk/reward for Activsion tastes. Though I'm with you. It would give them a bunch of goodwill for say the new Bungie game or what have you. In my opinion, just getting a non nuetured version of Call of Duty on Nintendo is a huge step in the right direction. Even without extras or freebies.

Well, last year, there were a few Black Friday sales here in the UK (I took advantage of Amazon's and Apple's offers), but it was nowhere near as big as the US.

12/12/12 launch would probably be useful for marketing purposes (as an easy to remember launch date), and from what I've heard the Wii U is far from being released in two months time.

I have another easy to remember launch date: 2012 2012, ie 20 December 2012, although I really, really hope they don't go for this

Wii came out in early December for Japan and Europe, so perhaps that will be repeated with the Wii U.
