It's a fair point here with Insomniac, Western developers and their recent track record. Seeing their onboarding videos for new employees, was a real head turner. It's a bigger issue than what the thread title is asking.

Spider-man 2 was an eye opener and it's sitll happening.

I just say don't buy the games if people are unhappy.

Global brands and IPs will always cater to the biggest audience possible. Being inoffensive is the easiest way to go. If you want thought-provoking stuff, big AAA productions are probably not the right choice. Same goes for movies. There is no conspiracy. It's just how stock-driven companies operate. That's why we're seeing the enshittification of everything. That's why streaming is slowly turning into cable TV again, etc.

But GAF loves to turn this into a culture war and regurgitate Alex Jones–type nonsense.
