Gamings worst fanbase, the souls community.
The Souls community is possibly the best fanbase in all gaming.
I would've given up on Demon's Souls if it wasn't for how much everyone helped me.

Guys, what about a minimap? I sometimes get lost in the woods.

Welp. This, race, and people with physical disabilities used as a shield all in one thread about... Bloodborne?
What the fuck is happening in here
This reminded me of all the people that complain about dying to The One Reborn and then having to walk all the way back to the boss, when there's a shortcut that takes you from the first bonfire to the boss in less than a minute (you were talking about his exact shortcut in your post, right?)
And then some people were like "how i was supposed to know that?". Well, "Explorin'! Dah!"

what's happening is, we're seeing what the effects of having an easy-mode implemented would elicit from Bloodborne fans; and the response has been a rather aggressive "No.".
there is no game series that you could add an easy mode to, that would make me this upset.
again, people assume that someone either doesnt like Bloodborne, or that theyre not good enough at it, and that isn't the case at all, i interjected only after witnessing the extremely dogmatic stances people took.
Are you trying to get yourself banned?I've already played Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2, the only reason why I haven't played Demon Souls and Bloodborne is only because of them being console exclusives. I would never play an easy mode on these games even if it was implemented. But don't let the facts get in the way of you being a shit posting autist.
One of many...lol. Another would be the Forbidden Woods and its two elevators. I felt the waypoint lanterns were very sparse in that level. Yet you could access the top and bottom half of the level extremely quickly by using those elevators once you had the other operating. If one was having trouble with the Shadow of Yharnam, they could be at the fog gate again in less than a min, provided you dashed past everything after taking both elevators.
What did any of that have to do with ableism and racism? Pretty sure no post in this thread said "No, if this game was easy all these disabled people could play it" or "No, black people might enjoy it too." No one here was arguing based on perceived ineptitude with Bloodborne/Souls in either of the affected groups. It was an incredibly misguided interjection.what's happening is, we're seeing what the effects of having an easy-mode implemented would elicit from Bloodborne fans; and the response has been a rather aggressive "No.".

And if you're trying to pin the aggression on the disagreement with easy mode, I'll point out to you the other side of that argument actually started using ableist language calling another member "shit posting autist."
Pick it up. Seriously, I'm terrible at action games and I enjoyed this game. Simply, take it slow in new areas, bait new enemy types into an attack, grind a bit, and play some co-op. It is a blast.Thank you guys.
I'm still torn on whether I'd enjoy it. Maybe I'll pick it up when it goes really cheap.
Actually there is even better shortcut in Forbidden Woods (atleast I think it is better). It is the door you open near the SoY arena.
wh-what
No.Well a few noob questions
Is there a change in stats when you are dead?
Why cant i level up pshycal def. When giving souls?
The game says i dont have the attributes to weild certain weapons correctly, what to do?
Where i can find the stone for the blacksmith?
Pleease 😦
wh-what
Holy shit I didn't know this either! Thanks. Gonna try it next time. From the elevator don't go left to the second elevator but just run down the path. There is a drop almost straight to the boss area but you need to open the door from the other side so that you can use it. It is super easy run and faster than using the elevators. Not by much but still.
Best to ignore it. It was a dumb aside we're mostly lingering on due to how misguided and out of place it was. You're right to be baffled and it's probably best to move on.Wait wat
What the heck with the racism and disabled people talk, wat
I'm a bit tired, I think, I don't follow everything.

This thread is amazing. People are explaining the same shit over and over again, and yet some people completely ignore that and bring up the same qeustions over and over again, just to ignore the answer they're getting.

Inst that the dude you kill him pretty early? why is Hendryk there
No.
Every level adds to your defense, IIRC.
Level up to get to that stat if you want to use the weapon effectively. The stat thresholds are low in BB.
Enemies drop the stones and you find them in the world.
And holy shit this took a turn.
Nope
You can, with vitality and endurance
Read the small kinda misable icon on the weapon properties, it says the stats it scales
Blacksmith stones are scattered around places not in our "fun" path wait till next "Scholar of the first sin" on Bloodborne to put it right in your feet so you can wander off the road and get killed
Thanks! You are playing Dark Souls 2?
No change in stats aside from the small HP decrease.
I really don't remember how physical def and leveling works in DaS2.
When you look at the weapon info the stats that you have too low are in red. It shows the stats needed to wield them.
Stones are around the world and some enemies drop them. You will start getting them sooner or later.
I hope this helps even little.
I actually realized it on my 8th playthrough. It is really not that clear shortcut compared to others.
you keep bringing it up so lets talk about it
the line of thinking for not having a easy-mode under any circumstance, is pure dogma.

Just one little bit, how do you light up torches, and do those do anything? I remember getting something early at the first bonfire but who knows.
It'd be like having a limited allowed number of clicks per minute for Starcraft so it doesn't get too complicated for new players
Omg this thread! It's been quite entertaining to read.
One hell of a ride.Omg this thread! It's been quite entertaining to read.
I brought it up to tell you very clearly I don't want none. Not gonna indulge you more.you keep bringing it up so lets talk about it

It might not be fun in the way that blizzard intended, especially if they view high level play as integral to the starcraft experience.which would affect those playing on normal mode how?
lolI've never used a pungent blood cocktail or pebble like more than once.
Literally what do you gain once you play it on easy? Are you still able to suck in the atmosphere? Would you still be invested in the lore? An easy mode would make the combat trivial which is a huge part of the game. How much of it can you really enjoy if there was an easy mode?
this is for the person choosing easy-mode to decide, not the rabid and orthodox fanbase to decide for them.
I would like to add that a few people in this thread have set themselves up as summons and helped other people in the game. So they have in fact contributed to making the game easier for players who ask/need help. I wanted to reiterate this since people keep throwing the word hostile around.
And while I would like the game's enjoyment to be shared with more people, the player has to put in the effort themselves. As well, there is in fact an in game mechanic to dial the numbers in your favor, it's just not readily apparent or instantly accessible. (Blacksmithing) Though I don't know how that works in Bloodbourne.
Actually, it's for the people making the game to decide. And if you disagree, tough shit. Art is subjective and you don't have to like it.
