I am genuinely concerned for all of my Virtual Console titles I've purchased on my Wii-U. Nintendo hasn't said a lick about this as we move into the Switch generation, have they?
This will be a very rare and expensive collectors item. Sell them at your peril.
Some classics may never leave the system.
Imagine something as rare as the virtual boy but with amazing multi-year library.
The Nintendo exclusives are so polished, unique, and fun. Nothing on PS4 or Xbox or PC even can compare in terms of quality, gameplay, and fun factor (in my opinion).
If you want to preserve the Gamepads life please charge it and remove the battery pack. The Gamepad can't be turned off and constantly drains the battery which could kill it for being in a critical low-power state.

Thanks Better-Dreamcast.
Entirely predictable that this thing would fail. Most people knew it from the moment it was unveiled. Who was this console for really?
Im sure it will not,its fucking Zelda even if they want to sell the Switch version too they wouldn't dare release both at the same time if they didn't had expectations for the Wii UI can only hope this doesn't imply Zelda will be difficult to find for the system.
Godspeed you tiny, crazy, poorly sold console.
That's because they aren't linked to your account, they are linked to the unit, you're not holding onto those games for the Switch, there is a reason they haven't said anything, they'll expect you to buy them again.
lol
DC has a line-up 10x better than Wii U....
People who wanted to play video games.
WiiU was an amazing system. Unfortunately internal Nintendo politics lead to brand confusion. Even with that it featured what I would call some of Nintendo's best work. Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8 are arguably the best installments in their respective series. Splatoon and Mario Maker showcased the systems strengths.
To many people got hung up on the game pad as the majority of games could be played with the Pro Controller(easily my favorite controller so far). Topping out at around 200+ games in the US, some with really low print runs will cause the many titles to get to Sega Saturn levels of cost/rarity in a few years.
The past few months I've been picking up titles to round out my library. I have about 20 titles left to go until I have what I feel is worth having.
Current titles selling for more than they should are:
Wiiu Sports (low print run)
Mario and Sonic at Rio (recalled)

I bought it because I liked the Wii and I was gullible enough to expect betterment after its horrid reveal and launch year. Unfortunately it only turned out to be my worst vg related purchase ever made. It was a drought machine with many of Nintendo's most uninspired and lazy titles to date. It's the first console to turn prejudices like "zero 3rd party games" or "Nintendo's only rehashing ideas" into a harsh reality. It completely turned me off being the company's fan within a single generation. In theory it should have been impossible to make something this bad after having dominated the market with 2 devices only a few years earlier. I don't know what happened, but looking at the Switch, they apparently haven't sorted it out yet.
Lol Best comment of the whole threadDeclaring the Wii U dead now is like finding a skeleton in a forest and stopping to check its pulse.
My favorite console this gen, I just love everything about it. It was just too beautiful and weird for this world :')
To be fair, as great a Bloodborne is as a game, it certainly doesn't have the universal "fun factor" that many Nintendo games do. Particularly those that are family friendly and can be played by "casuals" just as well. That's a bizarre opinion to have when Bloodborne nails everything about being a fantastic video game and Gravity Rush 2 has the most unique and best traversal mechanics in gaming.
Poorly conceived console.
But damn, the exclusives are something else.
I've had more fun with it than my ps4.
