WildStar: Reloaded |OT| Full Steam Ahead!

Excellent! New character creation worked for me straightaway this time! I was almost ready to let it sit for another night in hopes they'd fix that issue, but I guess I'll be playing instead :)
 
In one of my mystery promo bags I got a Snarfelynx mount.. though I'm really looking for a Glitter Kitty Cruiser hoverboard. Did anyone get an extra one they'd like to trade?

Disappointing, I hope he/she continues it. It's so much better than the default Wildstar UI.
 
The mount "add ons" is one of the best things I've seen on mmos in years. I have no idea if mounts or these add ons are easy to get or not tho
 
just made my characters. one on a pve and one on a pvp but i cant connect. says lost connection to world server. are servers down or something?

edit: was able to get into a queue for the pve server. LOL no thanks. i guess ill wait a month or two so i dont have to wait 4 hours to get in maybe 1 hour of playtime.
 
If you are in Queue, hit "change realm" click you realm and you should bypass the queue, it may take a try or two, but it's been working for me

I tried Low level BG and killing people takes ages. worse if there is healer. I can see the damage/heal ratio being fun in arena but not in Low level random BG. The first low level BG is loads of fun though.

I was trying to create an account earlier. Unfortunately, their stupid re-captcha wouldn't work with Chrome. I ended up using Internet Explorer of all things. o_O It gave a ton of Java warnings, but it worked.

Then I couldn't sign in to the client. I did a bunch of research, and the password I created was too long. Eh?

Finally got the client up to date (download was easy) and tried to create a character - infinite character create freeze bug.

Then they brought the servers down for a hotfix.

After that, I was able to create a character and make it through the tutorial.

They dropped me to the main planet... and now I'm in the same situation, I lose connection after a minute or two.
 
Now I can't do an instance because after the second cutscene, the game brings me back but won't let me move. It's happening to other people in my groups as well.
 
Finalized my character creation, hit "Enter Game" and now it seems to be hanging here infinitely. I hope I don't have to redo character creation.

We had this happen to someone in our group too. They had to log out and log back in to fix it.

Yeeeah.... make sure you save your character's code during the creation process. It tends to lock up there for a lot of people. :(
 
I dont know wtf people are saying 1 server...theres 2 sever

this is all NA...and Warhound has no queue time.

everyone trying to get into Entity because of obvious reasons.

The person I quoted was talking about PvE servers. There's only one PvE server. Most people here are not interested in PvP servers, anyway.

I managed to get my Chua Major Ziggs to level 3 before the maintenance a few hours ago was announced. Apparently the game saved the name for me at some point last night during the anti-character creator shenanigans.

I actually want to redo his hair but I will probably just pay for the barber later unless character creator becomes more reliable before level 10 or so.. Tried to make a granok medic so i will have a toon for both sides but it was still janky. Maybe it got saved, mabe not.

game seems pretty fun overall, although I have no mods and need to see if i can make the text look a bit more legible on my TV. I also don't understand much at all about my Spellslinger moves. Didn't want to touch the tier selection cause i was afraid about locking into something i didn't want (I assume there's some kind of reroll option available?).

Will have to look at Spellslinger healing guides later.

Hmm, too bad MMOs don't do FFA pvp these days. :( Ah well, I'll give it a shot.

Is there actually any world PvP that goes on, aside from the random encounter in higher level zones?
 
Yeah low level BGs are obnoxious because no one ever dies. It gets better at higher levels, especially when people are PVP spec for that sweet healing reduction.
 
So if I figure out how to play on US, is it exiles or Dominion?

Need to know if I'm to make a sexy zombie or a sexy robot

What did you do to get it working? This is the issue I'm stuck on right now. I type in my character name and hit enter and it's just an endless hourglass.
 
I think I'll just try again tomorrow. The game is unplayable right now. Literally 3+ seconds for abilities to even start casting after pressing the hotkey.
 
I really like the combat I think but I can't even do solo dungeons without huge lag emptiness. One second I'm using my abilities fine, then the next enemies are hitting me and staying in one area, I can't use abilities, and I'm able to move around with the enemies seeming as if I hadn't moved at all. This happens all the time. My ping was 20ms. If the servers really are in Texas I'm super close to them. What the heck is going on, Wildstar is getting hammered so much that lag spikes like this are happening?

Also where do I sign up for the guild?

I have a alt but I'll just see how things go with Plois and wait until people stop playing the game, maybe I'll redo him for the other faction.
 
If they don't fix this fast (in the next day or two) they are already DOA (again) in my opinion. We wait 1 or 2 days and try and try again to get in, but the average joe will just get annoyed and uninstall and move on to something else.

Hell I've done it with steam games for example. Doesn't work? kk bye bye on to the next in the stupid big backlog.
