NSMB wasn't it.
It was short, linear, the levels were uninspired and empty and there was little challenge. The blue shell sucked a big one too.
SMG just feels like Sunshine - decent game but nowhere near the classic 'replayable over and over again' nature of SMB3 or SMB4.
And that isn't nostalgia speaking - I spent more time hooked on SMB4 recently on a NY to London flight than I thought possible.
Wouldn't it be nice if Nintendo pumped some serious development might behind SMB5 Wii?
