Will Spotify ever come to Xbox One and Switch?

This was a pretty big reason for me cancelling my subscription (along with the lackluster selection of music). Pretty ridiculous that it isn't available on all devices.

I'd rather Apple Music because that's were my sub is (free mobile streaming). Fat fucking chance I'll see that on Xbox though but a man can dream.

Apple are making a W10 app so actually its really quite likely to show up on Xbox.

It's quite weird to see Apple actually supporting other platforms.

One of the biggest disappointments with Xbox One for me; no Spotify or Amazon Music. For an 'all in one entertainment system from Microsoft' it's pretty fucking lame.

I play the shit out of it for games though so I suppose it does what it's REALLY supposed to do. I just hate the contradiction and I'd love to play my music on it.

I guess they owe them for giving Macs Office. It would be rad if it happened for sure.

Shitty but seems unlikely or at least not anytime soon given they effectively killed there service to go into this "partnership".

Edit -

I see am lttp with this.

And fuck last gen Microsoft for keeping HBO out of PS3 users reach for the duration of the gen, and Netflix for the first half of the gen. They sowed the seeds, and now they reap the results. Unfortunately, some of the users end up getting screwed either way.
Never knew that

Microsoft still has the exclusive rights to the Comcast Xfinity streaming Apps for consoles, so it's not like they are angels anyway.

Edit: not that Comcast are either.

iTunes (Apple Music) is coming to the Windows Store.

DoesnÂ’t that include Xbox as well?

Like the Spotify app on the store, I'd bet it's probably just the regular win32 app wrapped via the desktop bridge, meaning it won't run on mobile/Xbox yet (non-desktop platforms only run native UWP apps, which would require rewriting the entire thing almost from scratch).

Blame here is on Spotify not Playstation.

A third party app this popular really shouldn't be shitting on their customers by deciding one console is worthwhile.

Typical business nowadays. I just got a samsung vr and have been watching netflix on it. Checked to see if hbovr was available to watch game of thrones, find out its google exclusive. Its a cuttthroat world out there.

Which Samsung phone do you have? They just brought Daydream to some Samsung phones.

This deal for sony is so good that sony is actually the one getting paid.. hmm.
That's Sony Music. They're the second biggest record label, so of course Spotify is paying them in order to get access to their catalog (for Spotify). That's one huge advantage that Sony has in their Spotify negotiations that Microsoft doesn't: they actually provide a hell of a lot of the actual content that Spotify is selling.

Maybe he's just got a dev kit and is running the Win 10 app :(
You appear playing Social if you're running stuff in dev mode - at least, on a retail console. I'm pretty sure devkits are connected to a different Xbox Live than retail kits. They were on 360 for sure. So it's probably real.

Seems inevitable. Spotify wants to spread its wings as far as possible because of Apple Music. Limiting themselves to one console is just stupid for the long term.
