Just like to come in and have a decent discussion without filtering through Gallant's ridiculous anime drawings, dumb gifs of Randy drooling on himself and dumb jokes that only a child would find funny. Bragging about the post count in a monthly thread that has little discussion outside of Mondays, occasionally Thursdays, Fridays and a PPV really isn't saying much. Aside from responses to dream's weekly Observer posting and the ocassional nostalgia WrassleGAF, there's hardly any discussion in here related to actual wrestling. Would rather just see the thread bumped for quality discussion than seeing it bumped for dumb joke post no. 9357 or whatever. As I said, I'm not the only one that shares this belief, just other people decide to quit coming in rather than contribute and filter through the garbage.

So aside from Mondays for Raw, Thursday for WCW, Fridays for Smackdown, PPVs, ROH, Observer, podcasts, random news throughout the week, Twitter comments, Nostalgia TV, Bootaaay's vids, random indy stuff, Repo Man Festivals, numerous other arguments, etc. etc., we don't have decent discussion.....

????????

I'm at a loss thinking of what else can be discussed in a manner you deem suitable that hasn't been beaten to death many times before.

But that's enough with the tomfoolery gents, allow me to steer this riveting discussion into a new direction. How do you think professional wrestling impacts the growth of the youth's mind's eye when dealing with the perception of violence to resolve conflict, and arrogant posturing toward his and/or her fellow man? Scintillating, indeed, wouldn't you agree?

He was pretty normal on Raw, wishful thinking but maybe the heel Cole is dead.

Like fuck that will happen. Remember how they devoted a whole segment of RAW on him apologising to King and claiming responsibility for his idiot heel antics? Then a week later he was doing the same shit, hell the only reason you can tell his feud's over with JR/King is because they don't do anything to retaliate.

The most annoying thing is he has a defence mechanism where Danielson puts on such an amazing match that he *has* to say something along the lines of "Daniels' bringing it right now!" or "He's demonstrating how he's the best submission wrestler in the company" and then 30 seconds later when the heel wins he'll revert back to the jackass he is.

INDEED

With Matt hardy in the news for being a drunk arse and Jeff hardy court cast in a never ending delay what does wrasslegaf bet that TNA will make Jeff there champion now that he is returning in order to get some publicity?

also new thread title idea

Well he did say he got a new custom TNA belt with glowing lights for his entrance and knowing TNA's knack for making shitty decisions, I'd say yes.

Not gonna lie, when I got into wrestling going into Grade 8 I was a lot more violent and got into a couple scraps. I also got into a fight after school in the parking lot too where I ended up breaking my nose and dislodging one of my front teeth which required me to get a root canal and a crown. :(

I can see where he's coming from. As you pointed out, there's plenty to talk about. However, the random "promo cutting" and attempts at jokes and gif replies do make the thread fly by. It's easy to miss the discussion when the joking around starts. If you follow the thread closely, then you when the wrassle talk happens and when the post-wrassle fun begins.
Can it be annoying? Sure, depending on who does it and how funny they really are.
Is there no discussion in here? No, there definitely is a lot to talk about, as you kindly pointed out.
Now, to address the real issues at hand.

Wrestling and vidja games are ruinin' our society. I'm scared to go outside!

Should I post the new thread now or wait?
Why? What happens at 20k posts?

Ok JdFox, I'll bite. Let's go ahead and break down your complaints.

If by "quality" you mean stupid gifs, ridiculous memes and absolutely no discussion involving wrestling outside of maybe a couple posts here and there in between shows, you're right.
People like making gifs of memorable parts of Raw and Smackdown; sometimes they're funny, and people will keep using them when relevant. Other times they won't be as good and they'll die down after a day or two. I've seen this happen even since I've lurked here, so I don't know where this complaint is coming from all of a sudden.

As for your complaint about how there's "no discussion involving wrestling outside of maybe a couple of posts?" Do you just completely tune out during Raw, Smackdown, PPVs, and TNA? Plenty of people talk during and after the shows. Just because you're choosing to ignore that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. There's also a natural lull in between shows, but of course everyone has to stay on topic even when there might not be much going on. Heaven forbid people talk about something funny that is wrestling-related.

The discussion has gone to absolute shit over the past couple of years. Looking at the previous threads, there was actually discussion.
And I bet wrestling was actually exciting and fun to talk about back then too, right? You can easily place the discussion blame on the overall quality of wrestling. Face facts: WWE and TNA are at their worst quality that they have ever been in a long time. Discussions about "this thing sucks" can only go on for so long before people get tired of hearing it. And when TNA and WWE did something cool and exciting (example: The Rock coming back and Punk with his pipe-bombs), there was plenty to discuss and plenty of non-"shit" posts.

Now we have pages of stupid spamming of the same dumb Twitter post, stupid jokes that most people find insulting rather than humorous, dumb gifs and blatant spamming that has all accumulated so much that it's caused moderators to come in here and tell people to stop. Quality discussion right there when bish has to come in and threaten people to stop with the shit.
You can't really stop people from quoting the same thing over and over because it's hard to tell if something is quotable or not. You can only hope and ask that people learn to cut the tags from things (which actually has been asked recently). But when several people quote and respond within the same 5-10 minute window, chances are you're going to see a lot of repeats.

Refresh my memory please: which jokes do people find insulting? Because aside from people blaming *** ******** for snitching, I don't recall a single joke where multiple people were offended. Or is this just you trying to be the voice of the voiceless?

As for your last comment, Bish only came in because someone tipped him off over Midnight WrassleGAF getting too big for its britches. I'm personally sad to see it gone, but I'll be the first to admit that it's for the best.

So instead of whining that things are getting worse, why not take the initiative once in a while and bring up something to talk about? I guarantee you'll get more responses than just sitting around with your arms crossed pouting.

All right, Professor, two things:
1) who snitched? Tell me, please!
2) what exactly was midnight wrestlegaf? I was banned at the time and only caught glimpses.

Look, in the end, this is a thread about a business that caters to kids while operating on a business model that forces its "independent contractors" to use drugs to maintain their performance and keep up with the rigorous schedule despite not providing them any options for the future, going so far as to depush people like Mickie James for having the temerity to get her college degree because it proved she "wasn't serious about the WWE", causing them to lie, con, and cheat their way to more payoffs long after they should be retired just so they can buy more drugs. I'd say the people who post stupid gifs and ridiculous memes give pro wrestling exactly the right amount of respect it A friend RVD made comment few week back..now I no why, i say a small tag team called the YB's did hay shake my hand no! Yes I said SMALL!!!
