I'm enjoying it but the Witcher formula is kind of wearing on me. Not surprising since I've now put over 160 hours into the game. I also don't find it as compelling as Hearts of Stone, which is an amazing story with amazing characters. Best main quest of any Witcher game, in my opinion.
Except this DLC has more content than most full game/ full priced games being released atm.
You absolutely should. These expansions are basically games in their own rights. Like others have noted, Blood and Wine alone has more content and value than many full-priced titles out there.Ugh, I hate going back to games months after playing them -- that's why I can't really play DLC. But I loved the Witcher 3. Might have to make an exception for this.
Technically not, as there is an option you can select from the main menu that allows you to play only the expansions.I since had to transfer my files etc and lost my W3 save without ever having played the DLC packs...
Do I really start over again?
I have been thinking about buying the DLC.. I finished the base game at maybe around lvl 30-40 I can't remember. Do I have to do a new playthrough (would never happen) or can I boot up my saved game (I think it auto saves before the last boss) and jump into the DLC?
Slowly inching my way to level ~35 (currently 15), I can't wait to play Hearts of Stone/Blood and Wine!
Witcher 3+DLC is one of the greatest games i ever played in my 32 years of life and it will be a long time before another game can keep me glued until i finished everything like witcher 3 did.
B&W is the greatest farewell that the series could have got.
