Any one want to read this review and see if it is as crazy as the title?

In short, the world must be, yes, mansplained to the superhero by a character played by an actor who exudes all the charm of a hedge-fund analyst at last call.

The person I saw it with did point out after that "Chris Pine spent the whole movie mansplaining to Wonder Woman"... which is true, if your definition is just "a man explaining things to a woman". There's no condescension in the script or Pine's delivery, just some exasperation on Trevor's behalf mostly because they're dealing with serious and time sensitive issues. Didn't strike me or the person I was with as any kind of problem.

The misandry stuff is weird because the Amazons are more wary of 'men' as in humans, not men as in the male gender. There's some light ribbing of men and sexism, but it's all done quite well.

Weird review.

Despite Some Appealing Misandry, Wonder Woman Can’t Avoid A Mansplaining

https://www.villagevoice.com/2017/05...-mansplaining/
The mansplaining to Wonder Woman is the exact same stuff given to Captain America and Thor by women cause of the fish out of the water premise after Themyscira. There's really no misandry, just understandable mistrust of men's world and to keep Diana on the island fairytale style. All the ways that Diana raises her voice, rebels, and stands her ground against the sexist British men is great.

Ok just came out of the cinema and oh wow !

This movie was extremely good, not just by superhero movie standards but by any standards. DC has been trying to make more mature superhero movies compared to marvel but all their efforts have been quite shit with disjointed story, too much action, lots of shaky cam and quick cuts and also they all have a very bleak look that feels heavy on post processing (Suicide Squad included).

This movie avoids all of that, gives us a good origin story, clear action sequences, bit if drama and a bit of everything really.

Both Chris Pine and Gal Gadot are excellent in this film.

THR: Wonder Woman to have 95M+ US Debut
http://thr.cm/NgPkRi

So right now pre release tracking has the movie possibly making 95 million+.

But THR says WB is being very conservative and saying 65-70 millions because tracking has been unreliable.

I'm going to say around 85 million. But I don't know how much of a bump the reviews and good WOM can give it.

Don't blame them for being conservative at all.

I think possible 90 million. The movie is good and I'm pretty sure word of mouth will push it there.

So it's at 92% now, tied with Logan and The Avengers.

My predictions of low 90s/high 80s seem to be becoming true.
