Worst jobbers in comics and big screen?

Carol will lose to Princess Power

Spectrem will fuck up Dr.Spectrum

Ms.America will kick Blitz into another dimension.

I was already thinking of plot points for the Ultimates/Squadron Supreme crossover.

First page: Carol leaves the team, teammates respond with a resounding meh.
Second page: Adam recommends Ben Grimm as pilot.

Thanos literally has jobbing built into his very being. Sure he'll kill a few supes, but in the end he always, always, always catches that L.

No they need to be more stacked. Warlock becomes their new main mode of transportation.

The correct answer is Green Lantern.

That's not being a jobber. That's being a comic book villain. The villain always loses, no matter how powerful they are. Jobbing is losing to someone to make them look better or stronger, and Thanos doesn't do that too much from what I recall.

Most powerful weapon in the universe who's power relies on imagination and willpower and you think Geoffrey has the idea of who is the best lantern since he's a Hal fanboy who undid an amazing character only to ruin them both

like I said, making a bunch of Gundams is pretty and all but it proves squat.

Nah, I can name at least 5 horrible things that is inexcusable. And please, some of those characters have lost people they loved more than Sue and were able to think clearly enough to beat up the villain in their story.

For example, no matter how angry Wally is, doesn't mean he can't see the sword. It would be impossible for the sword to touch him let alone go through him. And Kyle would have used his anger by creating a wrecking ball or just putting Slade in a complex contraption (wrapped in chains, in a coffin, in a box).

Such a bad comic series. I love Slade but there is a reason why him fighting Batman is an awesome fight, not the whole JL with "prep" that any villain could make (nothing complicated like traps, beams, etc..).

but they didn't that time, they didn't that one time. that ONE time. ONE. is that such a hard concept to comprehend????
seriously. they aren't perfect and Slade took advantage for that brief moment. that's it, that's all he did. he didn't win. like I said you Wally and Kyle stans are something else. complain that the old guard was boring yet want to make your guys infallible.

What is up with those boots?

yo, don't knock the boots. those are cool.

who you think has it worse for hal, johns or ross?

shit, might gotta read this book

i read this as a Bendis defensive play at first, and it made sense

the man said greatest GL
you heard

new ring, girl in a fridge (shouts to gail simone), i mean...we all cope with things differently man

she didn't even thaw out man! like Carbone in Goodfellas. that's wrong. I think Kyle was glad Alex was dead. too scared to break up with her, wanted to move to NY, she was cramping his style, didn't want her making money off his image.
Major Force comes in and did him a favor. weaksauce. Parallax took him in five minutes, it took Hal 10 years and the death of his city to come undone. greatest Green Lantern my butt. give him all the rings, won't make a difference.

Galactus on the other hand....

Thanos jobs a p fair amount. He was relegated to side bitch for a while when I still read comics so his job was to be all big and bad then the real villains popped out and muah hah hah'd it up.

I mean every group has a jobber in it except the Bat family (TILL THE RUINED MY BOY TIM). It's impossible to name the biggest one. Wolverine and Scott take turns being the resident jobbers. Johnny Storm, anybody that's the first guy to fight Doom when he comes back from retirement/turning/the dead.

I don't think Okuyasu has a single win throughout DIU, even though his stand is crazy powerful.

Yeah, he is an idiot. He has the power to erase space and he uses it to teleport. Give this stand to anyone else and they are unstoppable.

He did win once though. He beat up Red Hot Chilli Peppers when the Stand user was hiding, but his idiocy allowed them to escape.

there are not many Namor fans in this forum; the only one I ever met was myself

Nice to meet you then, good ser.

Seriously, if you're going to kill off the first comic book anti-hero, at least don't let him go down like a chump against a chump. Let him go out against a worthy foe.

He deserved that shit, dude went around blowing up planets and shit with Thanos and his boys.
He was the only one with the balls to do the shit unlike hypocritical douches like Black Panther. Which is pretty in-character for Namor. ...But yeah, I have issues with Secret Wars.

The villains that show up in Marvel/DC are a horror show compared to what shows up in DBZ. Yamcha (and really that entire crew) would much rather be anywhere else.

Shit..black ant (an evil, replicant ant-man) got a dude to drink him, then expanded from the inside and exploded him into bloody chunks just for the lulz. Pym particles are broken as fuck and everyone seems to have them.

60s magneto was crazy weak bro. did you read that issue?
That Blank ant thing pretty much happened in DBZ, Majin buu turned himself into liquid and forcibly went down a guys throat until he exploded inside out. He tried it again on Vegito but, Vegito somehow withstood it and just started punching himself until Buu left his body.

Pretty much. As much as I love Araki, he has a nasty habit of underestimating Stands when he creates them, only realizing as he's going along that most battles become seriously warped if a certain someone is routinely fighting at full strength. It's the same reason why
Fugo made his exit halfway(ish) through Part V and Anasui got jobber duty in Part VI
.

Or the good guys

namor hasnt been a "good guy" in a long ass time

people try to give him a pass on a lot of his fuckery, but he got what was long coming to him by a bunch of characters he didnt even know

likewise

Namor was an asshole, but one I loved to read

He got lucky with Okuyasu because he wrote him as the bumbling well meaning idiot, but either way this is kind of what I like about JoJo after they introduced the stands. 80% of them are pretty much broken, but they way they get defeated is so over the top is funny.

Even the less powerful ones are interesting, like Koichi's sound based stand or "Survivor"

I don't disagree, but in Okuyasu's case his idiocy is a built in character limiter. It's called out how strong he could be if he put his mind to it.

your man bitched out when he couldnt deal with the fire he created. went to doom who told him to kick rocks, then proceeded to try to play both sides. bp and the crew may not have had the stones to kill billions of people, but at least they werent bitchmade while postering like they were the brave ones

namor getting scrubbed by a bunch of unknowns that he didnt see coming is a fitting end

There literally isn't a more perfect way to end him. His arrogance ended him, again. His bullshit inability to own up to himself killed him, again.

Dude is stupid flawed and deserves to catch L's for it.

I'm torn. While I was strongly Pro-BP and Anti-Namor in the past, reading SW #9 and Squadron Supreme #1 before that, I'm just thinking "Did he really destroy that world?"

It's so confusing. And the fact that he got killed by a former Avenger and his head was kicked by a petty whiner is horrible.

Fugo situation did not go down like it did because Araki didn't know what to do with him. Araki said himself he planned to bring him back as a villain and have Giorno kill him, but he was bummed out and got cold feet, knowing the fans would be disappointed with all that.
