WildStar: Reloaded |OT| Full Steam Ahead!

I just did my first instance, which was super fun. Group finder worked quickly and flawlessly, no lag whatsoever, fun level design, and good XP. All around good stuff.

I did notice that I was misclicking a lot more than I normally do when I'm out questing, mainly because everything is so much more hectic in an instance. I'm wondering if it's worth switching to mouse look and binding the first two attacks to the left/right mouse buttons, but I don't want to give up the ability to pan the camera around and view my character when I get new gear.
 
My first run of Academy we wiped 3 times on the first boss, then twice on the last boss. I had to set two interrupts just so we could get through it, lol.

yeah...with all of the server restarts, crashes, lag, bad playing, etc yesterday I had to try the Academy about 5 times and the last boss a lot more than that to even get through it once

you definitely need people to actually pay attention on when to interrupt to succeed there
 
Tried Engineer, didn't really like it, but then I tried Warrior and it was much better.
Fun thing is I am usually a mage player in RPG, but you can't pick Esper as a Granok, so I'll play Warrior for some time.
 
how important are paths anyway? because im really bummed out I went Explorer (for whatever reason, Ive always been picking science and soldier, wtf was I thinking) on my Esper whos now 17 and I really cba to reroll

does it even affect your skills in anyway later on?

oh well, my Esper is now 17 at least, catching up to my medic. Also, I went Explorer and now im too high to reroll

So Entity 1 is till getting lag hampered glad I'm on Entity 2 then haha.

We just have a circle on Entity 2 its called Gather all Fajitas it has the same layout to see whos online like a guild you just don't have to fiddle with guild exp or anything I'm about to log in if you wanna leave your name I can invite you.
 
Are these "estimated wait times" anywhere near accurate? I know they're estimates but saying 7 minutes and 30 minutes later nothing has is a little goofy.

I know it's extremely early to say but can we call the Wildstar relaunch a smashing success for Carbine? I don't remember this kind of reception when Wildstar first launched and that launch went much more smoothly in terms of lags and server issues. On Reddit I'm seeing tons of new players' posts who say are falling in love with the game for the first time. It seems to already have so much more exposure and good press than the original launch ever did. I can tell you I've already spent more money on this relaunch than I did on the original launch(between buying 5-6 boxed copies for myself and a couple rounds of NCoins). I really hope this works out for them in the long run because it's truly one of the most refreshing MMOs in awhile. You can really tell a lot of love has gone into the game for a long time, and it probably just took a year after release to "finish" production.

You get quests that lead to them, or something like that. The Shiphands (now called Expeditions, just like the housing dungeons, wut?) are normally found at random places throughout the zone. It's normally a ship with a NPC beneath who will hand you a quest to do the shiphand. Can be off the road or even in a town, that just depends. But if you do all quests in a zone you normally get at some point a quest that sends you to the dungeon/adventure. But with the reduced requiered EXP that might happen after you've already outleveld a dungeon/adventure.

Good, I was worried when I got moved from the wilds to another zone without much warning. Lol I should probably stop playing when I'm kinda tired, only lvl 7 though.

Also are you guys using number keys or mouse clicking icons?

An hour before I would say excellent (no lag), but at 8:30 on eu Luminai-2 a lag party started. Unplayable. I guess we reached max capacity.

The game is fun, I've looked for a mmorpg with fun combat and this is it. Some things remind me too much of grinding fests but that comes with the genre... Quite innovative with quests and the combat.

Here's my current costume for my engineer, a bit of an armored-knight look for him. Costuming is way too addicting in this game, it's just so flexible and great.

For me, I'm wanting to craft high level equipment. Armor, weapons, I don't exactly know yet.

Edit: Gonna try Weaponsmith and Mining first.

I think something is weird with the temporary servers as usually you can group cross-server, but I tried with someone and it wasn't allowing us to. Circles are having the same issue.
 
After an hour of deleting and remaking and deleting and remaking all my characters, I have now settled on the following:

Cassian Spellslinger
Cassian Engineer
Human Stalker
Aurin Esper
Granok Warrior

I tried to grab 3 different Exile races, but none of the Dominion races really appealed to me so I just stuck with Cassians there. Gonna go make some food and then I'll jump on to do some leveling. Hopefully I can play/chat with some gaffers when I get on.
 
I gotta time my logins better lol. Hopefully there will be someone later tonight so I can get in. Unless Entity 2 is that much better lag wise atm.
