WildStar: Reloaded |OT| Full Steam Ahead!

If you make your character on the PvP server can you play with it on the PvE server afterwards? or is it one character per server?

tried to log in again, logged in with no issues, even had no lag in game... and then imediatly crashed and now cant log in lol. EU servers went down maybe?

think ill just continue my 13 Medic, its my favorite class I think, even if everyone and their mother on EU plays Medic.

I thought everyone and their mother plays Aurin Esper?

Also, why isn't the doc in the OP?

yeah I was looking for the doc. and yeah Esper is the other one everyone plays. I would "force" myself to play a tank (would have to be a engi tho because I dont do melee) but lets be honest, I dont know how long people will last...hell I dont know how long ILL last with this, so I think ill just play what I actually want and have fun for however long I last

Is there a way to use the new mouse movement on idle too and have a keybind to disable it so i can click on a quest temporarily or something

There're keybinds to do either a toggle or a hold to disable. I believe by default the backtick key (`) is set to hold to disable. So you just hold down ` and the mouse cursor will appear and you can click as normal. Also, any UI window that pops up will toggle mouselook off so you can hit 'i' for inventory and the mouse cursor will appear as long as that window is open. Fair warning, I played around with it this morning and it still feels a bit buggy. It 'remembers' where the mousecursor last was so mouseover elements still popup erroneously but otherwise I really really like mouseover mode. Feels more and more like the action game I've wanted in an MMO.

I know what you mean. I want to force myself to play a medic seeing as how there'll no doubt be countless people playing DPS in dungeons but like, being the only medic on my team I'm kind of scared I'll mess up some how.

I'll keep with my Aurin Esper though.

I wish I could save a character name at least. :(

Oh well, I did snag the last $5 copy of the game at the GS near me so there's that.

Made my character on the PvP server because this game seems inherently less fun on a PvE server.

I'd like to play with GAF, but if the decision was made for everyone to play PvE because the PvP server will die then it is what it is. Seems like a self fulfilling prophecy to me.

Geez, did some reading and I understand what many here feared about rolling on the PvP server.

Oh well, not like I invested anything but an hour or two in to the game. Glad I found out sooner than later.

Got in game right as the servers came up by just throwing together a character fast to get logged in. Went to change characters and make a proper one only to meet the hourglass of doom again.

I'm going to just go back to SWTOR for my MMO fix tonight to continue working on stuff before 4.0 and see how Wildstar is doing tomorrow.

As a total noob to this game, can someone give me a quick overview of the various available classes? I've played WoW (Shaman, Rogue), Guild Wars (Ranger), and SWTOR (Inquisitor), so as you can see I generally like ranged classes and stealth classes. However I'm also down to try a mage class if there's a fun one.

Any tips/advice on which class to choose?

Any tips/advice on which class to choose?

Warrior - the standard warrior class, uses a 2handed sword but can tank. Has a wrist wepon that shoots grappling hooks and shit to pull enemies

Stalker - the stealth / rogue class. Can also tank

Engineer - the pet class. mid range dps or tank. can have 2 pets out, uses a shotgun

Spellslinger - the mage of the game, although its more of a cowboy. uses 2 guns and has a variety of shots and stuff, charge shots, aoe shots, etc. Heals by shooting people if you go healer.

Esper - the second healer, uses psychic manifestations as attacks and heals, such as psychic birds, knives, blades etc. Can also summon temporary psychic pets (which go away after a few seconds, not like the engineer with its permanent pets)

Medic - the third healer, uses 2 guns and does a variety of matrix-y / tech looking spells both to attack and heal. Dont let the name fool you, they pump out serious dps if you go that route

as you see there are no pure classes in the game, every one can be either a tank or dps, or a healer or dps

If everyone has to wait in a queue regardless, the paying customers are definitely the ones getting the shit end of the stick.

I imagine they'll up the capacity as they sort out the issues they have. The servers are already running into issues with lag and letting people create characters and such. Letting more people in would just exacerbate things.

Welp, it's my first time being in a queue. 3500 more players to go.
Is the timer accurate?

I've been in queue for about 20 minutes now. It started at 1:20 wait time now it's down to 34 minutes. I don't think the timer is very accurate.

Subscribers wait in their own separate queue with other subscribers that's significantly faster, though.

not only do I not think thats true, just the fact that subs have to wait at all is ridiculous. How are companies STILL not prepared for these relaunches, in 2015, is beyond me
